  1. I would personally love to bring back Heinicke. He played admirably when needed to for DC, can push the ball downfield, & most importantly won. That's what you want.
  2. Slayton or Campbell are kind of the only half decent option (Lazard is likely following AR to NYJ) Best case is something like trading for Courtland Sutton, landing Slayton, drafting Downs/Hyatt, and a later dude like Tyler Scott/Reed/Wilson/etc. Match that up with TMJ, Shenault, & Shi, one or two is bound to click. Maybe a guy like Haynes is the right trade piece to consider for landing a proven commodity?
  3. TMJ/Shi and Hubbard deep at offensive skill positions. Any minute now...lol
  4. Good. Much less heartburn when he's gone up to kick em' than Pin
  5. Yup. Chi town has plenty to spend. That's a big one for them.
  6. Well we signed a linemen to start things off and are in hour 4 of the FA, let's see what happens. Plenty of road ahead. The house hasn't even landed on the witch yet.
  7. In recent years, the best FA successes are on the DL and DB. I like where our priorities are beginning.
  8. I think Jordan Rodrigue hit it on the head about him filling the Ramsay type role. A bit different than the buffalo nickel which has historically come out of the base 4-3. Being a base 3-4, it's a similar role that floats all over sub dependent with some differences. https://theathletic.com/2784000/2021/08/27/cornerback-jalen-ramsey-is-the-rams-star-a-position-that-can-evolve-as-he-does-too/
  9. I want to keep calling him Shuttle, and it keeps making me think of badminton.
  10. The good news at this point: We have not overpaid a mediocre mid-20s something who's never done anything on offense yet. DJ Hackett-less thus far. Nice.
  11. But also, J Rod mentioned the Ramsay type role that the Rams made. I think we may very well be seeing something similar done for Chinn. Exciting regardless. Talented defense just got better in my estimation.
  12. Navarro Bowman who is super close to Chinn is style and mass (a bit stockier), played amazingly in a Fangio D (w/Evero as an assistant) in SF. I see how him and Willis did together, and it makes me confident Shaq-Chinn could work
  13. I won't pretend I know it all, but our expected base package is a two-high safety approach so Woods & Bell will be those outfielders with one sometimes a robber. Woods -- Bell Horn Jackson Burns - Shaq - Chinn? - Luvu Brown - Tuttle - <TBD> Now, this may only end up being 25-30% of our formations, but if we're keeping Chinn and want him in 90%+ of defensive snaps, that's kind of where he'll need to go at times. Unless you want him deep. People will say he fits this hybrid but they aren't accounting for a good fraction of our anticipated defensive looks. He'll be akin to the hybrid role with a thousand nicknames otherwise in our nickel and dime subs.
  14. There's the buddy Woods needed back there with him in the 2 deep.
  15. You need good as$ run defense in our new scheme and this dude gives us just that. Not bad.
  16. Yeah, I think it's easy to say Corral's days in Carolina are numbered. I mean, at this point, he's never realistically seeing the field for us in a meaningful snap anyways.
  17. We're about to get a 6th comp for a guy we spent a two thirds on a year ago. Oh well haha
  18. If we secure Foreman for a few years, I would absolutely love to land a guy like Achane or Spears in the draft. Get a home run, pass catcher and Hubbard can fill in when needed. Takes away the need to reach on Charbonnet or Gibbs at 39 and be patient at the spot come late April.
  19. I'm sensing an Allen Lazard type pickup. Honestly, would rather angle for a trade at WR and draft a TE. Unless we REALLY want Schultz or Gesicke, don't think we overspend at either spot. WR FA class is yikes. We may be gunning for Dre'mont Jones or if Shaq isn't fully reworked, could sign Okereke and tell him bon voyage.
  20. No one is trading to #1 next year, whatever team lands that is staying put. They're looking like a hot contender. Vegas & Washington as well.
  21. I'm non-ACC/UNC, but yep, he would be a great get, and a guy to play immediately. No easing in w/him. He reminds me so much of the types that get projected as slot only, but their skill really pushes them beyond it to a more of a plus starter that plays outside at times. I've seen a lot of Tyler Lockett/TY Hilton comps, but I think he has more upside with his quick moves, intermediate game, & contested catching. It's hard to see him not have an instant impact. I see a Devonta Smith or Amon Ra in him that's not getting enough praise.
