  1. This team has so little sure things that you can start anywhere, and grab anyone, anywhere in FA and the draft. This feels so different than other seasons...we are as bare bones as it gets. I would say Center is much more important these days with calling protections and helping out inexperienced QBs, so it's a good one to prioritize at start. Get a guy you know you want for your scheme. Bozeman wasn't it.
  2. Powers-Johnson is definitely not making it past 33, but he could shape up not making it past 25ish. With center, you can land a starter all the way to the 4th round..and there's a few instant-starting quality centers in this draft after P-J. Barton is interesting. Limmer, Frazier, Van Pran-Granger, Nourzad, Samac, Bortoloni all legit candidates in the 3rd-4th. Kind of drops after the Wisconsin kid.
  3. If they aren't McCarthy/Penix/Nix fans, it definitely makes things interesting. And it also is interesting the Bucs are willing to have Baker look around. Per Vikes insider, they're eyeing him. https://heavy.com/sports/minnesota-vikings/baker-mayfield-kirk-cousins-nfl-buccaneers/ Could be a wild FA & build up to this draft.
  4. Our implementation of it and players used for it sucks.
  5. He's about the only target that seems like a good addition longer term. He's got great ball skills, great downfield tracking ability and is aggressive. And Indy does have a pass rushing need. Burns for Pittman and a 3rd-ish could be an interesting approach, albeit, a bit of a pipedream.
  6. The way I see it, 2 teams have huge pressure to land a QB somehow and get it right - the Vikes and Giants. Those two teams are going to be more aggressive than others with a new HC. Daboll and O'Connell need to find their guy and get those teams in shape.
  7. For sure with the Bears and WAS. I'm just unsure about NE. They're still a bit of a wildcard in my eyes and I think teams covet MH Jr. enough to at least call them. Part of lying season is having this chatter about Odunze and Nabers being on par with Marv. It's all fun/meaningless speculation but my 2 cents of it.
  8. I just think the market for MH Jr. is purposely being deflated and there's a bit of movement that could happen for him as much as a QB.
  9. Players we drafted still on the team since 2016: 2016: (0/5) none 2017: (1/7) Taylor Moton 2018: (1/8) Ian Thomas - likely gone 2019: (1/7) Brian Burns 2020: (min 1/7) Brown pending, maybe YGM 2021: (4/11) Horn, Brady, Tremble, Hubbard - TMJ will be gone momentarily 2022: (3/6) Icky, Mays, Barno 2023: (5/5) In tact but DJJ, Zavala and Jammie aren't long for these parts
  10. Damn man, you're right. 2nd in DROY votes after 2020, then follows it up with an excellent sophomore year, becomes a fan favorite, and then falls into obscurity. Just wild. He's a guy that could end up elsewhere and we look wildly foolish in how we used him.
  11. It's just what I gathered, take it what you will. I place a lot of stock in how coaches manage the week and run Monday through Friday. Rivera & Wilks together were the best we've had in this respect. All TBD in my eyes, nothing to judge yet.
  12. Possibly. They could also be movers if a team wants MH Jr. over AZ (I.E. the Chargers or Giants) Could still end up landing who's left of Maye/Daniels ahead of ATL, Minny, and DEN
  13. He is in the NFL sphere, and knows his way around an NFL locker room and staff. Rhule was a true outsider that had no idea what he was doing. Canales definitely has this softer/super-positive persona that seems a bit of an act. I get that. But digging in, where he's different seems to be on the practice field. He's a lot like McVay in how he engages during practice. Runs with the units, is pretty hands-on and detail oriented with the play and execution. It is all a TBD; have no clue what it will turn up and produce yet.
  14. FA is kicking off and there's an abundance of candidates on the block this year. Gonna be an active week my amigo.
  15. *This is for all news around the league/not just Panthers Let's kick this off-- Mac Jones traded to JAX per Adam Schefter
  16. Morse met with PIT and is in JAX for one right now. Market interest is high so unlikely we win that out.
  17. With the buzzing a day before things can legit happen, yeah we're ready to make a trade to shake things up. Chinn, Burns, someone is headed out.
  18. Gallup's moment has passed. That would be like DJ Hackett all over again. To the report - I don't mind Drew Lock at all. He looked fine when he came in last year and could be a good tank commander if Bryce gets injured or just doesn't work out.
  19. FA names TE: Noah Fant OL: Jon Runyan Solid EDGE options: Bryce Huff, DJ Wonnum, Michael Danna Meh WR options: Darnell Mooney, Kendrick Bourne Trade targets Picks - get more picks, no vets. Stop chasing and start collecting.
  20. Zach Frazier at the top of round 3 would be nice. Plug and play at 60 something, you still get a starter at 33. McConkey + Frazier would be nice.
  21. I gotta think the Vikings and Giants are going to be two of the more aggressive teams angling for Daniels, Maye and/or McCarthy. Both staffs are going into year 3, have had a lingering QB situation, and need to make a move or they risk their seats warming up. The Broncos are in a tough spot and you love to see it. Same goes for LVR. ATL is a bit different of a situation, the right QB, they could win the division. PIT & NE are the wildcards
  22. He just doesn't fit what we need but I like the guy. Could have success, just not in CAR
  23. If we're in position to draft Adonai Mitchell or Ladd McConkey as the 5-6th WR off the board, the path is clear. If not, then I'm not sure about WR at 33. I just hope Morgan doesn't overdraft to the effect Fitt and DG both tended to do, but who knows. I know the speed is tantalizing but I'm not wild about Worthy. Coleman is a wildcard for me and the value just isn't there with the rest of them.
