  1. Well he is the owner, lol. It doesn't really make any difference who started the thread.
  2. I see no reason not to at least make him a very reasonable offer.
  3. I heard he only poops outdoors and wipes his butt with whatever he can find nearby.
  4. It was inevitable. I wish him well.
  5. All are very good candidates. If I had to pick just one I would go with Monsta.
  6. Exacly. This is what Florio does, he knows as much as people here on the huddle, pretty much nothing.
  7. These are almost getting as bad as the Panthers gameday threads.
  8. I'm not very familiar with Werner, but he plays defense, and my entire point was speaking to the offensive side of the ball. Edit: Ahmad Bradshaw reworked his deal for less than 900k, he's gone this year anyway. The Colts did have some dropped passes last year, but they still had a number of weapons and put up a lot of yards. Hilton is one of the league's best WR's. I still say the Colts tanked the crap out of that season with Curtis Painter. They knew their only chance was Andrew Luck.
  9. I wouldn't put him with Hurney lol. Aside from that trade, he seems to have done okay for the most part. If the only other blunder you can come up with is Hakeem Nicks on a one year deal for 4 million and 500 yards/5 TD's, you may be reaching just a bit.
  10. Al didn't lose the game, the Hornets did, in the same fashion they always do. Al played a part in the loss, but it isn't all on him.
  11. Where are all these people who are supposedly saying we should just give Newton a "blank check"? I'm not seeing them.
  12. I'll give you the Richardson trade. But giving up a first rounder shows you just how much they want to build around Luck. It took the Panthers 4 years just to draft Newton a competent OG and WR. Fleener put up like 800 yards, and 8 TD's. I wasn't insinuating he was elite or something, but he is a good weapon for Luck clearly.
  13. The Patriots are a machine. They traded away Logan Mankins and still won the Super Bowl.
  14. I don't think you can throw just any QB behind center in Indy, but those saying that the Colts haven't done a good job building around Luck are delusional. They drafted offensive line, T.Y. Hilton, Fleener, etc in just his first year alone, and they've continued doing so.
  15. I like Mo Williams. Damn you guys are ruthless about Al, lol 20 points and 12 rebounds.. "HE SUCKS!!!".
  16. As far as DA goes, he managed to squeak out a few wins against the worst team in the NFL. He almost got hurt in the second one. Do people honestly think we could have kept him healthy all season behind that OL against the better teams in the NFL?
  17. I agree with most of what Zod is saying in here. As for one QB being paid more than another, Wilson has a ring, so he's going to be paid the most in all likelihood. If you want to be competely real, how well we are able to draft from here on out is more important than how much we give Newton. Before Gettleman got here we didn't do enough to successfully build around Cam through the draft, especially being under a rookie contract. Oh, and Dex. When stirs, who has been talking endless poo about Newton since before we drafted him is agreeing with you, well...
  18. You may be taking the BPA thing a bit too literally. I'm fine with his approach. We've seen what drafting for need and being desperate to fill a position has done to a franchise.
  19. Do you really believe that Newton has hit his ceiling at age 25? That's a joke right? The Panthers haven't had a 1,000 yard rusher since 2009 btw.
  20. I mean, I admit DGB has some things to work on, but... Hitler?
  21. Newton's efficiency was actually either consistent or improving his first 3 seasons before his fourth season when he had his entire WR core gutted, offseason ankle surgery, a rib injury, a back injury, and one of the worst starting OL's in the history of the franchise Common sense should dictate that one season with the above factors should not be regarded as the norm. Unless you're an idiot. Given a whole offseason to actually have the opportunity to get healthy and develop a rapport with his receivers will help tremendously.
