lol right. Thanks for being my personal auto-correct.

Aho baby!

Rangers coming out with heavy hits, part of their strategy to wear the Canes down. I expect them to target Aho. Return the favor boys.

Awesome!!!

Like the song not sure it fits. I know some of you might not like this but for the playoffs I’d like to hear this after each Canes score:
-
At least it wasn’t on fire! Not that big of a deal but waking up to passengers screaming sure gave my daughter an adrenaline rush. She sent me a video one of the other passengers sent to her, it ended up in the news and on youtube.
-
Hopefully both engines work - my daughter and her husband flew a budget airlines flight and one of the engines blew off the front cowl. She had just dozed off and woke up to passengers screaming lol. They turned around and landed just fine on one engine fortunately. This flight:

I corrected that on my next post if you look (was responding to others).

Maybe, Stephan or Pulju, Stastny is in the lineup for sure, Just saw it on the Canes ap.
-
Stastny has far better G, P, and SH% than Pulju if you’re looking for goals. If you want hits then Pulju. This sounds like Stastny plays but it’s not really clear-

Same here! Checkers have already made the playoffs too.

I don’t buy that. Aho can score on the islanders with his skating speed and shooting accuracy. Canes speed matters here. Stop Brock Nelson whose a big part of their scoring. Horvat hasn’t been that impressive so far with the Islanders though his playoff experience could change that. Canes in 6 games. Maybe 5 if we run hot.
-
Looking at the competition- Bo Horvat acquired by Islanders from Vancouver for a $68 million 8 year contract (he’s 28) at the TDL. That’s a pricey long term contract for someone who will be 36 in their 8th year. Horvat has 38 goals, 32 assists in 70 regular season games, most of that with Vancouver. With the Islanders in 30 games he had 7 goals and 9 assists. Against the Canes April 2nd he had 0 goals and 0 points. He has solid playoff experience, with Vancouver in the 2020 playoffs 17 games played he had 10 goals and 2 assists. So that’s a look at paying out for a big contract- I think it helped save the Islanders season but will it make the difference in the playoffs? Heres some of the rest of the Islander players stats.

Yeah I missed that too all it shows in my iphone is a square box, emoji’s don’t show up for me except the pie etc ones that are part of the forum.

Very true, and we scored 4 regular goals plus the two empty netters doing it. Score 3-4 goals a game and I think we win the series. Freddie gave up some of goals he should have had (per Rod “Freddie had some good saves and some m sure he wanted back”.) I saw 2 goals Freddie should have had and another maybe, and I put one GA on the rest of the team for a giveaway. Keep in mind thought we held them to 2 goals until they pulled their goalie early and played 6-4 for a minute and then 6 on 5.
-
Darn good question, I certainly hope so. Regular season we have a very good road win record, the same was true in the 2021-2022 season. Yet we had no road wins in 2022 playoffs, and just 2 in two rounds of the 2021 playoffs. Time to change that and get some playoff road wins.

I remember that happening in pro football when a team bucked the retreads trend and hired a college coach with absolutely no Pro experience. It didn’t turn out well. *Matt Rhule has entered the discussion*

Has anyone else watched the movie Valiant? A great documentary, I watched on Amazon Prime last night. It’s about the Vegas Golden Knights first season as a new franchise, at the backdrop of the nations worst mass shooting in history. I wish the Canes would see this, and open their eyes to what they can be in the playoffs if they believe in themselves and play their best.
-
I’ve tried that, using the Canes ap online radio there’s always a big delay so it doesn’t synch with cable tv. Maybe I will try to find out if there’s a local Charlotte station that carry’s Canes games with less delay.
-
All the games are on BSSO, with Mike and Trip and Hanna, excellent!

Nothing says poverty franchise better than this stupid ad. Hate it.

Loved this tweet lol

You realize your standing in poo while typing that, right? *Looks at Carolina Panthers playoff history last 5 years…oops, nothing there.* CH has boards for other NC professional sports, we’re just saying hey why not support the Canes who are fighting hard and just won the Metro, and in the playoffs. Without our major player Svechnikov lost to injury. Canes have made the playoffs 5 years straight. If the Panthers come together and believe and fight like that, you have a team going to the playoffs. Good luck!

I watched the best parts of the game again on Bally Sports replay, that last 3 minutes with 4 goals scored was the wildest play I’ve seen lol.
