I'm counting on, with a better O-line, that CMC stays healthy all season. He won't be fighting for first level holes against large defensive fronts, they'll be there.

I went through 3 pages and the Ikem Ekwonu threads have disappeared so I had to start this one. Yeah, I know, QB is a bigger discussion but Ikem Ekwonu is the one having me all excited about the offense. I found this hype video on twitter and it's . I see some damn fine run blocking in the highlights. Enjoy!

I wish them both good luck. I liked both. Norwell was a dog on the hunt while here.

I'm betting that with a much improved o-line and an OC that can read defensive tendencies, CMC will stay healthy all year. When a RB has to fight for a hole in a crowd (last year, ugh) and he can't use his moves and balance to get to the 2nd level, defensive players start throwing themselves at him and that's where injuries come from, especially lower body injuries. There will be holes this year for CMC and Foreman and Chubba (balance, Chubba, balance!).

Well, we may have a QB similar to Brees but what we don't have is a Sean Payton.

Round 1 - The Carolina Panthers select Ikem Ekwonu
GRWatcher replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
This was the strangest draft round 1 ever. Seemed like every team got exactly who they wanted even with all the trades. I knew we'd not get any trade offers Fitterer would like because most of the offensive players were still available and the top defensive players were gone. It was a matter of which LT we chose. I'm excited it was Ickey. I'll bet Campen is happy too. And Bozeman can now concentrate on center. And Corbett can settle in at RG. It's like panning for gold in your favorite little creek and the flakes settle nicely in your pan. -
Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements

2020 & 2021 TC locations were different from the usual because of COVID. Off the top of my head, Dallas still goes to Oxnard, CA. And a few teams go across state. Bills to Rochester, NY and Commanders (ugh I hate that name!) to Richmond, VA for example. The whole point of TC being out of town was to have the team all in 1 place; no going home after practice and meetings. Because of COVID some teams held TC at their stadiums last year. -
Here you have the #1 argument for locker room press access. That's the behind the scenes footage the fans need to see. The leaders and the thinkers and the jokers (we need them too!) will stand out and it will translate to the field and sideline because perception is half the battle. Example, when we see Shaq jumping up and down on the sideline we will know it isn't a one time thing.

What is the impetus for the “Keep Pounding” pushaway?
GRWatcher replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
IMO he's trying to turn the football team into the soccer team. He's already changed the turf and the seating and the team entrance and the Panther's eyes at the wall at the end zones to accommodate soccer. Keep Pounding doesn't fit the soccer culture but the Wolf of Wall Street chest thump does. -
Thus none of the public infrastructure, roads, power, sewage and water, has been done.

My first thought.

Oh, I agree about publicly funded sports initiatives being a scam. The problem with this scam is that no one, including Tepper, went into it with their eyes wide open and they're getting exactly what they deserve.
-
Let's look at the logic of your 2nd sentence. Because there is none. Yes, there will be millions in tax breaks but there will be millions, if not billions over the years, of additional tax collected that they wouldn't otherwise have. Taxes they don't collect now. And that infrastructure you're complaining about? It would eventually have to be built anyway even if for different projects. Are you actually advocating that Rock Hill's only value is being the gas stop for Charlotte and it should stay that way? I hope not. The whole thing was a boondoggle from the beginning and yet everyone involved jumped right in without taking notice of where they'd land. The city backed out of what Tepper expected, what they promised, and now the county is trying to bail them out. I'll bet it gets to the state level before things start happening again.

Apparently the Browns wanted this for Baker.
GRWatcher replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ah. The folly of judging the personality of NFL players. You could probably go to any other team's board in 2011 and find much the same things written about Cam Newton. And the rumors persist. Even last year Rhule seemed surprised that Cam was a leader of men. I'm not saying Baker = Cam. Not by any stretch. I love Cam. I'm just shocked at the comments about Baker's personality. -
Ice T robbed???????????????? OMG!!! Reading comprehension takes a big hit. He claims gas pump #9 robbed him by what he paid for gas. IT WAS A JOKE.
-
Hey, stop that! This time we have players in their natural positions with good technique who know how to play the game. That'll eliminate the propensity of injuries. Don't jinx it. The Falcons are right where I want them to be with the Saints not far behind.

Keenum was traded to the Bills yesterday for a 2022 7th round pick. Hope Cleveland has other options.
-
The NFL says so. https://www.nfl.com/news/texans-qb-deshaun-watson-expected-to-be-traded-to-browns

I agree. But let me say that I think Watson had more respect for the Panthers than either the Saints or Falcons. We were told he turned us down which is a show of respect because nothing was said to the Falcons or Saints. And they're screwed now. Good luck, Cleveland, good luck.

Matt Ioannidis is signing with the Carolina Panthers, per source
GRWatcher replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not all of them. Corbett is 3 years. So is Woods. -
Wentz was traded and I'd take Jameis or Baker. But Ryan ............. NO!
