  1. Fitterer really screwed up with this Burns situation. It’s looking like a colossal mistake not to have him be the player chip in the Bears trade (that we shouldn’t of even made in the first place)
  2. Yep. The average consumer is all streaming these days, and the avg person carries 2.9 subscriptions/month. And you cancel and resubscribe dependent on who's carrying the shows you want to watch. It's all just a dance right now with these companies (all owned by 5ish main conglomerates at the end of the day-Paramount, Disney, Comcast, Amazon, & Apple) to see what works the best for them. Those peak years of cable were a stabilizing force for them to become the giants they are. They don't have that type of binding infrastructure-based luxury anymore and are trying to create it through acquisitions & partnerships. Just like rock music, what you knew of media and TV is long dead. Has been dead. We're in this weird period where the mega moguls are positioning and buying the moguls to create the best umbrella corp in the age of streaming. Disney went for a huge grab when they purchased purchase 20th Century Fox and then the majority stakes in Hulu. The new sports-service is definitely stemming from those moves and more positioning taking place. I can definitely see Fox Corp & Warner going capoot within a few years with more and more moves. It's all just such a dance.
  3. We need someone to pretend to work BOFA to just carry around some measuring tape, happen to pass Bryce, ask for an autograph for their kid, and do a quick take-off and bolt. I kid, I kid. It's always been my guess he's right around 5'9. his eye level (the important thing) is about an inch below Kyler's). Less stocky but more length. Okay, that's enough of me investigating photos of NFL players for today lol. Saban is 5'6, they're likely in similar dress shoes with modest heels here:
  4. Finally starting to dig into prospects this year. Had my favorites during the season (Odunze, Franklin, McMillan), now diving into the guys on teams I wasn't watching as much. One standout at WR (who happens to be close buds with my favorite RB in CFB, 2022): Jha'Quan Jackson https://www.thedraftnetwork.com/2024/02/02/jhaquan-jackson-nfl-draft-stock-senior-bowl Sign me up for R3-4
  5. Let's please not get into a religion thing again...it's pretty easy to do. You just don't bring it up. Do note-a quick search shows that Canales is not evangelical. He's from a strongly Christian latino family that is actively involved with one of those multi-cultural ministry churches called Mission Ebenezer Family Church. He's seems to be a very religious guy but if a guy like Tepper doesn't mind then IDGAFF. Ok, back to football or a lock is in the future.
  6. Pretty much. Nailed it with that last paragraph. We need a natural separater that comes with refined route running skills and a program with pro style offense. Regarding the draft—mentioned elsewhere but the few that have had my eye (primarily since they were on a lot of national tv during the season) were McMillan out of WAS and Mitchell in Texas. Mitchell at 33 is a strong possibility. His stock is rising - diverse route tree, can play multiple spots, good route runner, strong burst off the line. I was a huge Odunze fan going into the year but he cemented a solid 1st round status. Troy Franklin is another to keep an eye on but he’s not as refined as a route runner, but has awesome big play ability.
  7. Well this thread has been entertaining
  8. It must just be me but I‘M not a huge Higgins fan. Definitely not opposed as we need talent so sure, if it’s mutual, come on in. But he tends to deal with constant minor nagging injuries, doesn’t miss much time, but there’s just always something going on with the guy. Multiple hammys, ankle, shoulders has had that notable concussion hit, he’s tweaked stuff at practice. I know plenty of Bengals fans are pretty indifferent with him leaving. Especially considering the potential of Iosivas and Charlie Jones.
  9. Route running, quickness, and separation should be the top traits when filtering WR prospects this year. Big fan of McMillan (WAS) and Mitchell (TEX) with that in mind. No more larger guys with highlight reel catches.
  10. Fitterer told us as much that’s what he did, multiple times in interviews. He was just really really really really bad at it.
  11. Yeah between him Downs, & Pierce, it’s a good setup for Richardson. No extension for Pittman yet so he’s hitting FA if I recall.
  12. I'd do what I can to sign Michael Pittman. I think he's the optimal target this FA. Not Higgins. Not Gabe Davis. Not a 28 y/o+ trade target to waste more capital on. He's got the age, speed, size, downfield ability, and most importantly, is proven at this point. Ideal WR Route: Pittman & draft picks this year that don't have a curve to hit w/route running & gaining separation (Adonai Mitchell, McMillan, Corley, etc.)
  13. With how frustrated he reportedly was in BUF, lord knows he’d go crazy here. Best suited for a team that can get him volume no questions asked.
  14. The Ringer did a dynamic ranking system this past year for the 32 starters w/a bunch of different metrics. Bryce was ahead of 10 in arm talent (#22): Purdy, Rudolph, Stidham, Minshew, O'Connell, Browning, Heinicke, Devito, Mullens, & Zappe. Only one of those guys was the undisputed "starter" going into the season, being Purdy. Other notables for Bryce: 32nd in YPA 31st in EPA/PLAY (Which is good at measuring clean pocket work) 31st in success rate 23rd in Comp % Over Expected https://nflrankings.theringer.com/qb-rankings
  15. Rhule: "Look, well you see...[5 minutes of talking]...and that's why, at the end of the day, it's all about the process" Reich: "*Gurgle/Cough...[5 minutes of talking]...I'm sorry what was the question?"
  16. No doubt we're numb and have zero expectations. Only one way to go at this point. With these interviews, it's just exposure more than anything, not really learning a ton. But what I will say... Rhule was a used car salesman to a tee. Frank spoke a lot without saying much. Rambling non-answers with a bunch of platitudes. This guy doesn't seem as annoying. He's got energy and doesn't trail off at least haha
  17. A little fluff for your Friday morning How he ended the interview: "Keep Pounding"
  18. You have to get him operating from the gun with rhythm. Keep him comfortable with a good running game and calling mesh concepts, hitting shallow crosses with YAC type guys. Then that should open things up hopefully. What you can’t do is put him on an island so to speak, in a shallow pocket needing to play the middle of the field. Thats not him. He doesn’t play the middle. On the flip side, problem was last year, it was all of these out routes and the quick slants to Thielen (that he still plays well). But it didn’t spread a defense out so it became super beatable and readable. Especially with a mid to bad running game. Last year’s construction and scheme was an abomination. I’ll be interested to see how he does with more quick hitters and plays designed to isolate or open the field up with a new skill personnel.
  19. "YAC King" Corley sounds to be translating in a new environment. Strong route running and a YAC guy. That's pretty in line with our needs. I'm not interested in falling for pretty catches or 10.0 RAC style athleticism at WR this year. Give me route running, blocking, and speed. Elsewhere, Quinyon Mitchell at CB sounds to be having the best week of any prospect along with that Center Johnson.
  20. Realistically, he’s ranked probably around 25-27th of 32 starters in arm strength. Nothing to hide from, great play can outweigh it.
  21. Brugler reported Legette has been having a lot of trouble and is definitely a faller so far.
  22. Spencer and Kirskey are still here. Survived Rhule and Reich leading the college scouting front. Still a bit of a concern given the results these past few years. But what do I know ha
