    Now that Rod is locked up what the Canes need to do is get an elite goalie - the man defense he plays will always have breakdowns in the playoffs and we need a goalie that can consistently stop the resulting breakaways. Maybe Kooch but I would feel better to get a proven performer.

    I'm ok with the signings - I'll be really ok if they go out and get a stud goalie or at least give Koochie a true shot, Freddy is not the answer even in a rotation.

    this is just as much on management, keep getting us average at best goalies instead of spending on a stud

    Freddy is not a playoff goalie, never was - and what the heck happened to Orlov, he should have got the assist on Trocheck's goal, a perfect pass, and the unnecessary icing that led to the winning goal
