Leafs showing they are the real thing. Have to beat teams like this if you want to get out of the first round.
-
It’s more Canes beating themselves with turnovers that lead to grade A’s than it is koochie. Kooch hs made saves on several grade A’s but you just can’t allow Leafs to have this many.
-
A score on the PP when the 2nd starts gets us back in the game. Do it.
-
Leafs are ranked 3rd on the power play so will be a challenge for sure. I just want to see the Canes score on the PP. Leafs are also highly ranked for limiting SOG, Canes had 30 last time they played. Something to watch.
-
Leafs lost their last two games so you know they’ll be playing hard. But so will the Canes. Their defense against the PP has been outstanding: @WaltRuff The #Canes enter this evening not having allowed a power play goal in their last 12 games. 28 for their last 28, Tim Gleason's penalty kill is just one perfect night shy of matching the franchise record for the most consecutive games without allowing a goal on the man advantage.

Pacioretty Wants To Remain In Carolina
DavidEng replied to MillionDollarCam's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Found this article from Finland where Pacioretty had his latest ACL surgery. His previous surgery on his ACL tear was done in Raleigh, which as you know he re-injured only 5 months after that first surgery. This time it’s a more reasonable 8-9 months minimum if he is able to return to hockey. https://www-is-fi.translate.goog/nhl/art-2000009353145.html?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=fr&_x_tr_pto=wapp -

We’ve played well against Boston this season and think we’ll do the same even without Svech. Its the Rangers who’ve whipped us pretty good both times we played them and we have two games against them pretty soon. -
Yeah, tbh I’m a little skeptical as to how well the S2 Cognitive computer based test translates to on field performance without seeing past data for ALL the QBs to compare with actual performance. Also the article said Young has been taking that test since 10th grade, well you’re going to get better on any repeated test the more times you take it. Agree that the Panthers will make the decision that way we absolve ourselves of any blame lol

Don’t know if this has been posted, but fyi Bryce Young apparently scored high on the S2 Cognitive test for what that’s worth. https://www.bleachernation.com/nfl/2023/02/25/one-test-hints-this-qb-class-is-exceptional-packers-coaches-skipping-the-combine-and-other-nfl-bullets/

What a self-entitled and selfish POS.

True, Freddie had a good game other than giving up one on ones. Sometimes you have to stop some of those but Freddie hasn’t seemed to stop many of them. He did stop enough in the shootout a few games ago for us to win.

Final. Blackhawk’s beat Boston 6-3. First time this season Blackhawks have scored 6 goals.
-
Chicago Blackhawks hanging tough, leading the Bruins 4-3 in the third.
-
Good game, definitely a great team effort win. Glad to see the front line scoring. Wirh our goalies as they are, gotta figure many games we need to score 4-5 goals to win down the road.

Great pass from Noesen to Drury and Drury buried it!

Burns made a highlight reel stop on the Jets breakaway

Svech out Indefinitely Per nhl.com

Totally agree, give Svech time to fully heal. Seems we brought Pacioretty back too soon based on his re-injury. -
My 1st period observations - Canes fortunate to be a goal ahead with that puck bounce. Jets have had too many clean looks at the goal, we aren’t defending our net that well, fortunately Freddie has done a good job stopping pucks. Hopefully next period we send some pucks home.
-
On da board baby! Slavin!
-
lol Prediction - Ghost scores. Coghlan gives away the puck to make it irrelavent.
-
From Walt Ruff: The #Canes look at morning skate: Puljujarvi - Aho - Jarvis Teravainen - Kotkaniemi - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Stepan - Drury - Noesen Slavin - Burns Skjei - Pesce Gostisbehere - Coghlan Andersen in the starter’s crease. Jalen Chatfield, who suffered an upper-body injury last Tuesday in Montreal, is on the ice in a no-contact sweater.

Disastrous. -
We need healthy players first of all. Played without Svech and Chatfield tonight against NJD. We need scorers. Svech, Aho, Necas (in a breakout season)are exactly that, they need to step up. Ghost was a good add, I expect more good things from him. I want to see Puljujarvi get more time and see how he develops. I liked seeing him on the Aho line, maybe they can rekindle the chemistry they once had. Im just not ready to write this team off yet despite two bad games with no pucks in net. I still think that this is a better team than last year. We need to work on passes! Some poor passing tonight and several bad decision blind behind the back passes (and a couple good ones). And Raanta is our best chance in net, Pietr is still learning.
-
Don’t disagree we need a scorer. Just saying Timo hasn’t shown he would have been our ticket to the Stanley cup at this point and Ghost has been a good pick. If you can’t read the stats I posted I can’t help you lol.
