Imagine if the Texans pass on a QB and the Falcons trade up to 3 to get Stroud. Sounds like an unlikely scenario but the rivalry between us would reach epic proportions.

Right and we do have to consider the team around him since they didn't exactly do him any favors last year. There are just so many factors to consider when evaluating a player's performance that its hard to single just one aspect out.

Yep, you do raise a good point in that the inverse is true as well ... people boosting the test to be important because their favorite prospect scored high on it. It is interesting and make you wonder what unfounded things we all value or devalue that could be influenced by other factors.

Not trying to be controversial, but I do find it interesting the correlation between people who are strict Stroud supporters and who say the S2 Test is meaningless. If Stroud scored high would these people be believers in the test? Sidenote: I do think you'd see the same phenomenon if Bryce scored low.

I don't know if I go so far as label him a fraud, but I do feel something disingenuous about him when he gives interviews. Maybe it's how he mentions Jesus/God after every question, almost like he's hamming it up for the camera ... I don't know. Just something feels off and not as natural as when Bryce is giving interviews. Bryce looks to be a Christian too, but at least he doesn't air it out every time he speaks. Though, it could just be something as simple as he hasn't been coached on good public relations. (case in point when he mentioned both Michael Vick and Deshaun Watson) I love CJ as a prospect so I'm not trying to bash him but I'm glad I'm not the only one who has felt this way. I was on the fence with these prospects, but I think this combined with Bryce's intelligence, preparedness, and professionalism has pushed him over the edge for me as my #1 despite the size difference. As for Lombardi ... pretty shitty to knowingly throw this out there so close to the draft. It's almost like someone has paid him for this hit piece or fishing for views for his little known network with sensational headlines. Anyway, can't wait for the start of the season, I'm pumped!

This thread really just serves as confirmation bias to the quarterback that you were already leaning towards. The reality is, if the quarterback that the Panther's choose busts, and the other goes on to have a pro career, it's going to suck regardless. Where I sit, I do have a preference, simply based on things I've read or watched, but I'm not going to pretend like I have a better understanding of these guys over people who are paid to do this, have a far deeper understanding of the game, and have countless more data to compare against. Whoever the Panthers pick, will have my full support and trust. Keep pounding
