  1. You also don't want COVID passed from team to team. They bussed not only the team but the families to Jacksonville. That meant also putting them up in hotels, rentals, etc. In Florida. All of that increases the odds for positive COVID tests.
  2. Erickson only signed to the practice squad on the 6th, activated on the 9th (?). I saw him hesitate after catching the ball at first, gauging the field. By the end of the game he had stopped hesitating and that's when his return yards went up. That was probably his not being familiar with his blockers and not fully trusting the scheme at first. Also, I doubt he had much practice time before the game. PR is not a plug and play position as we Panther fans have found out over the years. He'll get more comfortable, trust his blockers and Coach Blackburn will have it all worked out net week.
  3. There's always a chance with this guy leading them.
  4. Use the Yahoo app on your phone, tablet or desktop. You can't cast it to the tv but you'll be able to watch the game.
  5. It was hard to tell that the Packers were playing football. LaFleur has a locker room problem IMO. We can win. Brady needs to put his big boy hat on and call plays Payton won't be expecting. Defense needs to disguise, disguise, disguise and never play soft. Looks like our new PR took this game to get comfortable and finally stopped hesitating. He needs to keep doing that. It'll be our entire team - coaches and players - being on the same page and outplaying evil wizard Payton for 60 minutes.
  6. Isn't that what good play calling is supposed to do? Besides winning the game which we did. I don't understand what your problem with Sam's play is. It was his first game with Brady as OC, both feeling it all out. I expect the play calling opening up as the season goes on.
  7. He has that growl down to perfection. How could any lady resist?
  8. Sorry to hear about your friend. Hope he recovers well and fast.
  9. T-Mobile is giving their customers Apple TV+ for a year free. What do they know that we don't?
  10. I remember when the ball was played at the spot where it landed, no hash mark bullsht. Out of bounds? It was placed a yard from that sideline spot. FG's from the sideline were always exciting. So don't talk to me about what is changing and what isn't. An old saying, “In this world you're either growing or you're dying so get in motion and grow.” - Lou Holtz
  11. OMG that was brilliant and beautiful. I can't usually sleep the night before a game so I'll have to read this a few more times and maybe it'll help. WTG! Thanks!
  12. We'll be 0-1. That's the story. It won't ruin my life. We should not assume Sam isn't motivated more so to win on Sunday than with any of the other 16 games. I would think that being his 1st game as a Panther would be motivation enough. Just because he hasn't shown us, we don't know if Sam carries chips on his shoulders. We certainly didn't know Jake did in his 1st year but now we do. But then we didn't have any chance to get to know Jake before he saved the day on September 7th, 2003. We've had 2 very emotional QB's, albeit both very different from each other, take us to the Super Bowl. So, yeah, that's what we as fans look for. That's not what his teammates in the huddle look for. Besides, why should anyone from the Panthers give the Jets locker room bulletin board material? That's what Sam has been doing, keeping the Jets push pins empty. And I like that.
  13. Well, I joined. I'm not a ff fan but a pick 'em is different.
  14. And in that 1st year with our Wall Of Honor QB everybody had us losing almost every game. That entire year. It was more than moxie too. Jake is such a competitive guy, he willed us to win. Thus, Cardiac Cats. That's what I want from Sam, the most competitive player on the team getting everyone to be better than their best, willing us to win.
  15. Hey mods!! Maybe pinning this is a good idea.
  16. Panthers' website lists Shi Smith as both KR & PR with no one listed behind him. What does that tell us? Nothing because he'll be inactive for this game.
  17. [Didn't want to make a new thread with the news.] Slye has been signed to the Texans practice squad. Good luck to him! https://sports.yahoo.com/former-panthers-kicker-joey-slye-211125919.html
