  1. I don't want to speak for anyone but to me WR1 is the top WR that gets the best corner or safety help assignment. Not speaking where they line up. It is what type of coverage do they commend. Are they a multiplayer, meaning do they require 2 on 1 coverage, giving the offense single coverage opportunities elsewhere.
  2. Uh, I believe Diggs was on the other side.
  3. True, but he was also much faster and not 32.
  4. Hate to disappoint you, DJ Chark is no Justin Jefferson and you don't yet have a guy like Cousins throwing the rock. Things may be a bit different for Thielen when he doesn't have a guy like Jefferson on the other side taking away safety help.
  5. You are not wrong about Bears wide receivers. But I think they are excited most about this stat. https://twitter.com/FieldYates/status/1634351742564352001?s=20
  6. Technically I guess you are correct, because the Carolina wanted more than a 1st.
  7. I could be wrong but I believe the Packers offered Carolina a 1st round pick for him at the trade deadline.
  8. Could also be Hopkins is already over 30 and coming off a year where he was suspended for PEDs. There aren't a lot of teams that can afford to take a $19M hit to their cap space in 2023.
  9. I'm sorry, I had to post this. But I think it's funny https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRv2AMfR/
  10. Crossing my fingers, they haven't done much in free agency to add to the line. I guess there is still a second wave of free agency when teams make cuts.
  11. Not sure, saw the same thing happen in Chicago when they traded Roquan Smith. He was a tackling machine and an all pro but Bears fans were talking so much smack about him after he was moved. Suddenly he couldn't tackle or make impact plays so good riddance. Really sucked to see him go.
  12. Saw some comments I thought were unfair. My apologies if I ruffled some feathers.
  13. @frankw and @JawnyBlaze thanks for taking the drama out of the discussion and providing your honest assessments. Wasn't my intention to piss off some of the people on here. Hopefully both teams come away happy with the trade.
  14. Thanks for the additional information. So basically he is an NFL wide receiver (prima donnas). The season will be interesting with him and Claypool who is also Moody. I guess what surprised me was Carolina turned down a 1st round pick for him from GB at the trade deadline. Based on what I'm hearing I would have thought they would jump at that opportunity.
  15. Didn't seem like he was pissed to me but you guys would know his personality better. I think he will do very well in Chicago. If he is lazy as one of the posters said here, it will definitely be an issue with the coaching staff. The team grades every player on every play in practice as well as games.
  16. Definitely agree. He needs to take the next step to prove he is a franchise QB. Hopefully they will continue to build around him. I think he would have looked much better as a passer if you had taken him. You guys actually have an offensive line, and he wouldn't have been running for his life. Fields was not known as a runner in college. He was one of the best deep ball throwing QBs in the NFL last year. He needs to get better at taking the check downs and understand every play can't be a home run.
  17. Lol, we thought so much of the QBs coming out this year we decided to keep a QB that can't throw. Good luck with Young, hopefully he can see over the line. That's who you are drafting, right? Please tell me your GM knew who he was talking before giving up the farm. Oh well, at least you can cherish that super bowl you won. Oh wait...
  18. Oh definitely will enjoy watching this team. I'm sure you realized the team was gutted and setup to lose so we can get a high pick and get rid of high price players. Those 3 wins got us a nice haul. And if our "franchise" QB doesn't pan out, guess what we have draft capital to go get another (thanks Carolina!). What's your contingency if the rookie you draft is a bust? I have to be honest, this is the first time I've heard of DJ not giving effort on the field. I haven't watched many Carolina games. You guys would know him better than me. I'll have to research.
  19. This is hilarious. I watched the interview and didn't feel like he said anything controversial. Was the same old standard player interview, boring. Understandable most of you are upset after getting fleeced in the trade. That's no reason to dog the dude. Just move on and be happy with the lottery ticket you just purchased.
  20. Guess who else averaged 5TDs & 1000 yards (actually 920) per season? Steve Smith. I'm not saying Moore is Steve Smith but I'm also not buying he will be easily replaced either.
  21. Good catch, thanks. 2022: Mayfield/Darnold/Walker
  22. I could be wrong but didn't Carolina turn down a first round pick offer from GB for Moore at the trade deadline? Based on what I have read the offer from Carolina was a 1st & 2nd in 2025. Chicago wanted Moore or no deal. What he has achieved in 5 seasons (365/5201/21) is nothing short of a miracle, with the QBs throwing to him. Believe me, being a Bears fan, I recognize mediocrity when I see it. Let me remind you: 2018: Newton/Allen/Heinicke 2019: Newton/Allen/Grier 2020: Bridgewater/Walker 2021: Newton/Darnold/Walker 2022: Newton/Darnold/Walker Not sure if it was calculated, but taking away the best player on Carolina's offense was a brilliant move by Poles. It takes away a security blanket for the rookie QB and hopefully results in a better pick for the Bears in 24. Good luck trying to replace his contribution. Hopefully, Carolina will find a replacement after the 2025 season.
  23. I think it was a fair trade on both sides. You want the #1 pick you have to give up assets. Anyway, we will not know who really won the trade for another 2-3 years. Carolina is banking on the QB they draft being successful. Chicago is banking making the right picks with the draft capital they got back. Chicago is also hoping Carolina will have a bad record in 23, since they will be without their top WR, hopefully starting a rookie QB and new coaching staff. Personally, I hope whichever QB you select has a great career after 2025.
