  1. I think Bryce would have benefitted from sitting out a few more weeks after the Bears or Colts game. Almost wish he twisted an ankle or something. If the improvement was going to come this year it would have already happened. No point in continuing to throw him to the wolves with this lame duck coaching staff and we'd get an honest evaluation of our offense. Is it really all Bryce? I personally don't think so but maybe it is. Maybe Dalton comes in and gets a few more wins but I don't see it being some sort of drastic turn around either way. But yea we either get a HC that knows how to run an offense with Bryce at QB or we pick another one in '25 that's really it at this point.
  2. Our rookie #1 pick QB has sucked this year but the team also sucked at surrounding him with proper players + coaching. Both are pretty much true I don't really know how you can argue against the latter.
  3. If Young truly is a bust then he will bust out of the league its as simple as that. There is nothing to hide behind lol. He's going to get a second year to prove his worth regardless of what your opinion is of him or mine. I just choose to believe that with a coaching staff that has a better sense of direction, and a front office that isn't constantly shooting itself in the foot Young and the rest of the roster will be put in a better position to succeed versus the alternative which is what 99% of the huddle believes. And that's fine, had we retained Reich I'd probably be a little less optimistic but optimistic none the less.
  4. Nah. If Bryce does turn it around it will be because of the new HC hire and those around him making him look better than what he truly is, calling it now. At least that's what the fine folks of the Carolina Huddle will say anyway
  5. How long did it take for our running game to show its face? 11, 12 weeks into the season? You think that's success? Haha okay
  6. Oh but your "realistic" plan is to give up on a #1 overall pick after 1 season in which the entire team is bad. This is not an offense that is "one QB away" from consistently winning football games and if that's what you believe then you are further down than whatever rock bottom is
  7. But seriously though this horrid season might be a blessing in disguise. Did we really want another Cam Newton/Ron Rivera situation? Where the #1 pick QB is constantly overcoming the horrendous coaching decisions being made thus keeping him employed for longer than he should have been? Frank was clearly not going to be the answer here. And hopefully Fitterer is fired for the mess he created as well. If this season accomplishes that at a minimum our future is already brighter. If Bryce can't improve with hopefully a better HC hire (can it really be worse than the last 2?) next season the new coach will probably bench him and we will be in prime position to draft the top QB in '25. That's honestly how I'm looking at this entire situation. Bryce deserves a chance with hopefully a better coach and team around him then after that we'll see what happens.
  8. Either hope he gets better with a better HC hire next year or go root for another team or not watch football at all. What other option is there other than cheering against your favorite team? Who honestly roots for their team to fail? Seems like a pointless concept does it not?
  9. Aren't stats amazing? You know what else this chart shows? How the NYG play around their rookie QB. Look at how many times he throws the ball a game vs Bryce. That's how you play a rookie QB in a struggling offense. You help him by not making him do everything on his own. That guys pass attempts equal what Bryces are by half time most games. He throws the ball 25 times and even less and the Giants are still able to put up points (some games). They got a win in a game they scored only 10 points in lmao.
  10. That undrafted QB everyone keeps talking about was sacked 0 times. How many times has Young been afforded that opportunity? You keep looking at those stat sheets though champ it's bound to get you somewhere eventually!
  11. I just choose to use logic to form my football opinions not my emotions like most fans here do. You people look at everything as black and white and act like a young kid can't improve if the circumstances around him improve. The team and coaching staff we hired failed our rookie QB not the other way around. They made too many miscalculations already way before they even made the decision who to take #1 overall. There wasnt a clear vision for the team. There were too many different philosophies and they couldnt get them to mesh. The whole play calling fiasco. McCown was a first time QB coach. It was all a mess. But no one wants to acknowledge that. They only want to focus on one person. The QB. Sure the QB is supposed to help elevate the play of his teammates to an extent but when the coaching staff and scheme that your in is directionless and in shambles it's hard to flourish. You want your rookie QB to come in and play like he's a vet that's been in the league for 5+ years that's asking a lot when everything around him is breaking down constantly. There is no consistency and then when there is finally a play to make and he doesn't make it we jump down his throat about it. What about the previous 5 plays where there was an olineman that didn't put a single hand on the guy right in front of him leading to a sack/fumble? Or back to back drops by the WR? No we focus on the deep ball he overthrew to slow ass Johnathan Mingo. It just doesn't make sense to me. But that's fine you guys continue to focus on Bryce and once/if we hire a good HC, big IF and Young starts to look like a solid pick I'll be here awaiting you guys with open arms back on the bandwagon. See you there!!
  12. Chances are it probably won't happen but it might if we strike gold on the next HC hire. Hopefully GM as well I really don't see how anyone including Tepper keeps Fitt around after what happened this year.
  13. He might. But until we see him on a proper team with a proper coaching staff and scheme I'll reserve my judgements because I truly believe any pocket style QB would be awful on this team too. Maybe they look a little better with a little better stats but it would still be bad. The decision making from start to finish was all wrong last year. From the trades, over estimation of talent, the coaching staff that was put together, the players who were traded, not traded, and the players drafted. Just a complete and utter failure from start to finish. Bryce will need better than that if he's going to succeed here, like any quarterback.
