I haven't been this excited about college football games in a while. Deion really got folks wanting to watch Colorado on a Saturday. Should be another fun game watching Colorado spank Rhule and Nebraska.

Those things take time. You don't judge your team off the 1st game. There has to be a trend of those things to judge a team. Week 1 is ugly football. Teams are rusty. Win/lose/draw im taking that game for what it is. I just want to be competitive.

Trading him was never on the table. The trade talk is coming from this board. Be realistic this is just about them trying to come to an agreement on a deal best for both parties. This is how negotiations go. The fact Burns is playing Sunday tells me there will be a deal sooner than later.

Yep that was the rumor. Even though Burns is my favorite player on the team I always thought it would have made more sense to trade Burns in that situation. You bring in Bryce and he has his #1 WR right away. That opens up things in the draft we could have went pass rusher instead of Mingo. Houston could have been a mentor for the rookie pass rusher. Now we go into the season with a legit offense at least skill wise with Moore/Thielen/Sanders.

Thanks for using my proposal I made the other day. It was Burns for Higgins/future 1st. I doubt they can afford to pay Burns after the Bosa deal. So this is just a pipedream trade as well.

Luckily we are in the NFC. I doubt the Bengals trade him to any of the top teams in the AFC. Unfortunately we traded our future picks for Young so I doubt we could get a deal done anyway. Our only hope is via FA which they probably will trade him before then.
