Donte is not lockdown. RB was wide open. Back breaking blown coverage by Donte.
-
That was after he and some other WR basically ran into each other. He was only open because Young had already broken to the right so he ran where the D didn’t follow him. Felt like that almost interception early where we had two WRs right next to each other bringing two DBs to the same spot.
-
Honestly, on offense, I am really starting to worry. Our D kept us in both games but we can’t score. This offense looks worse than Rhule/Wilks era. We had a trash OL in 2021 and we at least started with 24 ppg in weeks 1 to week 6 before opponents realized our OL was trash and Darnold was our QB. Of course losing CMC hurt. We certainly aren’t seeing that special spark to make us feel good about the future. Mingo has -2 yards and Marshall has done nothing. Lol at people thinking he’d have a 1000 yard season. SMH.
-
Yep, where are all the preseason doesn’t matter because we are making sure to be vanilla so the real stuff knocks the poo out of our two early division games. Seems like the poo we saw in preseason, that worried some of us, was a legit reason to worry.
-
I know I won’t rewatch it but I know for a fact the TD was on him and Woods knocked it out. I’m not 100% sure on the other one but I thought it was when the play happened. The TD knockout was replayed so definite, not the other.
-
Just an FYI, but Olave beat him for a TD but Woods saved him. Olave was also ridiculously open when Carr missed him by a mile before half.
-
We can’t with the trade. I miss the Sam Darnold start to 2021. I think that’s the best our offense has been since early 2018.
-
Well TBH, if we were holding back on showing things, keeping things vanilla and not playing starters much at all since we started with two division games, then yes we should be much farther along. Otherwise, we used our preseason completely wrong. I still laugh that Reich said he didn’t have time to tell Young that NFL defensive players will cheat at times. If Young hadn’t had enough NFL playing experience to learn that then he should have played a lot more because that lost us the game not Atlanta being surprised by the schemes we hid.
-
The preseason doesn’t matter crowd was about the results. I 100% agree that we didn’t use preseason correctly. The same people said we went bland and didn’t show much because we played Atlanta and NO out of the gate. If we lose tonight, that shows how dumb that was and that we should have been getting our rookie QB as many real reps as possible to avoid throwing the same interception twice, which Reich said was his fault because he didn’t have a chance to tell him that NFL defenders might cheat at times (sort of laughable coming from the SEC).
-
Isn’t it amazing how this place was basically saying with the off-season we had (adding the most ready rookie QB plus an all star coaching staff and our finish showing the Rhule effect was gone) meant we’d be favorites for the division? Then we got the preseason doesn’t matter mixed in with the we all know this would be a rebuild where playoff talk was clearly setting way to high expectations? I didn’t mind the Young trade but damn we need to see something promising. A loss like the Atlanta one would be really tough to swallow.
-
Past 5 I will give you but past 10 includes years we had way more talent and went to the Super Bowl. I would trade this team in a second for the 2013 team even with the next couple off seasons/drafts in a second if we could swap coaches.
-
Giants suck balls. Damn they got lucky last year.
-
You know why. Sam, Teddy, Baker, Okung, and on and on.
-
Please don’t compare TMJ to those two. When they played together the separation was a canyon. We over-drafted him when we desperately needed OL who were available. It’s something we tend to do.
-
Umm, Marshall never led those two in anything. Chase and Jefferson had 38TDs to Marshall’s 13. Chase had over 1000 yards more than Marshall and Jefferson had almost 900 yards more. Marshall was a clear WR3 and was closer to Moss (TE) and Helaire, who both had more receptions than Marshall. Marshall, just like Moss and Helaire, benefitted greatly from Chase and Jefferson. In no way was Marshall close to Chase and Jefferson.
-
He wanted an extension and is playing out the last year of his deal. It’s not surprising that he’d throw the coach under the bus. Pretty surreal he asked to be traded as well. That said, I agree with Ekeler, Staley isn’t a good coach. He’s even gotten lucky in his dumb decisions. I think last year he went for it against the Browns and the Browns kicker missed a FG to win the game. Against KC they had a win before a couple dumb decisions. The Chargers have more than enough talent and don’t play up to their potential.

This really JC Horn's burner Twitter account though?

There’s a lot of people in here who don’t think their poo stinks. All they do is complain about other people’s posts. It’s as annoying as some of the goofy posts. -

Jaycee Horn expected to miss multiple weeks
WhoKnows replied to jamos14's topic in Carolina Panthers
Just an FYI, but there is no difference anymore. Every player can return after 4 weeks. You used to have to designate but that’s no longer the case. If someone is healthy, a team can take them off IR after 4 weeks. The only season long IR is for people hurt and put on IR before the season starts. Doesn’t mean people after week 1 won’t stay on the list all season, just that after week 1 any player is eligible for return after 4 weeks. -

Shi Smith was considered better by us too until he had some dropsies. He won the starting WR3 over TMJ because in preseason TMJ couldn’t separate. I remember TMJ being stared down by Sam and he was covered and fell down. Sam then found Shi for a nice TD. I never liked the TMJ pick over the solid OL available like Humphrey. We needed a C, not a 3rd WR.
-
Exactly, this is why people in here always complain that the Saints sign guys and we can’t. They put their big money into stars. We spend $55M on Teddy and Sam.

SMH. I hate to be right but damn we are going to test our depth or lack thereof this year. -
No idea if the Jets could work I but I hate the NO example. They paid their stars. We paid more for Teddy, Sam and Baker than they did for Brees. NO wasn’t magical, they just didn’t throw money away like us. We’ve used up our cap the past 3 years and we’ve signed no one great.
