  1. I hope this puts an end to that B.S. test once and for all.
  2. But...he wasn't perfect against Michigan!
  3. Yeah, CJ will definitely have some bad games. I'm sure the INT's are coming soon. But the future looks bright for CJ and Houston.
  4. Sanders did have 98 total yards in game 1. I want to wait and see.
  5. I will, because I live in Portland and Seattle is considered "local".
  6. He did force that INT. I can't believe all the anti-Burns talk after 2 games. BTW, I wouldn't trade Burns for anything less than Patrick Sertain.
  7. The book on CJ is that he's had these amazing Ohio State receivers. Which is true. But I always maintained that he's one of the reasons why. His "style" is making those receivers look good. He stands in the pocket, and releases the ball quickly to a receiver (usually) in stride. Like a well-oiled machine. My goodness, Stroud made Collins, Woods and the rookie Dell look like a formidable trio Sunday. In fact, Collins leads the league among receivers in 3rd down conversions and Woods is #3!!! I can't help but wonder what CJ would be able to do with Thielen, Chark and TMJ. After all, TMJ actually had more yards than Collins last year. Anyway, the book on Bryce is that he's kinda like Mahommes. His savvy and ability to extend plays was 2nd to none in college. And, of course, he can make those occasional deep passes. If he can make that work in the NFL, it could be very special. But I'm not sure it's the best way to get the most out of your receivers.
  8. To be fair, I think that Rhule and his rookie OC killed Teddy's last chance to be a great QB in this league. He became a backup somewhere else. And, frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if these experiences killed his confidence. Teddy had a good completion %, made Robbie Anderson a thousand yard receiver for the first (only?) time in his NFL career and, of course, gave another 1000 yards to DJ. Even though he's led game-winning drives for other teams in the past, he had none for us. But he also had a terrible offensive line and, apparently, coaches who didn't properly train these guys for 2-minute drills or red zone offense. That's what Teddy said, and clearly it was true. Anyway, Teddy's career as a starter is over. Bryce still has a chance. But looks like it will take him time to adjust. I just can't help but wonder why I was hearing about all this chemistry between he and Chark in training camp as well as other receivers...and yet, we haven't seen it.
  9. I love that moment. Also a quick decision on his part.
  10. I understand where you're coming from.
  11. I think it means, be decisive. Throw it out of bounds or scramble if noone's open.
  12. Always been my concern. He, himself, said if the lane isn't there, he goes with anticipation (could that have been a factor regarding those 2 INTs last week?)...otherwise he has to run out of the pocket and "extend" plays.
  13. Yeah, I just found out he may be a trade option for the Giants.
  14. Hmm...I wonder if the Bears will let go of Foreman?
  15. Didn't Bryce allegedly have a bad o-line and mediocre receivers his last year at Alabama? Maybe Frank should go back to the Alabama footage and see if we can mimic what they did that season to be successful. Maybe a matter of adapting to Bryce's game... ...something like that. Hell, we're all trying to figure it out.
  16. That's what I was wondering about. Stroud was missing 4 starters on the line but look where he is on the chart. If you watch the game, he was getting the ball out quick. Look, you gotta release the ball quick, or run with it. Either way, be decisive.
  17. Y'all don't understand how badly I want to be wrong about all the red flags I had about Bryce. Obviously, the two weeks have done nothing to alleviate those concerns. But I will be patient. The Play calling, receivers and pass protection are definitely not great right now, so. We'll see...
  18. The o-line will get better. I have confidence Zavala and Mays will improve with every game. Like Icky did last year. Plus, Corbett should return this season.
  19. So, Holton Ahlers is trying out for Green Bay. Hope he finds a place!
  20. I mean, did anyone consider the Texans' Nico Collins a great WR coming into the season? He was a 3rd round pick a couple of years ago. Had few yards last year than TMJ. Yet, he looked elite this Sunday. Just offering a perspective.
  21. Ironic, since the media put him on that pedestal .
  22. I just wanna say, this idea that Bryce is always calm and cool is a fantasy. Monday night, his face said calm and cool, but his actions were frustration, confusion and panic. He looked like me my first day of Basic Training. He even got behind the wrong lineman to begin one snap. It's okay. He's human, after all. But maybe not quite as brilliant as many made him out to be? Anyway, I'm rooting for him. I hope he's as clever as we think. If so, he will adapt.
  23. One of the critiques I'm hearing from the media is the Panthers lack a deep threat to spread the offense. But I'm confused. I thought TMJ was supposed be good at that, considering: https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2023/06/16/terrace-marshall-stats-a-j-brown/
