CJ Stroud's tape is a Pleaseant Surprise

Yes.lol You got fired for a reason. Be great at your job and you will keep it. You Carr stans trying to make him out to be elite. In reality he is a middle of the pack QB. It's why he's now looking for another team. Yeah he is a upgrade over Darnold, Mayfield, Bridgewater... but he's also just like them not a franchise QB. His record speaks for itself. Im sorry but he hasn't won a single playoff game in his entire 9 year career. Elite he is not.

Arm strength is overrated. Tom Brady is the GOAT QB and he really didn't have elite arm power. -

So damn good he's now a FA! Mid QB is what Carr is. Those QB's get you nowhere in the NFL. What we need is a franchise QB. This team will continue to fail if we don't get the right QB to lead us. Carr has 1 playoff appearance his entire career and now he's a 32 year old QB that's seen his best days. I wish him well but please don't come to Carolina.

Proven commodity who got cut.lol

Neither do you big guy. As of right now we don't seem to be on the Carr train. So it is what it is.

QB options sorted in preference tiers
CamWhoaaCam replied to JawnyBlaze's topic in Carolina Panthers
They suck at drafting lol Packers were never really loaded on offense or defense during the Rodgers era. -
If we liked Carr we would be setting up a meeting ASAP! You don't wait if you truly want that QB. Tepper probably wants to develop a QB for a change. We can't keep taking castoff QB's and expecting them to be a franchise QB. I know some of you think Carr is legit but there is a reason why the Raiders got rid of him. He's not someone you can win a SB with.

QB options sorted in preference tiers

Elite QB's are going to be making 40+ mil. If the goal is to get a franchise QB you absolutely do it especially if we have a roster that can compete with said QB. Either way we have to trade assets if we want Stroud/Young or Lamar/Rodgers. Rodgers make 50mil a year. This is nothing new franchise QB's get paid. -

This! My goodness what is with people and waiting next year for a QB. We won't be in position for the top QB's next year either. If you want your QB you have to trade to get them. -
Price to move into top 3 based on past trades.

Let me guess sign Carr for 30mil and continue the bridge QB trend we have been doing the past 3 years. We do this every year. How about trying something new? -

Im legit convinced people just don't like Lamar Jackson. A 26 year old QB MVP candidate in the prime of his career and people suggesting Sam Darnold and Derek Carr is a better option than going after Lamar Jackson. -
People love taking on other teams QB's thinking they will make a difference for us.smh I see everybody claiming Carr is elite, but nobody can tell me why the Raiders cut bait with such an elite QB...

Would be nice but there are simply too many teams ahead of us that need a QB. In order for that to seem more realistic one of those teams ahead of us need to trade for Lamar Jackson. Even then Stroud is most likely the 2nd QB taken off the board. -
Poll: What do you want Panthers to do for QB?
CamWhoaaCam replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why is nobody suggesting Aaron Rodgers? Im like the only person who has discussed the idea. A 2 year run with Rodgers would be worth it. Would be like the Brady/Bucs run. We have enough pieces to win the NFC with Rodgers. Maybe get him a TE in FA and we are set. -

Give me Lamar Jackson over Carr anyday and twice on Sundays. It's 3 options for me. 1. Trade up for Stroud/Young 2. Stay at #9 and hope Levis/Richardson fall in our lap 3. Go after Lamar or Rodgers Bridge QB's is not something I want again. Carr is just a slight upgrade over Darnold. No thanks but we can't become a middle of the pack team for the next 3 years. -
This a pretty long thread for a guy who hasn't even shown interest in us.lol
-
I never get the "wait till next year" to get a QB approach. This roster is not bad enough to get the top QB's next year either. So we will be in the same position next year. At some point you have to just bite the bullet and trade up for your QB. Waiting is not a guarantee either.

Would you trade 9 for Fields - straight up?
CamWhoaaCam replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bears have a new GM who didn't draft him. It's why im not ruling out them trading Fields. The new GM could fall in love with 1 of those top QB's in the draft. -
The goofiest cornball coach in the NFL?

CamWhoaaCam replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I feel the same. Teams ahead of us particularly Atlanta would certainly be interested in Fields. While I personally like Fields I don't think Carolina would be interested as he is not the type of QB Frank has coached during his career.
