Hoping a goalie does well isn’t blind trust. Everyone here knows Freddie has struggled. But assuming a goalie will fail every game isn’t my style. I’m gonna do me lol.

turnover by Carrier right in front of the net resulted in that goal. But I get it, Goalie is always to blame here- if it’s Freddie.

What did you want, a bunch of fights? Fights don’t win games, goals do. As far as physicality goes the Canes had 35 hits to the Panthers 32. The Canes lost in the third when the Panthers scored 5 goals on only 14 SOG. Canes were rarely on offense with only 3 SOG in the period. Canes lost due to defensive breakdowns, mistakes and a poorly defended net. Played in a panic, not their game.

I think Rod will be around a while longer, though these last three games hurt his stock. It appears that for these games with nice leads the opponent scores and then the Canes overreact and don’t stick with their game. I think it’s a confidence issue. With Bussi in net they were spoiled by him making great plays and when he let a goal in when the other team made a push, or anytime Freddie is in net and the opponent scores they fall apart and instead of offense the Canes get defensive, overreact and make mistakes. Is there a sports psychologist in the house? Medic!!!

I like Rod, but putting Anderson in net was flat out dumb. He should never see another game with the Canes. The defensive breakdown was the primary cause but Anderson hasn’t stopped shots he should have.

Florida 7 SOG in 2 periods, that’s shutdown defense right there. And Freddie doing his job. Do that in the third!
