  1. With the firing of Rhule and Snow, there's some players who were outstanding Sunday that aren't getting the Huddle praise they should. One of those is Blackshear. The rookie had kick returns of 45 yards and 48 yards. Kid is the real thing. https://www.panthers.com/video/highlight-raheem-blackshear-races-for-back-to-back-big-returns
  2. Tepper saw the PSL owners as representing the fan base and yesterday they showed him that he had totally lost them. I'm a little surprised but very pleased that Tepper didn't wait until the bye week (week 13) which is what I expected. I don't expect the team to be much better not because of Wilks but because of all the injuries. We'll be limited in what we can do.
  3. Maybe he'll return kicks. Chubba needs to never touch a ball again.
  4. Black end zones are back and, yet, there's no Huddle response. The Huddle has lost its soul. Tepper dropped many traditions and found that wasn't the right way to go. He's trying to bring the fans back but only winning will do that. What a jerk! The 49ers will find the end zone whether it's black or not. Will the Panthers?
  5. Batted balls happen to every QB at some time. Josh Allen had 3 batted balls in the Ravens game. There are things both the o-line and QB can do to minimize it. One thing I noticed was that when the defensive player would stop with his hands up our blocker would also sorta' kinda' stop too with their momentum going backwards. They have to be coached to counter that; it's in the footwork. I also think all d-line coaches are emphasizing this in practice because it works and, until it doesn't work, they will continue to do so. As far as the Saints overcoming Brees' batted balls, we all know that Payton's o-lines were always shadow holding until the refs called it the first time. They got away with it a lot.
  6. Been there, done that. Ready to do it again.
  7. Truth is, JR had it in his will that upon his death the team was to be sold. So the decision to sell the team before he died, no matter the reason, was a rather easy one because he was halfway there already. For heaven's sake he was falling asleep during the games lol. At least Tepper managed to get rid of JR's statue from the front of the stadium.
  8. Sorry to hear about the COVID. Hang in there and get well soon.
  9. And we're national underdogs. Exactly where we want to be.
  10. If they would convert 3rd downs the offense would be out there longer so there would be more opportunity to develop the trust that is needed between Baker, the o-line and the receivers. Whether the offense is simple or not, they're not getting it done.
  11. Take it from someone who has a photographic memory, that doesn't mean you're smarter or remember things better. You just remember differently.
  12. Same with Shi's drops. Shi is a good WR but Belichick would've had him on the bench during that game.
  13. There was one game in our lowest-of-lows years where the stadium was basically empty. I was 11 rows up from the goal line, Panthers bench side, and there was no one in my section in front of me. Goal line stand to prevent the Colts from scoring. I'm yelling, "Don't go backwards! Hold the line!" over and over. Colts score. As the guys were coming off the field, I yelled at them, "How does it feel to know that you didn't just play the best you could?" Chris Harris (safety, #43) stopped and looked at me. I saw such sadness on his face and in his eyes that I then and there vowed to never boo the team. The pain was palatable, I could feel it, from Harris to me. They are human beings after all. With that said, these ain't the Olympics where much more is at stake. Country pride after all. Booing is unacceptable although world politics have crept in the arena. Fans have every right to express their emotions and opinions even if it includes booing.
  14. Dorsey doesn't have enough experience to be hired as a HC anywhere ......... yet.
  15. That year was the worst season for me and had nothing to do with the wins/losses (2-14) or coaching. We had gone 8-8 the year before. It was the season of pie charts and no cap hits because of the failure of CBA negotiations so Richardson gave up on winning and had Hurney cut every player with a high value contract, the majority of our veterans, because it would not hit the cap. He showed the NFL and NFLPA how low and extreme an owner would go. Clausen was a rookie backed up by Tony Pike, also a rookie, so I don't put the failed season on them or on John Fox who was left with little to work with. 2010 was totally on ownership, Richardson, and I will never forgive him for that. With that said, Tepper is on a down slide and he'd better jump off quickly. He knows leading a hedge fund is not the same as leading, as an example, Amazon. It takes a totally different set of skills whether or not the personalities match. He should have known that leading a college team versus leading an NFL team is the same way and Rhule's skills would not translate to the NFL despite Rhule having a personality Tepper wanted for his head coach. On top of that he had idiot Hurney cheering him on. He should've studied Hurney's yes-man history first.
  16. My vote goes to a tie, McNair and Haslam.
  17. Dear and Gracious Football Gods ❤, Can we have professional football all game, please? No more is-preseason-really-over first half. Let Baker respect the pocket and CMC be used the entire game. Have Phil Snow bark at the front 7 to stay in their gaps and shed blockers. Let us win the coin toss. Throw a little luck our way, please. Respectfully and thank you, Panther Nation
  18. Thank you. I was thinking of the wrong kickoff.
  19. Why is no one talking about the 15 yards they were given with taking no time off the clock when the kickoff to start their drive went out of bounds????? That, to me, was what lost us the game more than the refs' call. That was a play we could control and didn't. I more expect perfection from our kicker than I do the refs. Do you think they would've tried a 73 yard FG? I don't think so.
  20. We win the game. Not predicting score. Bozeman in for Elflein because of injury to Elflein Donte Jackson with an INT. Luvu with fumble recovery.
  21. And as usual, on the night before a game, I won't be able to sleep. Radio will be on by 9am. Plenty of coffee. Thank you, @ladypanther. I'm looking forward to our 1st game like I haven't since 2016. #KeepPounding GO PANTHERS!!
