I expect we will see some changes in policy come out of last night. Whether they are substantive or performative, only time will tell. But I would very much hope this reminder of how fragile our existence is will stick with this community and tone down some of the poo that get thrown at these players. All the "he is trash", "Ill trade him for a ham sandwich", "dude is garbage", etc. These guys are people with families and loved ones and we (myself included) sometimes forget that when we plop down in out Lazy-boys with a beer and a brat to watch on Sundays.

I have to believe the whole warm-up for 5 minutes thing is just SOP for an injury timeout of more than X minutes and the refs were just "following orders". I just cant let myself believe that ANYONE would pick up the phone in these circumstances and say "Get them back on the field!"

I honestly dont understand why some of you bother. We suck Its all rigged The NFL wont let us be succesful For fugs sake go find something that doesnt make you so miserable.

I get that the NFLPA is looking out for their members but honestly when you look at the product on the field their efforts have made it objectively worse. By limiting practices, in particular full contact practices, the NFLPA is directly responsible for the lower quality of play that we see week in and week out. If they decide to take up the cause of the playing surface I can only assume that they will find a way to fug it up too. And Im a very pro-union guy. Just in the case of the NFLPA I think they have had a long run of extremely myopic leadership.

I really wish I could get that time back. I wont go so far as to say it was bad but it was pretty predictable and about 3 episodes too long.
