  1. Canes have been lights out on the PP and PK for 10 games, working on making it 11 games. Hodl the line men!!!
  2. Let ‘em try. Meanwhile the Canes will go for the Win! …Ruuuuummmbleeee!
  3. Season stats favor the Rangers, however last 10 games Canes have played very well, especially on special teams, so I took a look at last 10 game stats for both teams. Feel free to check me on the math. 1/2/24 : Hurricanes Last 10 games stats Record 6-1-3 GFA = 3.6 GAA = 2.5 PPG 15/36 = 41.7% PK 32/35 = 91.4% 1/2/24 : Rangers Last 10 games stats Record 7-3-0 GFA = 3.9 GAA = 2.5 PPG 12/35= 34.3% PK 20/24= 83.3% Sources: https://www.statmuse.com/nhl/ask/carolina-hurricanes-last-10-games-record https://www.statmuse.com/nhl/ask/new-york-rangers-last-10-games
  4. Jesper Fast out for Tuesdays game against the Rags due to the hit to the head. Rod doesn’t know for how long he’s out. https://x.com/waltruff/status/1741874170705649807?s=46
  5. Slightly yes. But GAA Is worse so it’s pretty much a draw, the fact is both Raanta and Samsonov have two of the worst goalie records in the league for this season. The leafs fans are as hard against Samsonov as canes fans are against Raanta. Pick your poison. I still pull for Raanta to improve and wish the same for Samsonov.
  6. Breaking! Carolina has changed their name to the Carolina Punters.
  7. It’s almost like the o-line just stands there and let’s the defense through. Pathetic effort.
  8. Yes if Anderson comes back let’s stick with him. I don’t doubt Samsanov would have better stats with the Canes but it’s definitely a gamble without knowing if he’s having issues with an old injury causing his poor play this season.
  9. Not sure what you mean by different team, he went from Washington to the Leafs for the 22-23 season and had his best year ever with a .919 save percentage in 42 games. He lost being first goalie due to his play this season.
  10. Found this, I wonder if his ATV accident injury in 2020 has come back to affect him this season. https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/washington-capitals/news/washington-capitals-former-ilya-samsonov-waivers-toronto-maple-leafs
  11. I don’t know what’s up with him but he’s been lit up this year with a worse than Raanta GAA. Granted against some good teams. If he can get back to his 22-23 stats might be worth a gamble.
  12. Young sucks. My grandma could have completed that pass that was low.
  13. Bryce has a 3 second window to do something with this line, and even then it’s under heavy pressure. Ridiculous.
  14. 4th and long and Panthers go for it, Bryce sacked. This happens so often it must be a set play.
  15. The problem with looking at points alone is that the Canes have played several more games than most other teams in the conference. So to see where we really are I compare point %. Based on that we have a ways to go to move up in the Eastern division to ensure we make the playoffs. Here’s a point % in the Metro:
  16. Special teams and outstanding goalie play wins this one. 2 PP goals and 0 for 3 on the PK. Holding the Leafs to 2 goals is good work way to go Kootchie.
  17. Young wouldn’t have stopped that puck either. lol but yeah agree with ya.
  18. Agree but you would never have called a screen on a goal let in by Raanta haha
  19. Austin Powers dirty puck slam into Canes players after his penalty call should have been another penalty right there.
  20. If you had told me before the game Canes would be up on the Leafs 2-0 after two I woulda said get outta here. Solid team play and outstanding goalie play.
  21. Koochie has been the difference on the lapses for sure, keeping us in it.
