Why because Young’s hand offs are bad? Miles Sanders and Brooks have more to do with Chubba’s second contract. Chubba’s the same mediocre but hard working RB that played 2 years before Young. Aside from one game against Detroit where they admitted to playing 5 DBs the whole game, he’s basically the same RB for his 3+ years. Young has no impact on Chubba’s second contract. The fact that we signed Miles to start and drafted Brooks this year shows more about Chubba. He doesn’t lay down, but he’s gotten way more opportunities to start with Carolina than he would have anywhere else.

We were 2-15, morale isn’t an issue. Also, Canales is fine but do we really care about saving Morgan’s job? If the rookies don’t pan out, I wouldn’t care. Maybe some of the eternal optimists thought we might get to .500, but this team isn’t a .500 team even with Dalton. Dalton hasn’t had a winning record since 2015, 2015. He’s 33-52-1 since 2015 and that’s with better teams. FAs will come with $$$s, but we need multiple successful drafts giving us multiple above average starters before FAs matter. We have the least talented roster in the league. We even have the least talented roster minus the QB position. We’ve got a long way to go.

No, we know. We just have to face it that our team is booty. QB is need #1 but DJ Moore has had a flurry of bad QBs and still made something out of them. When a 34 year old Thielen looks way better than recent 2nd round picks, that’s a talent issue. Thielen got over 1000 yards with Young so Mingo and TMJ’s excuses don’t hold water. Leggette just hasn’t played enough but honestly he looked better today than I recall Mingo/TMJ so far so he’s got a chance. It’s likely to be with another QB.

Again, who would fall under this umbrella? Vets have track records and the OL guys have gotten big deals. Did Thomas or Tremble show out with any other QBs we had? TMJ had other QBs, did he look good? Moore, CMC, JJ, Evans and Godwin played with lots of QBs including our Bradford and Mayfield who you guys would have said the same thing about and the top guys show out regardless. Young sucks, but he’s not costing people money when we are throwing it around to get people around him. Our offensive players lack of talent is costing them.

Our drafting, trading and FA decisions since Fitterer came to town have been the worst in the league. It’s not even close. It’s why we have so little talent that it’s scary. Making a correct call on the next QB is the top priority. Nothing else is close. After that, we just need to have 2-3 good to great drafts. We need to draft above average starters, heck a couple studs like Luke and Cam wouldn’t hurt.

Which offensive player is Young costing money? Hunt, Corbett, Lewis and Moton all got stacks from us. Which talented offensive player is Young costing? Just name one guy who would have gotten a bag if Young’s play wasn’t hiding his talent? Johnson and Thielen will get paid based on their body of work. Who else? Mingo and Tremble getting dragged down? TMJ going to the pro bowl?

Who’s getting cost money? Young is awful, said that last year but acting like there is hidden talent that might be balling out elsewhere is laughable. Call me out when TMJ gets his 2nd contract after showing out. TBH, there are a ton of guys on this roster who wouldn’t even be playing if it weren’t for us trading Burns, CMC, Moore and a few draft picks for Young. He's made guys like Sanders money because we dumped all our good guys and didn’t pick up starters from the 1sts and 2nds we wasted.

SMH. There’s no proof that Tepper made the call. Fitterer is on record saying he had Young as his top QB the year before we picked him. Fitterer and Reich were on record that they were in lock step on the choice and had Young before their deep dive and after. Thomas Brown was the guy who talked about the point guard theory 2 months before Tepper repeated it. Tepper may have liked him the best as well, but Tepper as the boogeyman seems silly. Why would he keep Morgan who was in lock step with Fitterer if Tepper had to override him and others?

We need Bryce to get the #1 pick. I don’t think we have anyone else that’s worth trading unless we get a crazy offer. We just need to get a QB. This season is washed out already. We could never make the playoffs and this QB is so freaking bad.

So true. They are playing exactly as I expected they would. I don’t like being negative but all the we might be .500/sneak into the playoff guys were naive. We are in hell until we get a QB. Our QB sucks donkey balls even when he doesn’t have pressure and can get out of the pocket.

Yep. A bunch of us said we’d much rather have had Darnold plus Moore, CMC (we used the 2nd we got for him to move up) and all the picks. We were 100% correct.

The announcer said that NO didn’t blitz much last year but they must have seen something. Young doesn’t see the field and hasn’t noticed twice #1 blitzing from the corner. He has zero clue that he needs to go to the WR the CB leaves and he just sits there and gets sacked easily.

Heck, Carr was under duress when he threw the bomb to Shaheed. Young is just not NFL quality which is sad considering what we have up.

We know. For some reason people want to hang on to a chance. It hurt when Howi Long was talking about Caleb Williams and just casually drops in how the Bears fleeced the Panthers to get Williams. FU Scott Fitterer you piece of poo that set this franchise back a decade because you are the worst GM in NFL history.

Not sure if anyone saw but Corbett was knocked on his ass on the interception. He looks like a heckuva center so far. It’s like the hits just keep on hitting. At least we have one good CB in Jackson lol.

So I guess Horn isn’t the best CB in the league and just injured a lot. His not trying to tackle the WR was noticeable.

Well, his QB this year has some serious talent so their offense should be much better. That QB last year was a turnover waiting to happen, so bad and they lost some close games due to that. I will say that the black Nebraska shirt is very slimming on him lol.

That’s how you measure our offense. TMJ is camp MVP and we barely score on our way to 2-15. Thomas is camp MVP gets us how many wins?

I never understood his prowess blocking because all I recall is videos of him whiffing on blocks. I don’t ever recall watching a game or a post in here where he had an amazing block.

Not really. Since Lawrence, their D has been the only bright spot. In the last 5 drafts, they’ve had 5 CBs/Ss draft. 2 1sts, 1 2nd, 1 3rd and 1 4th. DL has been much deeper draft wise but they’ve still have good talent on D.

And still false starting enough to lead the league in penalties. He had a couple more on Thursday.

Another great move by our last GM. Extension of 3 years for $17M. Something about his blocking when all of us fans saw his softness out there. SMH.

24-3 but who’s counting. Ewers looking solid. He might emerge this year as a top pick in the draft if he continues to look good.
