I hope so too, but I'm worried the decision to start him tonight hurt his confidence. Tonight was a coaching blunder.
-
I mean it was his decision not to rest Raanta that resulted in 3 goals.
-
That was a fuging follow through just like what happened when Jarvis decided to block a shot with his face.
-
That is double minor but the one on Jarvis was nothing
-
Same for the Boston series.
-
My fingers are so cold.
-
How can Igor think he could even argue that? lol
-
hahahah Igor thought he could get away with bulldozing Jarvis. Eat poo!
-
WTF is our defense doing?
-
I feel like Rod has told the guys to stop passing so much when they are in front of Igor.

The 3 goals tonight have been, however there are a few reasons Pytor should've started to begin with. 1. Our road play has been atrocious and we've given no reason that will change any time soon. 2. If we're going to lose anyway, might as well put Pytor in and give Raanta the extra rest. 3. Raanta is a backup to begin with and shouldn't be relied on to start every single game in the playoffs. If an opportunity is there to rest him, you take it. 4. Starting a tired Raanta could potentially hurt his confidence should he eventually have a terrible game which he has. We can only hope we keep up great home play.

Smith might need to be benched too
-
Those passes have been pissing me off lol

We haven't won a road game. Pyotr should've started to begin with if we're going to lose anyway and rest up Raanta. He's not a starter than can play every single game in the playoffs. He's going to need the rest.

Skeji you fuging moose knuckle
-
shoot the mother fuging puck! keep shooting it even on rebounds! stop all the fuging passing! fug!
-
Maybe? But if we are gonna lose anyway, might as well give the best goalie more rest.
-
I think Tampa would destroy either of these teams.
-
With that said, surprised Raanta ended up starting. Thought the rookie would be given a chance and give Raanta a longer rest for Game 7.
-
And none of the other away games have been his fault.
-
Yep, not staying out of the box, defense barely can keep up with them 5 on 5. 4 v 5 is almost impossible for us.
-
You guys trashing Raanta makes no sense to me. He's been fine and not even close to as bad as you guys make him out to be. It's hard to pin everything on him when the whole team has been ass on the road. Especially doesn't help we can't stay out of the box or convert on our chances.
-
Raanta is watching the puck too much. Could've poked it out of there instead of allowing the shot.

Now that one was on Raanta
