We weren’t trash in the 2nd, we were the better team and had 11 SOG to the bolts 6. Had some good looks at net but misfired. Stumpy nailed it, Canes have a propensity to give up late period goals. Same thing last year too. Not sure if it’s keeping lines on the ice too long and guys are tired or we just let up for some reason. Anyway let’s score goals in the 3rd boys.

Maybe just my memory but Canes sure seemed to play a lot more new players this preseason compare to the past.

Seems to me a lot of this was not playing the core together very much preseason. Essentially making this preseason quality. I figure this game will show us where we really are.

Cal Burke wasn’t on my radar, I had to look his stats up, his AHL stats didn’t impress me and only 2 games with Avalanche in NHL. Walt says he will play if Aho who is doubtful doesn’t play. He only lives 50 miles away from Denver in Loveland. Maybe he will be a nice surprise… we shall see.
