Ben had already been accused a few times by that point, not to mention Ben hadn't already been deactivated 17 games the season before. It's possible he gets suspended, but I think the NFLPA will have something to say about it. Rice got punished twice, and the NFL ended up with egg on their face because of it. I don't know if they are going to want to make that mistake again. Who knows though.

If she has been MIA since November, that doesn't exactly lend more credibility to the prosecution's case. Certainly it is possible that he paid her to go away, but this case sounds like it was bullshit from the beginning honestly.

You can't just lump every imperfect kid coming out of college in with Ray Rice and Josh Gordon. That is not a one size fits all. There have been players the last few years with the kind of question marks you are talking about who were able to turn it around. If you operate with that kind of mentality then you are likely to miss out on some potentially good prospects. Not everyone is Josh Gordon. Oh hey cutie, I've missed you. Kisses.

Just busting your chops a bit, no worries. The Panthers have only been around 20 years, but compared to some of the older franchises who didn't do jackshit within their first 20, Carolina fans are lucky to have several playoff appearances/division titles, and being one kick away from a SB victory in the first 8 years. It certainly could have been much worse. We have the right GM now who knows how to build from within via the draft, that was one of our biggest problems for years.

It's always worth a good laugh when the fan of a franchise who has been around since the mid 70's talks poo about lack of playoff success to a younger franchise. At one point the Seahawks had the longest playoff win drought in history, dating back to the 1980's. Just saying.

No matter who the player is, Mr. Scot is always in one of these threads telling us what sort of villain the guy is. Come on off your high horse already man. He hasn't even entered the NFL yet, you cannot write his future.

As someone else said, it depends entirely on who the replacement is. In regards to the comments about Newton being a "middle of the pack" QB, anyone who genuinely believes that is not even worth conversing with. Look where this franchise was before Cam and Luke came along. They are both extremely important to the success of this franchise.

6 blowout losses in 10 games isn't exactly doing well. Yes we picked things back up after our division crumbled around us, and beat some bad teams, but the upcoming 2015 season will be the ultimate and final test for Ron as the head coach of this football team moving forward. We have bigger concerns than Hardy honestly. Everything hinges on Rivera, in my opinion at least.

Yeah I'm happy we got a playoff win, but if you aren't concerned with 6 blowout losses in one season, you're lying to yourself. None of this will matter, Hardy included, if Ron Rivera shows up to start the 2015 season having learned nothing from his mistakes again.

Some of you guys are trying a little too hard to put lipstick on a pig. We got absolutely crushed at times last year. Those blowout losses seem to have been long forgotten. There were way too many of them.

We had two wins last season against teams with winning records. One of those was in the playoffs. Yeah I think we could get by without Hardy, but I think saying we are better off is a bit of a stretch.

Before the Ray Rice fiasco came out I thought Hardy had a somewhat decent chance to redeem himself. Obviously that changed. I don't know if Greg is guilty or not, doesn't really matter if he is or isn't at this point. I'm not saying you are literally "hating" on him like some others have mentioned here, but I'm just gonna tell you straight up because I like you and this place. You might want to ease up some. It's a bit hypocritical considering you personally rolled out the red carpet for him.

Kind of ironic how sour Jeremy is on the Hardy subject considering how the mods here practically kissed his ass when he made an account. Oh how things change.
