What I think sealed the deal was when Smith said publicly that it was not his job to mentor the young WRs. Did that show that he wasn't all in on the team? I think so.

Bless those who stuck with the Panthers and their teammates, saying the "right" things when asked, keeping it all on the down low and out of the press no matter what they really thought. Like Shaq Thompson. It must've been extremely stressful with the COVID lockdown and Rhule combined.

We tried having a live panther when Ericsson Stadium first opened. Didn't work out so well. Ornery creatures lol.

I've been a Blackshear fan from the beginning. He was signed by the Bills as an UDFA and ended up on their practice squad where we snatched him. His kick return skills are awesome, his hands are good and his seeing the entire field is good. Reminds me of Rod Smart "He Hate Me". I'm hoping for big things from him.

Potential $1.2B Panthers stadium renovation discussion
GRWatcher replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
I live in Statesville. Iredell County ... the county north of Charlotte that no one ever talks about. Before COVID hit both Fairfield and Hilton built smallish hotels or large motels, depending on how you look at it, in Statesville off I-77. I don't know whether or not they've recovered well from the lockdown but Statesville has always had full occupancy during NASCAR weekends. Goes to show that a large regional events' impact goes much further than the events' actual location. It would be the same for any large scale NFL event in Charlotte. I believe that the money spent for BOA's renovation and expansion is money well spent. But I also believe that part of the money should come from the state and not just the city of Charlotte because the impact goes beyond Charlotte. The sticking point may be the taxation involved. Also, the state should be involved because a good, reliable regional public transportation system needs to be installed. Currently, there basically is not one that functions well. -
Bryce Young one on one with Matthew Berry/ NFL on NBC
GRWatcher replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can't wait until we get into the meat of, say, training camp. Maybe we'll get different questions in Bryce's interviews because they've all been the same. The kid certainly isn't short winded with his answers. -
Thanks, I enjoy doing it. I was so pissed after watching that I waited to post because there would've been poo sightings all over my post lol. Since, I have thought about it and I totally agree with you. Analysts know nothing about us because we are brand spanking new from top to bottom. The current team has no history; they can't base anything off of last year even. And the bad, lazy analysts simply write us off.

https://sports.yahoo.com/panthers-xavier-woods-joins-nfl-000717163.html? 5 minute video at link. So, after Xavier's glowing report, they proceeded to totally disparage the Panthers. They've been previewing NFC South teams this week and Wednesday was the Panthers. They predict a 9-8 record, 3rd in the division. Bryce's predraft interview was played. They do not think very highly of our WR room. Did not mention our running game at all. Mentioned the injuries to our guards suggesting we won't be able to keep Bryce protected. (But isn't Brady Christianson back from injury?) Also feel there will be defensive players that won't be able to fit Coach Evero's scheme and that will be a big problem. No details given. Quite pessimistic. No excitement about anything. It was as if they wanted to depress the Panthers' fan base.

Thank you, @ladypanther.

I have it queued in YouTube. Problem is finding 1 and 1/2 hours to watch it. Some of these podcasts are toooooo long.

I remember him in The Dirty Dozen but never did get to see him play. Have seen clips by the millions. A fully imposing figure. RIP.

This is correct. I've asked the creator if he can fix the problem. I have an iPhone 14 and have tried 2 different ways to set the wallpaper and ..... nah.
-
And why would the 2nd one not work on an iPhone?
-
FYI, these were not done by the Carolina Panthers but by @PanthersWire.

Mostly I stick to the NFL Network for national NFL news. I have not heard any one of their analysts call for Atlanta to win the division. Not one. It's either been the Panthers or New Orleans. The Bucs have consistently been at the bottom. I think one of the problems analysts have when looking at the NFCS is that the Panthers have no history for them to consider. No they finished the year strong chatter. No they have a D they can build on. The only consistent from last year is our o-line and that may be in flux because of injuries. Oh, and our kicker and punter and long snapper. New head coach, 99% new staff, new QBs, new offensive weapons, new defensive alignment. We can't yet be analyzed as a whole package with history. So the analysists that are good at their jobs are looking at Frank Reich and what has been said plus each player individually. Those that are not good at their jobs are dismissing us.

Yes I did. Because our Panthers social media team worked hard on these. Don't laugh if you don't want to. Falcons one is the best.
