Every time it's time for our young elite players to get paid someone makes a thread about how expensive they will be. My response is how much are you paying them out of your pocket? Get paid young men get paid! I will never tell any football player not to get the most money they can. This sport is dangerous and these men have families to feed. Yeah and Smitty was still at the top of his game. We got rid of him just when it was time for Cam to make that next leap. It was like Smitty just quit on the franchise because Cam was becoming a mega star.

Of course the QB was going to be the face of the franchise. Cam was the #1 overall pick. Smitty was just petty in that situation. Cam wasn't going to take away from what he did for the franchise.

My only problem with Smitty was he didn't embrace Cam Newton. We could have won a lot more games early in Cam's career if he had a dependable WR like Smitty on the team. You could tell from the start Smitty didn't really vibe with Cam for whatever reason.

Miller is the truth! Just wait till his body develops. He has all the skills, it's just a matter of playing with better teammates. Melo will make him look even better. Also who said this kid was not athletic? Dude has crazy bounce!

Im happy with how things played out. We still got our QB and we kept Burns in the process. The 2 most important positions in the NFL imo are QB/DE. We seem to have 2 young studs at both positions. I think our future is bright if these 2 guys live up to their potential. Rhule is gone so im taking a more optimistic approach to this team. Not gonna lie I wasn't really into the Panthers when Rhule was around.
