True..I meant more than being bent he went to NO.

Meh. Doesn’t remotely bother me.

What player would you like to see play to their 'potential'?

He could be a legit weapon in this league. Don’t forget he was also young when drafted—was the age of many rookies this past year. I feel like he’s close. Just needs to have the snaps and opportunity. He’s made some of our nicest TD plays and makes an impact every time he touches the ball. He’s also one of our only guys who has shown continuous, positive, progression. Very high ceiling IMO if we can capitalize. -
Well that would be interesting for sure

He’s been a bust but it seems like a marginal contract. Could see Barno beat him out.

My guess is teams may not view a dip between 12-45ish this year. They maintain that, get ann extra flyer, and gain a second next year. I see a big drop off early and then a lot of similar value for a bit. Not a deep first but decent late 1st to 3rd talent pool this year.

Unless the Vikes are staying aggressive and now looking to use two first and next years to move up very high.
-
We haven’t heard from him in a bit and I honestly haven’t thought about him for a few weeks so he’s starting to do some things right.
-
Key here is creating a good enough rotation until we can find the flagship talent at EDGE. The draft isn’t that great for it but there’s some interesting guys. Last year though..ugh Tuli would’ve been a monster in Evero’s defense.

Great pickup with long term potential. This is the type of FA surprising to see come here ha — all for it He needs to become a bit more consistent as a pass rusher but he has strong spurts

I'm personally a big fan of package trades that have the even draft asset distribution. I.E. We have the first 4th rounder, first 5th, and an extra 5th. Something like our 4th and later 5th (166 from SF) for a late 3rd and 6th would be an interesting move come draft day if an impact guy falls in that late 3rd range.

Good on SEA. A 4th and 6th instead of a 3rd and 5th for them plus a top backup. That's a great trade for them.

There's at least 3-5 heavy reaches in the first that cause guys to be available you wouldn't think would be there. I prefer we stand pat and select the best. Don't get cute. 33 is a great value pick that you shouldn't move down from. If anything, you trade a pointless 5th or something to move up a few picks into R1 at like 29/30. 39 is a maybe if the return is in 40s, but I don't think you go much further down. If you're picking up an extra 3rd/4th, it's a quality/valuable return, and you'll likely get a guy in the same draft block available at 39. Let's just select the best guy available. If there happens to be a team desperate enough for a guy, sure, maybe take advantage of that, but don't deploy this as a strategy.

Yeah this is definitely an Evero target here. He's assembling the defense he wants which by all accounts should be good.

Nice list. I've got my annual assessments brewing and you've got a few I really like..Pearsall, Adisa Isaac, & Max Melton. -

In-game quickness (not just fast in shorts), stellar hands, route-running is A-level...it is just as good as McConkey. A plug slot and can play Z. I just don't see how he doesn't translate to the NFL and immediately. Another guy in Cowing ain't too shabby either in this respect, great mid-round guy to target. -
I like some pieces. There's signings to bridge while we build and others for when they hope to be built. They favored the latter. Robert Hunt, Damien Lewis, Dane Jackson, and even Robinson all fall in that category. Getting guys in their mid to late 20s with decent road ahead. Plus talent that better fits what they want instead of "core" guys carrying over from a 2-15 sh*tshow. Dionte Johnson is a bit of a wildcard but undeniable talent at the WR spot for nothing. Even if Bryce doesn't work out, these guys could be a core in tact for the eventual QB.

The Titans make weird decisions.

I love Pearsall. He's my favorite WR this year after the top-4 and McConkey. Who I was hinting at...there's an ILB in Junior Colson that is far and away the best at the spot in the draft. And an incredible leader at that, to bring in and lead this defense for 8+ years. Shaq is coming off a big injury in his final contract year, Jewell is an older guy, is more of a stop-gap while we rebuild. Our LB GM could very well be looking for our next true leader in the middle. Junior Colson at 33 is something I gotta say I've been flirting with and honestly love. If you want to rebuild you have to find your core. -
Panthers sign ex Bills CB Dane Jackson
Bear Hands replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We paid him what we needed to in order to sign - 27 y/o, plenty of ball left. This and the Johnson trade are nice. Troy Hill and him are solid to have, and its a plus if Horn plays 10+ games. Once you look past the disaster Fitt left us and the underwhelming return for Burns, it's not too shabby of a situation. Get at least 1 competent EDGE and we may not be the worst roster in the league anymore... -

Reacting to what we still need-- I look at what the Lions did last year, with getting specific players they wanted. Some perceived them as reaches (Gibbs/RB, LB, LaPorta/TE, & Campbell/LB) and it makes me think that we may end up doing something similar with how wide spanning our needs our. Target specific guys/player types for building a foundation & future at 33 or 39. With that in mind, there's one in particular who is starting to stand out IMO that is not really being discussed...but he'd be a captain quickly and more. -
If they end up releasing Bosa (that saves them $47 mil over 2 years, wow), that could be interesting. He's getting up there in age and coming off injuries, but could hit a second life at 28 for 4-5 more years...just needs to move past the injuries. Not my top pick, but it'll be interesting to see what happens in LA today.
