No doubt

I mean imagine if Young had that dudes coaching and supporting cast. Would be a whole lot less crying and complaining around here that's forsure
-
Whatever you say, Chuck.

Unfortunately there are a lot of mrcompletely11s running around on this board currently. If this team ever starts to win again they will slowly begin to disappear and instead of reading the annoying drivel in every thread it will fade like a soft whisper. Just gotta give it time.

Did Trevor Lawrence show an ability to elevate his team when he went 3-14 his rookie year with 12 tds to 17 ints? How isn't it possible for a rookie to get better when he is CLEARLY in a bad situation with a lack of talent and the team perpetually under performing? The defense gave up 42 points in back to back weeks. Last week they had the excuse of 2 costly INTs and a terrible fumble. This week Bryce had 0 Turnovers. Still had to score over over 40 to win. How is that realistic expectations at this point in his career? They aren't.

I've gotten plenty of hints that you are still the least knowledgeable person and worst poster on this message board, is that what you mean?
-
There was a time when Matt Rhule was coach and all I did was voice my displeasure with how he was running things and how bad of a coach he was and because I didn't have my Panthers blinders on I was banned from posting in the main forum. Fast forward to 2023 when all I've done is voice support for our young struggling QB and now that is being frowned upon and threatened with another possible banning. This place is hilarious and another reason why I believe this cursed franchise/fan base is getting exactly what they deserve.
-
So you don't believe that a team needs to surround their franchise QB with talent and that they should be able to put up good stats and win games no matter how good the collection of talent is around them? That is what you believe?
-
Sure but can you at least answer the question I posed to you though? Which team's QB has less to work with than Bryce currently does?
-
It's not that pieces need to be perfect for Bryce to succeed. They just need to not be the worst in the NFL. Look around the league and as a collective who has a worse running game oline and WR group as we do? We don't have a Cam Newton ready to throw to a bunch of JAGs his entire career. We have a QB who is much better in the short to mid game and he needs the weapons to mirror that. Why is it such an asinine thought that Bryce's downfield passing game will get better as the pieces around him get better?
-
Ok but at the end of the day what's that have to do with Bryce? Was it Bryce Young saying those things? That's what I'm getting at. Fans want to take it out on Bryce and hold that against him when none of that garbage was his fault. The anger is misplaced when it comes to where he's at in his development. It sucks to have to have patience because all we've done is lose the last 5 years with nothing to look forward too. It's definitely worrisome that we are 0-5 probably 0-6 going into the bye, but that speaks more to the coaching staff than it does to our undersized rookie QB. There are plenty of examples of young QBs struggling early, even former #1 overall picks. There are examples of young QBs balling out early even former #1 overall picks. No two situations are the same and unfortunately this offense just isn't the best to drop a rookie #1 pick into it and expect instant success. Oline has struggled, no running game, and historically slow WRs not getting much separation. Doesn't sound like we are setting him up for success.
-
But that's the whole point. Aren't guys built like Cam Newton suppose to show out early because of their athleticism and more favorable measurables? Bryce doesn't have that to rely on he has everything working against him when it comes to his "physical limitations" so why would we expect him to come into the NFL and set the world on fire right away? Especially with this supporting cast. Just because he isn't dominating doesn't mean he doesn't have any traits, or an NFL arm, or isn't as smart as advertised. He just needs time. He needs exactly what he's getting now. Real NFL action against real NFL defenses. Being smart and a more cerebral person doesn't always mean you are out smarting and out playing people from day 1. It means he has the ability to learn and adapt to his environment and once it finally starts to click for him it will begin to translate onto the field. I truly believe Bryce just needs some time and more experience and he will be just fine.

Have you ever read a gameday thread? It's definitely more than 2%.

Making up a route on the fly in the huddle? Through the first 5 weeks? Yes mrcompletely11 I do
-
That's true he did but he did it one time out of how many snaps in 5 games? That's great he was able to do that and execute it for a TD but lets not act like this is what he's been doing since the first game and every snap thereafter. It was one play.
-
If we landed Lawrence this fan base would have poo all over him for his rookie year. He went 3-14 had 12 tds and 17 ints with virtually the same weapons Bryce has now. He also started 0-5 with his 1st win coming in week 6 against who? IF you guessed the Dolphins you'd be correct! Maybe it's a sign that a major upset is on the horizon

McDaniel: Bryce is a baller with a bright future
Mr Mojo Risin replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
You called this pass at 1:57 a wounded duck floater? I hope you're joking even though I know you're not. You continue to prove you actually dont know poo about football and one of the worst posters on this entire message board if that was the pass you referenced as a wounded duck floater. It was a spiral that would have hit Thielen in the face 20 yards downfield. Lol. -
It's Stroud and it shouldn't even be close

Congrats on being the best rookie QB 5 games into the season....? Was that the competition? 5 games? Lol -
Could Both Fitterer and Reich Be Safer Than We Think?
Mr Mojo Risin replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
So far nothing really of note. It all looks bad and it's being magnified by the losses piling up. Jury is still out on a lot of the picks though we won't really know the damage until another year or two -

Totally agree. I'm all for giving a new regime time to get their legs under them. Even if that costs us some games, but eventually you hope to see improvement and every game there is something incredibly odd/wrong that happens, like stuff youd see under Matt Rhule and his inexperiencedcollege staff. We don't have a fluid operation. It could also be that we have too many chefs in the kitchen. Reich has always preached about this being a collaborative effort. We brought in all of these "smart and experienced" coaches but nothing seems organized. Idk hopefully they figure it out soon. Maybe this is the week they are able to put it all together and we have the upset of the year vs the Dolphins. Probably not, but I can at least dream of it happening And tbh...the thing with Fitt is that he gambles big. And if those moves pay off you come out looking like the cats pajamas, but the other side of that is you also end up looking like a fool if it blows up in your face and unfortunately nothing but the latter has happened so far on almost every move he's made. Jury is still out on a lot of them though. 12 games left. Hopefully we see some improvement -
The only drive you can see them playing prevent was the final drive in the 4th. The one before that they were in the same defense. Still playing press man and blitzing and Bryce led us down the field for a TD.
-
This. But I still appreciate the effort. However, I enjoy listening to the arm chair GM hot takes they think they know everything it's quite hilarious
-
There is no shame in taking a step back or a break for awhile. Step away and come back if this team ever starts to win again. Winning cures all. I hope you and the misses get to go the cowboys game and I wish you both many more years of health and happiness. Good luck.

Calling it - the Bryce Young trade is the worst in team history
Mr Mojo Risin replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
So the QBs that have those measurables and still struggle their first year. What's the excuse then? -
