Panthers Select Ja'Tavion Sanders TE - Pick 101, Round 4
Bear Hands replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Also look at the last 4 remaining teams last year - Kelce, Kittle, LaPorta and Andrews. Having a great pass catching TE can put an offense over the top. -
Add a shifty slot burner to this WR room and it is very well rounded

Trotter is available for a reason. Being an off-ball linebacker with such deficiencies in coverage is not appealing. -
Panthers Select Ja'Tavion Sanders TE - Pick 101, Round 4

Should be great of the jump as the flex TE, is basically a big receiver for us. Tremble can continue his progression from a hybrid into both hybrid & in-line role. They fit very well together. -
There's a few left I've had my eyes on - Jarvis Brownlee, Mustapha, Carson, Abrams-Draine, Josh Newton, Myles Harden. We'll see!

Honestly, let's just trade up before the talent drop. It's not like our 6th or 7th is anything special. Have (2) 5ths next year as well. Go get the DB you want. Or C.

We got the WR we wanted from a huge promising crop, the RB1 and many people's TE2. We've got Bryce weapons, that's for sure.

Think that's very good value.

Alright! MORE WEAPONSSSSS

Let's Go! Ja'Tavion Sanders TE Texas 21 Years Old | 6'4 245 | 1.59 10 yard split | 4.69 40 Notable Rankings: TE2 on most boards, 2nd-3rd Rounder on The Beast Dynamic TE prospect - Think a more physical Evan Engram/Gerald Everett type Per PFF: Sanders, a former five-star recruit, looks like a super-sized athlete. Coming mostly from an inline or wing-back position, he is a constant vertical threat and a mismatch for most linebackers in coverage. His hands are reliable, as he did not drop a single pass in 2023. His explosive movement skills allow him to run routes like a receiver. If he wasn’t on a team that also included Adonai Mitchell, Xavier Worthy and Jordan Whittington, he could’ve easily been a 1,000-yard receiver. He possesses all the tools to be an impact blocker, as well. His tape does include snaps where he lacks the necessary blocking physicality against smaller players. 2023 Stats: 45 receptions, 682 yards, 2 TDs

I wouldn't mind a guy with a really legit mustache.

Very evenly spaced out w/so many acquired through trades. I think we were a bit more intentional with our moves than Morgan let on.

Panthers Select Trevin Wallace LB - Pick 72, Round 3

Another good example being Navorro Bowman his rookie year learning behind Takeo Spikes. Once Fangio and Evero took over there, they coached him up and he became one of the best duos in the league with Willis. Had a season behind Spikes and then put the league on notice. Trevin has a year to learn behind Shaq and then get fierce. -
Panthers Select Jonathan Brooks RB - 46th Pick, Round 2

Yup. I'll take the player himself's word for it haha -
Jarvis Brownlee Jr. FS/NB could be a dude that surprises as a selection. Similar to Cobie Durant who was part of Evero's backfield.

Thanks for the info. I like this kid, seems like a promising dude and he should be ready for the year.

Panthers Select Jonathan Brooks RB - 46th Pick, Round 2

That's per Brooks himself in his intro presser too. He sounds ready to go. -
Malik Washington & Caelen Carson would be my two biggest wishes from the remaining crop. Who knows, maybe they finally get a guy I like lol. Never seems to happen ha.

Panthers Select Trevin Wallace LB - Pick 72, Round 3

Very important point. At the end of the day, this is their work and they're in charge of bringing the right guys in after interviews. From a fans lens, we look at the field play and interviews here and there and just hope for the best guy from the outside looking in. But it is absolutely critical they get guys that mesh best with their approach, culture, locker room. They're building a workplace. They have their board with their blocks and they're drafting based off that. We'll see if they got some guys that stick this year. -
As good of a presence Thielen is for the locker room, his lack of speed in the slot hampers us. It's also why I could see Malik Washington or Cowing as much as Brenden Rice or Javon Baker if we go WR today.
-
Ha fair - he's a guy I'm hyped about so that's where my optimism comes from. Overall, he's a pass catcher, quick cutter, big play guy that could have a really nice rookie season for us.

Would you trade back from pick #101 to add a fifth rounder?
Bear Hands replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd rather trade up to get another 4th. We're hitting a fringe in the draft and would prefer landing impact over camp bodies. 2 guys to compete for playing time + 1 camp body > 1 guy and 3 camp bodies -
Thread for today

I'll get to it, dog and pregnant wife priorities this AM lol
