  1. That’s how you take away cats momentum!! whoooo! Drury was due!
  2. “Bennett to the box” is always a beautiful thing to hear.
  3. You guys just love to blame the goalie geesh. Slavin turned the puck over in the middle. The shot inadvertently deflected off a stick (I think Fasts) near the net. Was not a “soft” goal.
  4. No goal. whoooo! Slavin and the Canes get a break.
  5. Yep. Luke DeCock @LukeDeCock MacEachern for Stepan based on warmups.
  6. That’s good to know, but I would think they would want to practice with them at the center position on a line they would play with. Haven’t heard of that happening but not sure.
  7. Who has even practiced at center that would replace him?
  8. This gives me hope for something that resembles the best lineup I’ve seen out there, the game 4& 5 lineups that beat the devils. Would rather we let Turbo have more time to get back up to par with more practices, and depending on how Freddie is feeling play Raanta if needed. Here’s the lineups we had for May 9 and 11 that ended the devils season:
  9. And for comparison here’s Freddie Anderson stats:
  10. Good description of Bobs style of play. No one argues that Bob isn’t an excellent goalie. Elite he’s not. Look at his regular season stats for this season.
  11. Against the Bruins Bob was lit up for 6 goals in game 4 and 5 goals in game 6, so he’s not unbreakable. He played his best against the Leafs limiting to 2 goals a game and the Panthers defense played a part in that.
  12. Bob does have a good glove but he goes low too often. We kept trying to shove pucks under him when we should have gone high, the analysts noted the same thing. We barely missed several pucks hitting the bar when Bobs glove was a foot away- keep that up and we win. Of course cross crease passes are a way to beat any goalie, that’s a no brainer. Be ready for rebounds but don’t count on them to win that’s what bob was best at, preventing rebounds. Bobs not the superstar every game and we can open him up.
  13. Pucks up high, Bob flops down on almost every shot, and we light him up.
  14. We totally dominated the third period with 14 SOG to the panthers 2. If we play our game all three periods we have a chance to win a game. Yes we need to score 5 on 5 but good to see our PP working. We beat Florida last game of the season (yes Lyon in net) to stay ahead of the Devils so it’s not like they’re suddenly unbeatable. Agree it’s a tough road ahead but we knew it would be. Let’s see what Saturday brings.
  15. Apparently I give too many pies I’m blocked from giving more today haha. I agree with going with Raanta, Freddie needs a break. Also agree that the Canes were rusty initially after the long break. Maybe start Mac Attack as well. Time to win one Saturday.
  16. I’ve said this several times, you can’t win the playoffs with just two goals a game, even with our defense, have to get 3+. Canes did that against the devils but this is a tougher challenge. I really believe we can score more and the next game will have to show it. Freddie stopped 57 out of 60 shots, that’s an outstanding .950 save percentage. If your asking for more than that your trying to put it all on one man.
  17. Bob did an outstanding job preventing rebound shots and tip-ins. Canes have to open up his net 5 on 5 like they did on the PP. It’s self proving that a 4 OT game could have gone either way, just went the wrong way. Freddie kept us in this game so props to him. I thought Turbos puck handling was shaky even when he wasn’t pressured, hope he’s got that worked out for the next game or Mac goes in.
  18. Welp that does it. Our puck handling did us in, turnover in neutral zone, guys were spent.
