Darnold is a bridge until Purdy fully recovers. Im not saying he will be the QB for the future just this year it will be his job and the 49ers will still be a top 3 team in the NFC with Darnold.

Purdy had them 1 game away from a SB appearance as a rookie. Not sure if he needs to do any more convincing. I personally don't think he's all that talented. But he proved you can win with him. Lance just can't stay healthy and he is not someone you can depend on. It might be better to go ahead and trade him with what little value he has. Him sitting on the roster does nothing for the 49ers. I think they already said Purdy is the future QB anyway.

Does Lance even have any value? Dude hasn't played because he's always injured. His rookie contract will be up pretty soon. If he doesn't play this year then he's probably just not good enough.

His weight is overblown. They won't add weight. They drafted him because of the film. If he was 185 on film he will stay there. The key for us is making sure we keep this Oline together. If he doesn't get touched and they protect him the rest will take care of itself.

Yes. I think there was a report if im not mistaken saying he is QB 1 right now because Lance/Purdy are coming off injuries. Im not even sure Lance will be on the team week 1. They will probably trade him.

Yeah im not sure people realize the situation Darnold will be in. As long as he doesn't make mistakes that offense will be just fine. If he plays well they will win a lot of games and he will definitely be in consideration for all pro. Once again you can put any average QB with the 49ers and they will win a lot of games. A rookie almost had them in the SB. That team is loaded with talent. It's going to be hard for Darnold to fail given all the talent and coaching he has around him.

He had a winning record once he took over for Baker. And our offense was only DJ Moore. I don't get the Sam hate on this board. Rhule was his coach. Even Baker played better after he left Rhule. Im not saying Sam Darnold is a pro bowler but the 49ers will still be a top 3 team in the NFC with Darnold at QB.

Steve Wilks had Sam Darnold looking like a legit starting QB and we didn't have the 49ers roster. People are crazy if they think Darnold won't succeed with the 49ers. Going to go out on a limb and say he will be the QB the entire season. Every QB they plug in that system succeeds because of the talent around them. How can you fail surrounded by CMC/Kittle/Deebo/Trent Williams?