  14. Ickey still getting beat like a drum on pass plays. Surprised he isn't in the bottom 5 he whiffs on so many blocks its really alarming. He has 1 or 2 plays a game where he doesnt even get a hand on the player. And wow Huddle Game day favorite Mingo in the bottom 5 yet I'm not seeing Young who, from a stats perspective, had his worst game as a professional and received all of the Huddles blame for the offense on Sunday. There were a lot of drops and our WRs are so slow compared to watching other WRs in the NFL. I'm not sure if any of you watch teams outside of the Panthers, I'm not sure how you wouldn't be by now with yet another poo season on our hands, but it's pretty obvious to me. We lack speed and guys that can make plays after the catch. We have to find 1-2 players with that ability by next year. And we have got to figure out the oline issues at LT and LG. We've had some solid performances at the RG spot this year but LT and mostly LG have been a disaster all year long. Good to see Mayes have a solid performance at LG hopefully he can keep building on that but we definitely need at minimum 2 or 3 new starters by next season.
  15. We've had double digit losses every single year. 5-11 5-11 5-12 7-10 1-12. We are at our average losses for the year already. How is it skewing the stats exactly by being 1-12?
  16. He got drafted to and plays for the worst organization in the NFL. The Carolina Panthers have the worst win % out of ALL professional sports teams since 2019. Yes that includes the NBA MLB etc. Dead last. It's going to take more than drafting a QB #1 overall into a talent deficient offense with a lame duck coaching staff to turn this around. Go ahead and blame it all on Bryce though. Whatever helps you all cope with the fact that you are fans of the worst organization in ALL of professional sports
  17. Oh Steve 100000000% catches the one he "missed" to Mingo before half. Mingo is one of the slowest rookie WRs I've seen in some time. You guys like to say Bryce Young doesn't have an NFL arm well Johnathan Mingo also does not have NFL WR game speed.
  18. Except he'd probably look 10 times better if he were the QB of any other team other than the Carolina Panthers. This fanbase has such terrible football IQ. We're going to be terrible for awhile at least I get to continue to laugh at the people who think they know what they're talking about on this forum. Haha.
  19. Another drop and 0 separation by a WR. And you still got clueless morons pinning it on Bryce lol this why this fanbase deserves to be 1-11
  20. That's because the people that actually know football understand that Bridgewater was not under the type of duress that Young is. He also had CMC and DJ Moore. How casual couch potatoes can't understand that I have no idea
  21. Fans on this forum actually cheered when Tepper/Hurney released Cam Newton. They thought we were about to turn the page and have a nice shiny pristine looking offense based off of "analytics" led by the indomitable duo of Matt Rhule and Joe Brady. How'd that turn out?
  22. No doubt it hasn't been pretty but there seems to have been dysfunction in the coaching staff from the get go. Why would they all sign off on not working on foot work/technique in the offseason? That was Reichs decision? Then what was McCowns role? Currently Bryce doesn't have a QB coach lol its all just really really weird and I definitely blame Tepper for putting that sort of environment together there were just too many coaches with too many different philosophies. On paper it looked great but in reality no one was on the same page it seems. Young needs a legit chance to start over this offseason. He took his lumps this year and unfortunately looks to be developing bad habits and it's getting worse as the season rolls on. I do wonder how much it could have benefited him to sit for a few weeks after the Bears blunder. We'll never know. Just have to hope he can get some proper coaching and improve next year. I don't expect him to have textbook technique because he's below average when it comes to size so it will look a little different than it would with someone who has prototypical size for the position but he has to speed up whatever he's doing I will say the casual slow drop back does throw the timing of the offense off by a good bit. Gotta get that fixed forsure.
  23. I agree but I'd have to say Luvu has developed from a relatively unknown player into a pretty good one. Idk if I'd credit the org/coaching staff for him developing vs him just coming into his own and being a good player. This is why I also have trouble putting all of our offensive struggles on Young. He does deserve some blame and he very well could be one of the bigger busts of this decade but for me it's too soon to put all of that on him because look at this dumpster fire that drafted him. He didn't go to the Chiefs with Andy Reid, Eagles with Sirriani, 49ers with Shanahan, Dolphins with Mike McDaniel etc etc. Hopefully it gets better and Tepper strikes gold with his next hire but I doubt it. That really is our only hope back to relevancy because unfortunately the Teppers aren't going anywhere
  24. Just because the defense has been playing well doesn't mean Burns has been playing good or living up to everything we turned down for him. You guys want to harp on everything we gave up for Young because he's not flourishing in a severely flawed offense that has no foundational pieces to build on. Yet Burns is in the perfect system on a good enough defense with good enough players around him and not living up to everything we turned down for him, and some how that's okay and he gets a free pass. That makes absolutely no sense.
  25. Lol. Man. I can't with you. Your thinking is so ass backwards it's insane. Bryce Young is in an impossible situation as a rookie QB. I'm sorry that's so hard for you to see. Show me another rookie QB with a worse Oline and WRs than Bryce has had to work with all year. Show me. His OC has never called plays in the NFL before. The scheme is unimaginative, and rarely has play designs that help our league worst WR core get open. The Oline allows the most pressure up the middle in the NFL. The owner is calling plays lol its a fuging circus and an Impossible situation. Meanwhile Brian Burns is surrounded by one of the best DTs in the NFL as his running mate and is now playing in a scheme that should MAXIMIZE his skill set. Even with all of the injuries in the secondary they have been more than serviceable. Brian Burns is the one with no excuse for lack of production. Not Bryce fuging Young.
