A Statistical Analysis of Signing Carr vs. Trading for L. Jackson
CamWhoaaCam replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. If you think Carr is better than Lamar than that's your opinion. I can only speak for myself and it's laughable to even compare the two. I would love to see what Lamar could do with those weapons Carr had though... -
Well damn! He's right though. Carr is just a slight upgrade from Darnold. No need to waste big money on a QB who isn't going to take us far.

Poll: What do you want Panthers to do for QB?
CamWhoaaCam replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lamar Jackson shouldn't even be on this list. Lamar talk is just talk on this sub. Ravens have not put him on the trade block as of yet. I think they cave in and offer him more guaranteed money at the end of the day. Aaron Rodgers is more likely to happen if we trade for a QB. Not sure if Rodgers would mind coming here but he would be the dream scenario if we can't get a QB in the draft. -

Even with lesser weapons Lamar can carry a offense better than Carr ever has. It's not really even a debate who is the better QB. The debate is are you willing to pay the price to get Lamar Jackson. I personally think he's worth it with this current roster. We have more talent than Baltimore on both sides of the ball. We are instant contenders the moment we trade for Lamar. -

Please stop mentioning Derek Carr in the same sentence as Lamar Jackson. If you asking who do I want give me the MVP candidate every time who is only 26. I don't care about picks we need a franchise QB that is how you win in this league. Carr isn't just had a loaded offense and Vegas and he took them nowhere. No thanks im tired of the castoff QB's every year. Lamar>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Carr -
I swear people sleep on Fields. Once he gets a Oline and some weapons he's going to be scary.

Who are the Bears taking #1?

I saw a picture of Stroud standing next to Bryce on IG and he literally looks like Bryce big brother.lol

Charlotte just needs to get a top 3 pick. This kid from Alabama Brandon Miller looks like a young Paul George. Wemby/Scoot/Miller are franchise changers. Get 1 of those guys with Lamelo and the future is bright.

This is the only way. For once go be agressive and draft your franchise QB and develop them. We need some stability at the position. We can't keep changing QB's every offseason.
-
Nobody mentioned winning the SB. My point of this post is to draft our franchise guy and develop him. Why do we keep taking on other teams QB's expecting them to make us a better team. That's not how you build stability within the franchise. We been playing musical chairs with QB's for 3 years. Don't you think it's time to go draft a QB and develop them?
-
Do you truly think Carr is a franchise QB? Stafford situation is different because he went to the best roster in football. Rams were getting called a super team by some people. Carr to me needs to be on a loaded roster to truly contend. Which is why I said the 49ers makes the most sense for him. He's not taking our roster anywhere imo.

Carr is 32 bro. A top 12 QB should be making the playoffs more than 1 time in his entire 9 year career. You talking about needing a coaching staff for him to thrive at his age. Cmon bro he is what he is. Stafford the only QB who went to another team and thrived and that's because the team he went to was a superteam. We can't offer Carr that. Carr needs to go to the 49ers if we being honest. That could give him a chance to win a SB.
-
We don't need a QB that's just better than Mayfield, Darnold, Bridgewater. We need a QB that's a franchise QB. Carr is not a franchise QB. So if you sign Carr you better be prepared to stick with him for the next 4 years because we wont be in position to draft the top QB's and we won't be competing for SB's either. There is no in between with Carr. If we want mediocrity just sign Carr and be done with it. If we want a franchise QB then trade up and get him.
-
If you're not willing to trade up for a QB then you simply wont get your QB. Sign Carr we will just enough games to not be able to get WIlliams/Maye next year. So when we want our franchise QB we will have to wait until Tepper is stingy enough to trade for one. You can't expect a franchise QB and not give up assets to get him.
-
Unfortunately this will be the case every year because you are going to be in the same postion next year because the bridge QB won you just enough games to not get the top QB's in the draft. At some point you have to bite the bullet and trade up for your guy. If not we will be signing bridge QB's every year.

Everybody knows that's about money. They already offered him a deal. He just wants more money. Im talking about the non franchise QB's who get cut or traded by their teams. We just tried that with Mayfield and we about to repeat the same mistake with Carr. These guys are getting cut and let go for a reason.
