  1. Yeah just rewatch the post-draft presser in 2021. It was Fitt answering all the questions about trade calls, players they were targeting, what the scout team thought of said players. Rhule is sitting they’re like a deshuffled guy just riding it out. Fitt even mentioned how they turned down multiple calls for #8 because how much they liked Horn haha.
  2. This is what I find so wild. Mainly because this was not some hidden combination. It was there for all to see. Also have to factor in his unconventional shotgun dropback and mechanics effecting the velocity. The collective trust across all platforms/fans/media/etc. that he just had “it” and those intangibles overrode the physical limitations is what is just amazing. Reading evals retroactively is pretty funny — minus a few near spot on ones from the Athletic. Some Lessons learned should definitely be coming from this.
  3. It is downright impressive how sharp the dive has been. Happy new year
  4. RE: Lawrence talk — I would hesitate to compare because Trevor is still having a pretty iffy/up and down career. He still doesn’t look like he’s jumping into top-10 QB conversation. RE: Bryce — I just don’t know at this point. The eye test still just seems really bad. I would love to say he’s getting me excited at times, I’m trying to stay neutral, but it’s been difficult. No getting around that for me, it sucks to say, but it’s just what I see. Just seems way too limited. Time to position Bryce for next season and see how he can look in a new environment with a revised offense. Not much more to thinK on in that respect. We’ve known what we’re getting with the combo we have on offense for 10+ weeks running.
  5. I’ll be honest—Johnson has called a really bad game.
  6. I think Canales is being overlooked and is a big reason for TB holding things together. He’s a very bright and respected coach. I’ve been paying attention to him and Waldron for a bit now since the Reich cycle. Johnson, Canales, Waldron and Macdonald are my preferences.
  7. Looks like it's a bluetooth boombox with an avg. $399.99 retail value: https://bumpboxx.com/ So if I'm picking up what the OP is putting down, he stickered over an Auburn one with Panthers insignias? Seems like it could be a fun tailgate piece I suppose, but not putting that in my house haha. ...but I'm a more minimalist prick/audiophile, I only trust certain brands when it comes to any form of audio purchase (headsets, speakers, studio monitors, players, preamps, etc.). And it has to have a clean, timeless design. Fun stuff though I suppose.
  8. One minor correction is that Kafka has remained play caller in NY. There were rumors Daboll was calling them in late September but the staff refuted the claims. And I’m honestly a tad impressed what he was able to do what he’s done with that OL, WR and QB situation this year. They’re in a similar boat to us but without a potential franchise QB on the roster.
  9. Targeting a young gun, whether O or D with adequate NFL experience, from a legit coaching tree, is what we need. And hopefully can identify the best HC material from that crop. Outside of Johnson, Waldron, & MacDonald, I’ve got one more more I’m quite interested in being Canales in TB. I think Johnson is still near the top of the list and for good reason.
  10. Yeah his 4th quarter performance in particular was stellar. Showed a lot and am excited to see how it progresses this next week. Gives some level of added interest to the season as well. It’s been nice to see.
  11. Waldron is the one I’m keeping an eye on if B Johnson doesn’t pan out. Waldron or maybe poach Canales from TB.
  12. On topic - Bryce was awesome today. So close to a W.. a lot of promising throws and composure. Now go enjoy your christmases
  13. I specifically told you why you got a timeout. You were bashing the board, bashing posters, doing nothing else. Don’t start and don’t only post spats. It’s really that simple.
  14. I mean, they had quality wins beating Cleveland, Baltimore, the Rams, & GB. I wouldn't say the Raiders, TEN, or Bengals games were anything much, but they managed 7 wins. That's the "down" year.
  15. I think Tomlin is one of the best coaches in the league, and arguably one of the best coaches of the 21st century. The fact that he's managed the wins they had this year with this Pickett/Mitch mess is honestly impressive. Not to mention guys like Pickens being a toxic prick. That being said, I agree with some that he's not going anywhere. They've just been stuck in QB hell ever since Big Ben's 2nd to last season. The QB situation is cramping the team--they need a new franchise QB...and they'll be in a good spot this draft with them likely out of the playoffs.
  16. So theoretically, could get 2 Carolina guys in a Ray Agnew + Ben Johnson GM/HC combo. Or maybe those two are a package that goes to LA instead.
  17. Yeah Herbert alone will make them appealing for an OC type like Johnson (I'd imagine) Although, the rest of the offense is in a bit of a pickle. Zion underperformed this year. Slater is about the only sure thing on their OL. Ekeler is on the downturn/lost a step, there's no real RBs in house to take over (Kelley is bad). Everett is getting older and their best TE. QJ has struggled mightily and Mike Williams is gone. Defensively, they have Derwin. Stud. Mack (getting older) and Bosa (always injured). Two really promising young guys in Ken Murray and Tuli (one of my fave rookie pass rushers), but the rest is kind of a mixed bag. Detroit wise - I guess it would be Ray Agnew (former player) after scoping things out. He's 56 y/o, interestingly enough, went to NC State, played ball for them in the 90s, from Winston Salem. Was the Rams director of Pro Personnel from 2017-2020. https://sidelionreport.com/posts/detroit-lions-assistant-general-manager-ray-agnew-is-a-legit-candidate-for-chargers-gm-job
  18. I'm pretty sure the 5-7 of those people realized how embarrassing it would look and bailed lol.
  19. I will say, if Bryce can start navigating the pocket like he was in Q4, come out next year through full-NFL conditioning program, under a modern scheme, tailored for him by Waldron/Johnson/Canales/whoever, maybe there's something. A hit on the HC with at least one offensive playmaker are the two things that abso-f*cking-lutely need to happen if we want to see if this can work.
  20. It was a very solid game winning drive that should boost some confidence. Packers aren't world beaters. Have some games to build momentum. Defense was incredible today. Brown and Luvu played their brains out. Bryce managed the game mistake free and made some solid throws in key moments. Positives today. No TDs, but positives nonetheless.
  21. I was brought on a ~monthish ago to try to help because I want to bring a solution to it and keep contributing discussion over mindless bashing of the board. Bashing the starting QB is still at least about football (until it goes to far or turns to spam)..but endlessly bashing posters and the board does nothing. Helps nothing. And just wastes time and space. Just because a mod isn't a Bryce fan does not mean we're restricting positive Bryce chat. But he's overall played pretty bad so it's going to be magnified. Just gotta make the arguments for him. Now, if you think there's sh*tposters being missed, then flag it and send it our way. I'll get on it.
  22. You are only criticizing the board, posters, and contributing nothing. Deal with it. If that's all you're going to do, then this is what you're going to get.
  23. Also locking this bc it's not going anywhere. A bit of a baseless, in game, reactive Bryce bash.
