Will have to start paying attention to dudes like Rome Odunze this year. Basically, the tier after Harrison Jr.

nice post, keeping it less reactionary..but... I don't think it's out of bounds to say Bryce's accuracy was pretty off today and it just wasn't the best performance. We can say that without crying out he's a bust or anything like that. He had a few good moments but I actually thought he seemed a tad anxious back there and was throwing behind, sailed a few as well. Had one very nice drive that showed promise. The entire passing game is what I found disappointing. Play design, play calls, and Young. It's unfortunate, particularly because this is what we've been used to and wanted to be rid of, and were promised to be rid of. Onto next week. Better look a whole lot more competent. I'll give Bryce time, but the playbook didn't look pretty off the bat.

The Panthers conceding defeat with nearly four minutes on the clock.

One game today. Important weeks ahead to see how they respond. I say important because they need to prove they can create an adequate passing game. You can't look away--today, was not a good look to show out of the gate. Especially considering how one-dimensional of a team we played, the OL played well, running game was fine (minus one fumble), and the defense came to play. Overall, disappointed to see this out of the passing game. I thought we'd have significant improvement from what we've grown used to. Not a good start, can't lie. Mix of play design, poor route running, and Bryce's accuracy really did us in. Didn't think I'd say the latter. I'd like to see more of the influence Brown is bringing through the McVay/Shan/McD offenses. Where are the sweeps, slants, shallow crosses? These sideline floaters on triangle sets/curl routes are infuriating. Saw that in preseason but didn't think we'd see THAT much in the regular. -
Trying hard not to overreact today...but we had consistent protection, a running game, and a defense that came to play. Just really unimpressed with Frank's playcalling (not entirely unexpected) and surprised with what I've seen out of Bryce. Doesn't mean he can't turn around and ball out next week though. He had one rather impressive drive but the plays just weren't well tailored for him other than that early drive and something just didn't click today.

The answer WAS on the roster and now he’s in SF

Thought this would be a CMC thread ha -
Defense looked find today for the most part. Offense gave them short fields. Can't say I'm impressed with much on the offense side aside the OL and Hubbard (sometimes).

Just ugly. We're lucky we're still in this honestly. Meh
-
3 TOs does not help us today.
-
Evero's got the defense playing angry but poised. Offense needs to get some consistent drives, has looked very nice at times. Not bad. Some bad but nothing warranting any big reactions.
-
That type of consistent push forward for the OL and combo run/pass with motions was great. TE, Mingo, TMJ, both RBs, all part of the drive. Kept Bryce moving a bit, just great rhythm.
-
Started shaky but looked like a #1 pick that drive. Poise and awareness was as crisp as hell.
-
I don't think that was a catch but not conclusive. And then ATL punts...
-
yep, got turned around. No coffee this morning haha
-
Defense is keeping us in this. The offense just seems a bit jittery right now. Second drive had some rhythm until the redzone and then we've suddenly got shaky.

Burns 1.5 sacks, 1 tfl. Keep playing angry my man

Chubba shaking and hesitating on 4th won't get you anywhere. Bad call, bad running.

I'd like to think we will treat at least 1 trade or FA signing this next year as a 1st-round level acquisition to compensate for not having a first in the draft. Ideally, I'd like to see that either as a 3 down DL or playmaker WR. We could win this year but it's easy to see that this offense needs playmakers badly. Higgins would be a very solid target. You're probably looking at the likes of Mike Evans, Gabe Davis, and his teammate Boyd come 2024. Higgins is the youngest (24) and would be an ideal target to grow in an offense with Bryce. He seems to get knicked up a lot, but doesn't tend to miss a tone of time.

KC <--> Mike Evans Could see that one happening with the tank on in TB

Benny J, what are you doing?

Lions rookies everywhere
-
Okay, good for you

They basically had to admit, "It's not just that he's starting too soon every snap, he's also lined up wrong" lol
-
Gotta love how they had to show how illegally Taylor has been lining up nearly every snap.

LaPorta is going to be legit
