But Fox was here for 3 more seasons after that injury/surgery. Delhomme was the definition of game manager. Everyone wants to assume game manager is a bad thing. Its not always the case. He was neutral. Always up and down, up and down. Just about always ranked around the middle of the pack amongst QBs. He was just mediocre. Just heave it up in the air and let Smitty jump up and fight for it. Or let 6`2 Moose do the same in a contract year. He would also terribly overthrow receivers 10 feet above their head. You could tell from the start of games what type of Jake you were going to get. The surgery was just going to make this worse. There should have been another plan. Fox had 3 offseasons to come up with one. However, he wanted this kind of offense. Old school run the ball, dont let your QB make mistakes or you will fail, type of offense.

I think we need to look at picking up Swayman from Boston.

I liked Capers best. His defenses were beastly and he cared about the Oline. Also cared about team improvement. Fox next, he lacked many things such as team adjustments, roster decisions, sticking with the same plan over and over. However, at least he gave a damn about the oline. Rivera I would put 3rd. He is just like Fox except, he gave not 1 fug about offensive line and protecting the best QB in franchise history. fug him.

Dont have time to wait for Kooch to get his confidence back. Send him back down to Chicago.

All that has been said in this thread is why Wilks shouldnt be the choice. Im tired of hearing all over 99.9 that Wilks should get it and has proved he should be it. NO HE HAS NOT! He had his fuging chance 2 weeks ago and blew it! He was a part of why we lost. Im so sick of it. We beat bad teams, but then lost to Mitch Trubisky. He hasnt shown jack poo. Another Rivera 2.0 that makes his defense go soft with a lead, hardly any halftime adjustments, too conservative on offense (punting at midfield with playoff hopes on the line), he is no way shape or form the answer to our problems.

Dumb thread. Also, 5 out of the 8 in the NFC also are not on their original team. All 7 QBs in the AFC were drafted by their team and all first round QBs.

Road to coach the Metro at the All Star Game
KillerKat replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Metro powerplay just went 0/5 -
At some point Tepper needs to step in on these types of situations when we are out of playoff contention and tell the coaches to stop playing starters. Or maybe the players association should step in and something needs to be made that if teams are out of the playoffs, regular starters can only play a certain about of minutes? Idk, if we are all about player safety this situation should be on the table.

Looks better than anything Whalers

yeah the way we lost blew it for him. You cant be a defensive minded coach and have your defense play like that. You also cant be a reason why your team losses in the most important game of your coaching career. His decision making, especially punting twice at midfield, sunk his chances. At least it should have.

Anyone else see the refs spot the ball backwards on the last play?

Walker should be suspended for next game whether playoffs or next season

Lions arent beating the refs tonight.

If the packers were instead the panthers and challenged that catch, it wouldve still been ruled complete. fug refs.

Lose when it matters, win when it doesn’t

We need to get rid of the Rivera mindset -
Are you watching the Panthers tomorrow

chilling with coffee watching twitch and about to game. A chilled day for me. -
Rod is going to have to improve other areas of the team instead of sticking with 5 v 5 skills if he wants to win a cup. Im tired of seeing the same mistakes over and over.
-
A good one will as long as you stay out of the penalty box and convert on powerplays which we have continued trouble with anyway

probably not. There is no point. -
Im tired of hearing people say Wilks has proven he can be the head coach. No he has not. This past Sunday was his opportunity and he blew it. With playoff implications on the line, he became part of the reason why we lost. That is not what you want in a head coach especially in such an important game. Only thing he has shown is we have a chance to beat lesser teams, but thats not even a given as we saw Mitch Trubisky kick our ass. Wilks is not the answer. Move on.
