What if we offer them 3 1st?

Due diligence is good news. I think the goal is to get one of the top 4 QB's. I will be shocked if we don't trade up some spots. It's unlikely all 4 QB's will be there if we stay put at #9.

How is it there will never be another Cam but there will be another Brady? That never made sense. You're basically saying Cam was so talented that there will never be another QB like him in NFL history. Josh Allen plays like Cam imo and he is a better passer. People saying Burrow is the next Brady. I can see the comparison. You can compare QB's. We been doing it for decades.

QB is off the board if we sign Carr. You have to put weapons around him. He's not a QB who can carry a weak offense like Rodgers/Lamar. #9 pick has to be a WR Two 2nd round picks need to be a TE/RB

Basically what I been saying the entire time. If Carr is the QB you have to build around him. He's not a cheap bridge QB.

That doesn't make sense though. Carr is going to want a lot of money. Why pay a guy a 3 year contract probably worth 100 mil to be a bridge for the next 3 years? Jimmy G would be cheaper and would probably take a 1 year prove it deal because of his injury history. I rather go that route if the plan is to still draft a QB. Even Brissett/Minshew could be a bridge QB.

That is why so many are against it. Yeah he's better than what we had, but he's still in that tier of QB's that are good but not good enough. Then you look at our roster and a mid tier QB and you realize the team wouldn't make it very far in the playoffs. Carr had more weapons in Vegas than he will have here. We would have to add a lot more around him to even think about making a run. Im not a hater im just being real.

Im fine with either of the 4 QB's honestly. Draft them and develop them. I like having the "unknown" factor when it comes to these QB's. We already know what these vet QB's are.

That was 20 years ago. It's 2023 my friend. Also you realize that Ravens defense was arguably the best defense in NFL history? Defense was so great it has a 30 for 30 about them. Sheesh!

Frank you had Wentz please don't fall for the trap again. My fear is Frank/Carr will fall in love because of their religious beliefs. And we will leave the meeting with a handshake agreement. If it happens im not going to be thrilled, but at the end of the day he will be a Panther so im going to root for him and give him a fair chance to be the franchise QB.

Falcons going after Lamar. If that doesn't happen they can get AR in the draft.

They aren't trading Fields because they know once he gets a Oline the dude is going to be a problem. If they trade him and he blossoms with another franchise the media in Chicago will let that GM have it for the rest of Fields career.

That is actually a lot. The Bears want the DE from Alabama, but getting Burns who is already a young pro bowl DE would be great for them and on top of it they get the #9 pick. Without Burns it would probably take 3 1st round picks.

I got a feeling our offer for the #1 pick will be Burns/#9 pick. Chicago gets a elite pass rusher and still can get a WR for Fields at #9.

Frank had Wentz bro. He also failed. Not everybody can be Matt Stafford. In order for Carr to replicate what Stafford did he needs to go to a loaded roster aka 49ers. Carr with this roster just isn't making any noise. It's better if we draft and develop our own QB.

I like the way you think. You literally summed up why it is the perfect time to sell out for a QB...we finally have a Oline! And a pretty good defense. No excuse to not get a QB in this draft. I don't care about those picks if we strike on this QB we will be legit for the next 10 years!

Well to be clear it wasn't just Lamar that I would trade for. I said I would also trade for Rodgers if he became available. As for the draft I've been clear on that as well. Either trade up for Stroud or Young or im fine with either Levis or AR falling to us at #9. What I have been against is overpaying for a bridge QB aka Derek Carr. Im a straight shooter no in between either trade for a franchise QB Lamar/Rodgers or just get one of the top 4 QB's in the draft and develop them hopefully into a franchise QB.

Not a bad plan but Hooker has to be the future QB if we go that route. Im not sold on Hooker he looks like a career backup at best. Minshew is not bad but im pretty sure if we go the vet QB/rookie QB route it will be Brissett just because he knows Frank and already played in his system. Minshew wouldn't be a bad 2nd option though. I still think we need to trade up for the top 2 QB's. They are the clear cut best 2 QB's in the draft and with the right coaching they could develop into franchise QB's.
