You seen Bryce play football last year and this year? After seeing 18 games with him quarterbacking, I don't think the dude could play CFL or USFL very well let alone an all pro in the NFL.

I never did understand Chinn. Looked good his rookie year and then disappeared. I realize we had crap coaching and they werent playing him where he was meant to play so I figured he would have caught fire in Washington but apparently not.

Carolina has struggled developing QB's since Cam but it still doesnt change the fact that Bryce has shown to simply be a bad NFL QB.

I HATE the Saints but Drew Brees is one of the best to ever throw a football. He was a wizard and amazing. When I look at Bryce I dont see Drew Brees tangibles. Brees was actually fairly strong, he regularly worked out, his arm while perhaps not the strongest in the NFL was still a very solid arm and he had a football IQ better than most everyone elses. He did not fold under pressure and played with a very hot competitive fire. I have not seen any of that in Bryce unfortunately. Take Bryce and dump him on those Saints teams back then and I dont see how he could have even come close to replicating what Drew Brees did. You are talking about a first ballot hall of famer and had he played as many seasons Brady would probably hold the most yards and TD passes records. Brees was the best of the best, I just don't see that in Bryce at all.

If he was playing better last season I would think that may have something to do with it but he looked god awful most all of last year too so id say its not the girlfriend, its just he is a bad NFL QB. Im sure Bryce got his and clapped them cheeks a few times so he walks away with trophy memories and can always find another groupie or gold digger to pound out. Any time I have ever had a bad breakup with a chick when I was younger I always tried to look at the bright side and hold my head high knowing I got her to do some of the sickest things imaginable. The kind of sick poo a farmer in West Virginia wouldn't even think of to do with his goat. Thinking in those terms really makes you feel better in the long run or is a good coping mechanism.

God so much analysis of Bryce Young. facts are he seems to be an okay dude but also seems to not have the edge it takes to be a QB in the NFL also appears a lack of the skill set and size it takes. Its life I guess. I'm sure he isn't happy about being benched and probably going through the regular emotions of down, depressed, embarrassed and some anger at many things. Its all normal with an athlete that was basically told he was not good enough right now. poo happens and it sucks for him but that bank account will make him feel better and sustain him through the rest of his life since I doubt he gets a second high dollar contract from any team. Hopefully Dalton proves what he can do and gets our young players some development on the field by sustaining drives and completing passes is all I hope for.

This is true. He did enough to earn the number one draft pick and had to maintain a big skill level to start in high school, be noticed by Saban at Alabama and be offered a full ride to which he responded by winning the starting gig at Alabama and performing well enough to be drafted number one overall. Just because the dude can't play pro ball or QB an NFL team very well does not mean he didn't earn it all the way to draft day. Athletics will occasionally get political and a better player may start but there is no way in hell Bryce could ever have had that much handed to him just because when other coaches jobs are on the line.

I liked Whitehurst. He was a nice guy as well as talented enough to hold a solid backup huge for years. Great college player also! Has he been out of the league that long now? Wow time flies!

Anybody know how tall Bryce truly is? No way he is 5'10. I was guessing around 5'8-5'9 (at the tallest) and 180-185 pounds at most

Bryce's parents or anyone close to him can't possibly be shocked by this can they? He has been so awful bad for so long now I just don't get how it came as a shock? If I were them I would be talking life up to him telling him "Son you are now making millions and getting the best tickets in the stadium to watch the game for free. Heck, they are even going to let you wear the uniform and run out the tunnel each game". Bryce being a crap QB means nothing at this point. He has already won at life and made millions and if his career ends he leaves with his full health and memories. Hopefully his parents aren't too upset. I would be ecstatic if my boy were offered millions to be a backup one day in the NFL.

I guess you get little airtime when our organization fails so poorly year after year that we couldn't even beat our own dingys if we tried.

We already have a guy who throws for 120 yards a game though. Fields is bigger and moves better though I totally agree with you there.
