What Seahawks Fans Are Saying - Playoff Edition
GRWatcher replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I worked at a college bookstore this past week, temp work, & the guy in charge of the back storage area is a die hard Panther fan although he admitted that he was a Cowboy fan before 1994. Good talk whenever we both were back there. Their regular UPS driver is a Seahawks fan, obviously not from NC but I don't where he was from. He called the game the Bandwagon Bowl because we're the 2 teams with the most bandwagon fans so I don't think he's a bandwagoner. I apologized for how bad he was going to feel Sunday night after the Panthers beat the Seahawks. Then the bookstore guy said that when we beat the Seahawks in Week 6, he didn't see that UPS driver the next day because he took the day off. lol All in all, good respect all around which goes to show there can be reasonable discussions between fans when (1) no one is drinking alcohol and (2) it's face to face. -
What Seahawks Fans Are Saying - Playoff Edition
GRWatcher replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know this post isn't about football but this 'fan' can't seem to think for himself anyway. How the hell is he claiming Dave Matthews?? Can't even spell it right. Matthews was born in South Africa. The band came together in Charlottesville, VA. I mean, if you're going to brag do it right. -
Pulling for the Bengals until......
GRWatcher replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
As bad as those unsportsmanlike penalties were, and they were really, really bad, I was also in shock over the Bengals' crowd reactions. Booing for injuries? Throwing beer at the Steelers? Tomlin coming back to the field to get Roethlisberger off the field safely? They're challenging Eagles' fans' status as the worst fans. Reap what you sow with that team, I guess. -
All I've got to say is can't we afford uniforms that won't get torn up or holes in the knees??? Geesh. j/k love to see the fight and fun. Thanks Jeremy! Now we need the pic of the cheerleaders dabbin!

Along the Sidelines - Falcons at Panthers
GRWatcher replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, thanks guys for 3 different answers. I know the new CBA changed the rules for IR besides IR-designated-to-return. Because it use to be that when a player was put on IR he was treated as if he was no longer a part of the team, not allowed at practice & definitely not allowed on the sidelines. Ask Kris Jenkins. Sometimes even kept out of the team facility. You could ask Steve McNair about that but he's no longer with us. I'm glad the rules have changed. It helps the team as well as the player on IR. So it is up to the owner as to who gets a ring. Heck, Kraft gave one to Putin. It also use to be that players on IR did not. So let us hope that JR's heart has grown bigger than it was when he drew his pie chart because it very well could be that not everyone gets a ring, not A or B or C, for the Super Bowl or NFC/AFC Champion (i.e. Super Bowl loser). Ask Bill Rosinski. Thus, I said: But thanks for your help! ;) -
Along the Sidelines - Falcons at Panthers
GRWatcher replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
The looks on Ryan's face each time he was hit are so precious. Can't say he isn't expressive lol. I feel so sorry for Bene. When we win the Super Bowl, I hope they consider rings for those on IR because they continue to help while healing not to mention their play before being hurt. Seeing KB enjoy treating Cam like an older brother is uplifting. :') Thank you, Jeremy. -
Cam Newton is Darrell Waltrip; and, Six Things to Do to the Falcons
GRWatcher replied to PhillyB's topic in Carolina Panthers
Great read @PhillyB . NASCAR ain't my thing at all but I enjoyed your piece. When I think of Waltrip, I'm seeing his hair. It looks like it wants to jump off his head lol. For those not clicking links ....... -

My first thought when reading this was that maybe Ed Houcholi is a big bully among the refs & not all of them like him. lol -

Will they be on the field tomorrow? Blocking? That would be delicious!! Igo, get your camera ready! Okay. Romo seems to be the only person on the planet Earth that can energize 52 players to end a 7 game losing skid. Say, what? Fifty-two players. A professional NFL team. That is cringe worthy. Not on Romo, but on the rest of the team and the coaches. So, what exactly are Cowboy fans celebrating? I think the 1st quarter will have some good football played on both sides. By the 3rd quarter, the Cowboys will be imploding on the sidelines on the way to a loss. You can't discount the personalities you have there, nor the lack of good coaching. Ask Tennessee & Washington how far being chippy got them. Oh, and this: Carolina Panthers @Panthers 7h7 hours ago Newton named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for 2nd time in 3 weeks, 5th time in career http://panth.rs/20q8xz Cameron Newton

Welcome to the top Panthers board, Cowboy fan! How are you? Who'd you bring with you? So, how many Top-5 seasons has Tony had?

It also made the Media Roundup list at Black & Blue Review. PhillyB has a larger audience than just us cranks. -

On the Slaying of Aaron Rodgers (and other football titans)
GRWatcher replied to PhillyB's topic in Carolina Panthers
My OCD again, sorry. Loved the post, though. I really enjoy analytics that use game footage/pics. I understand X's & O's but they don't ever seem relevant. lol I'd probably be terrible with studying a playbook. Give me film! -
I'm not at all saying I agree with this fella. Our longest pass was the 59 yarder last game so I don't get the "insane amount of big plays" comment. But since when is this a bad thing? And I guess they don't really want to delve into the reasons for the short field lol. That would be too scary to confront. All you need to know, Titan fans is, we're coming. The entire team.

@RealisticTitanFan I really hope your owners continue searching for a new coach because Mike Mularkey isn't what Mariota needs either. Just take a look at EJ Manual in Buffalo.

Artistic Expressionism and the Death of the Colts
GRWatcher replied to PhillyB's topic in Carolina Panthers
You outdid yourself, Philly! Great presentation & awesome paintings. Thank you for all the work I know went into this. I especially like the 2nd painting with Cam but love both. If only I had a way to channel my feelings after such a great win without jumping on the Huddle .......... sigh. "Once in a generation the lucky man or woman may lay eyes on such a site sight and see his or her response echo through eternity." [sorry, i'm ocd when it come to spelling & grammar; it breaks the flow like a rubber band popping] -
The Packers are going to have to pick their poison and either way it won't be pretty. Eagles keyed in on Kuechly & Norman, determined to take them out of the game. Up steps Short & Davis Sr. Colts key on Short & Davis & Norman, up steps Kuechly & Coleman & Harper. Fourth quarter & they give up their keys (we were "gassed" by that point lol) & finally max protect (asshats in the booth forgot to mention that). Which had Norman & Coleman making plays because our secondary wasn't gassed, leading to Harper's tip & Kuechly's INT. So which will it be this Sunday? What poison will the Packers pick?
