Right now there’s at least 6 teams with offers on the table to the Canes. Is one of those teams someone he told them he would sign with… dunno if anyone but Tulsky knows.
If Tulsky doesn't trade him he is not only a dork, he's an idiot

looks like the Rangers are in big - reported that Moose said he would sign long term with them - as I said before Tulsky didn't vet this before hand and got suckered in to trading Necas and Drury for a player that NEVER wanted to come here.

Mikko will not sign by the trade deadline he’s informed the team.
Carolina is trying to decide to keep him for a run or trade him before Friday.
he's as good as gone - Tulsky better at least get something back but either way he fugged up bad

Well folks, here we are. The awkward, smelly kid in the far corner of the dance that no one wants to talk to. Not even the chaperones.
The small market jerks with the asshole owner no one wants to deal with. The city no WAG can thrive in with a coach who's system would neuter even Ovi. And to top it off, a GM so far up(?) the spectrum he mortgaged the farm for a 12 game rental that he's about to sheepishly return + late fees.
...
Or
...
I've got a theory!
Say you're ET, and 2 weeks before the trade deadline, you offer your shiny, new trade piece your best offer. He says he needs some time to decide.
You can't offer him more money, because Daddy Dundon sets his price and won't pay a cent over. The agent doesn't even bother sending a counter offer because they know how stubborn Tom is. Everyone on the interwebs is making fun of you!
What do you do?
You field offers from around the league. You even let them negotiate an extension beforehand, so they don't end up in the same boat you are.
Oh, you're not gonna trade him. He was always gonna be a part of this cup run!
But, now you have a lot more data to work with. Mikko gets an idea what his FA market would look like. All those small details that the agents wouldnt even bother discussing with you? Toronto's GM hammered all those out for you.
And, most importantly, you can go back to Dundon and tell him, "Dallas is willing to give up 10m barrels of oil, 12 tons of smoked brisket, both of Cotton Hill's shins and pay $xx,xxx, xxx more than you. Maybe, he's more valuable than you think..."
And, now you have 3 months to focus on winning a championship. And, if he can etch his name on that cup again, he'll probably sign that dotted line, too!
TL:DR
your best work yet!!

Yup that 1.98 GAA in the playoffs for us is just terrible how dare the Hurricanes need to score more than 2 to win!

Im worried about Moose, since he's been here I've seen him make great passes to set up grade A scoring opportunities only to see the shots miss the net or hit the goalie center mass - he is losing a ton of assists and without a true sniper on this team does he want to stay? Also I notice he is spending a lot of time down low behind the net to set up guys - did he do this in Colorado and if so how did he score 55 goals? Is Rod's system just not a good fit for him?

I’m not going to lie, I am very tempted to pick us to get shutout. But for the sake of the game, give me Svech.
I will pick a shutout - this could be the defining game of the season - put up or shut up, we'll see what the Canes are made of
-
this reminds me of when the Whalers traded for Brendon Shanahan [yes I'm that old] he just couldn't fit in, and they traded him to Detroit and as they say the rest is history. I hope I'm wrong but this team is so out of whack, who doesn't have set lines 3/4 of the way through the season?

The offer has been submitted, times ticking
Friedman reported it could be in the 100 million range, Moose seems to be really butthurt by the trade and says he needs time to process. Like philit said - times ticking

Some of this could be true. Some could be BS. I would say if he continues to struggle for the next 5 games he could get dealt. Which would be a blunder of all blunders.
Let's hope Tulsky did due diligence on this, lots of things are said in negotiations and a lot of it is just posturing. I fully expect him to sign with the Canes or it will be the blunder of all time.

agreed, on a serious note Canada has the best snipers, but USA has the best defensemen

What's up with Rantanen, after watching him with the Canes and team Finland he looks slow and hesitant,
hard to believe he is a 100 point guy. Did that trade break him?
