10 days ago I would've disagreed with this statement. After 2 games you're probably about right.

I definitely thought Bryce was ready to start until I witnessed how inept the oline is. I thought coming into the season he had the luxury of a top 10 oline. It appears he doesn't remotely have anything close to that. He's not big enough to have unguarded guys take free shots at him and not suffer permanently from that. I think until these massive problems have some kind of remedy keep him on the bench.

Why does he get so much grief about his frame. At the combine cj outweighed him by 11 pounds but was 4 inches taller. Trevor Lawrence Weighs around 210 and is over 6'5. If you add 6 pounds per inch in height these guys would be well below 200 pounds.

Less be honest. I think DJ moore may have been hyped a bit to much since the trade. These national blowhards treat him like he's prime Randy Moss going to Chicago. So far Bryce has looked the part and then some even though no contact. If he's a a top 6-7 qb the next few years the trade was awesome for Carolina.

Qbs with limited field vision and processing skills have problems with batted balls. I sure never remember Brees having that issue. Mayfield was a prime example.

He doesn't play barefoot. So he's never going to be that height in a game. He's going to always be around 6 feet while playing.

In defense of Sam his last starts when he came back looked vastly better than under his 2 previous coaching staffs. There's probably never been a young qb with worst staffs to start a career. While I don't think he's a top tier type qb he can be a starter in the nfl.

The Panthers finished a stupid play out of the playoffs last year with cast of bad coaches and bad qbs. They have significantly upgraded in all areas. I expect 11 wins next season and hosting a playoff game.

Young is a 180 pound qb. That's not big at any level of football much less the nfl. He's a smart guy and processes great. He's gonna be the panther qb and hopefully hold up for 5 good years. I'd choose Maye over him based on Mayes incredible skill level and great size. The sad thing about young is he checks off so many important boxes as a qb but is a very small human by fb standards.

I guess the great thing some good fb minds are gonna do some serious evaluating with both and weigh all the positives and negatives. Both had phenomenal stats and come from top notch programs. We'll see!

If Bryce young were 3 inches taller and 15 pounds heavier I'd be absolutely ecstatic over him but he's not. Stroud has the natural size you like and great stats. That being said Stroud is the safe choice.

That's true but that wasn't a natural 204. That's why he didn't run the 40. He came in heavy because 200 plus looks and sounds a lot better when getting drafted.

Every other Mayfield pass was batted down last year. He's got 2-3 inches on Young. That and Youngs a natural 190 pound guy is plenty enough reason to run as fast away from him as possible.

There's absolutely nothing in this year's draft worth giving up next years draft over. If Drake Maye or the qb from S Cal were in the draft then yes. There's not a qb in this class remotely close to those guys.
