Part of me says yes absolutely, and the other part of me is saying No Thanks!! The writing is on the wall for Matt Rhule, it was before he even stepped foot inside BoA Stadium. The last thing I'd want is for us to sign Cam and he have a stellar season that gets us to the playoffs and then we retain Rhule for several more years. Or Cam comes here and the team falls flat, again. I'm not sure either scenario would be good for the team until Matt Rhule is no longer coaching it

Our offseason started about 10 weeks ago

This. For me it's already been about 2.5 seasons since I cared. I've watched maybe 50% of the games since then with absolutely no emotion just because I was bored at work with nothing else to do on a Sunday. I miss the days of caring and getting excited over a Panthers game. I legit thought I was going to have a heart attack during the 2015 NFCCG I was so fuging pumped. My grandma passed away of cancer at 56 years young on the same exact day we drafted Cam. He was never able to replace her in my life but he was a lone bright spot for many years to come. I only wish he had a legit starting opportunity after the 2019 year when he got hurt. The last two chances he got have been Hail Mary attempts from the opposite end zone. Hopefully he gets one more shot w/ a full offseason under his belt.

Where is that same mentality regarding Cam then? Cam hasn't been afforded an oppourtunity to learn the playbook let a lone his teammates before being asked to carry a team by himself to the playoffs. Not only here but in NE as well. If Cam had an actual offseason he would be hands down better than Darnold. He had a week to learn the playbook here and only 5 weeks when he played in NE.
