  1. The whole quarterback ranking idea in general amongst fans is a joke anyways. Everyone has their biases, and allegiances to certain teams. From all this guys tweets about Newton, it seems he has an obvious axe to grind.
  2. Well if Brooklyn Bully hates the idea then it must be great.
  3. Haplo must have done an 8 ball before he got on the huddle. I don't much mind his trolling.
  4. If Lafell was so good, he would still be here. He didn't want to be the main guy. He said it himself. Shockey? He was here one season. Olsen was a superb acquisition that for all the grief Hurney receives, is clearly one of the best moves in franchise history. Steve Smith? Obviously gone, in the same year that we cut him and every other Panthers WR. When did the Panthers do that to Delhomme? Good but not double trouble (Newton never had them in their prime)? The Panthers literally just about rode Stephen Davis to the Super Bowl. The Panthers have not had a 1,000 yard rusher since 2009. You somehow see a "man crush", the fug does that have to do with anything? I see the complete picture. We're still building. We won 2 damn games the year before drafting Newton, and our defense practically had to be rebuilt from scratch through Newton's first season.
  5. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post, but are you arguing that Wilson bailed his team out in that game? The Seattle defense held Aaron Rodgers to 1 TD and 2 INT's with a 55.8 QB rating, and Lynch put up 183 yards himself. Wilson had 4 INT's, and a 44.3 QB rating. You take Lynch and the Seattle secondary out of that game, and Wilson isn't even playing in a second Super Bowl to throw that game ending interception.
  6. You can't just compare those wins/losses in a vacuum, that is being incredibly obtuse. The Panthers as a franchise were pretty different talent wise at the beginning and throughout each QB's career here. Jake basically walked into having Steve Smith and Muhsin Muhammad at WR in their primes to grow with to start his career with the Panthers. We weren't able to draft Newton an offensive starter to grow with (Kelvin Benjamin) literally until his 4th season, and that was the same season we gutted the entire WR core. Your last comment at the end about Superman tells me exactly where your head is on this. It's the same tired bullshit we see on the Panthers facebook page day in and day out from Panthers "fans" telling Newton to get that towel off his head, to stop sulking, and to stop celebrating so much.
  7. I think the "but still" line at the end is pretty telling on whether or not he was actually joking, or is just trying to save face now.
  8. Considering we still haven't had a 1,000 yard RB since Cam has been here, this idea that we could have just inserted Wilson behind center here and coasted to a Super Bowl is dubious at best. If Wilson isn't bringing Lynch or that secondary along with him, we can pretty much squash this right now.
  9. That's your argument? Well let's take a look at that for a moment. Delhomme: 7 seasons with the Panthers. Newton: 4 seasons with the Panthers. Cam, why don't you have more wins!? I'm trying to be really really nice to you right now, but I want to you read this post as many times as possible so you can realize just how absurd your post was.
  10. There are actually still Panthers fans out there trying to prop up Delhomme after all these years? lol. It took half a fugging decade to wash that stench off this franchise that was the Arizona debacle.
  11. There is a reason Seattle extended their 29 year old running back before their "Super Bowl winning QB".
  12. Offense? I thought we were discussing "the most dominant defensive player the league has ever seen".
  13. Watt has 1 career interception, and 1 defensive touchdown. GAME CHANGER.
  14. Someone said something mean? Oh that's terrible. Let me tell you something about those "many other people that watch the NFL", a large portion of them are bandwagon morons who merely go on name recognition versus actually knowing anything about a player, particularly ones who play opposite their favorite football team. I think Watt is a damn good football player, he may be a "game changer", but that doesn't necessarily = overall success (33-31) as Texans fans can tell you. Are you seriously referencing a message board poll to back up your opinion? I vaguely recall that thread, and it was a split if anything. Luke isn't just the best LB in the game, he's the best middle line backer. I assume, or at least hope that you know the difference.
  15. I think that gif might have been edgy about 5 years ago. Based on your commentary about this, and our OL in another thread, I don't think this is about being a homer, it's simply a complete lack of understanding on your part.
  16. At this point nctarheel0619 is reaching PanthersUnited level of idiotic posting.
  17. Dude sounds like greased up deaf guy from Family Guy trying to rap.
  18. Midwood Smokehouse is banging. Mac's Speedshop was good the first time I went there some years ago, then one day I took some friends there after talking the place up and everyone was underwhelmed. Never again.
  19. From what I recall, things started going downhill week 3. I don't know what the definition of "same offensive line" is to you, but different starting lineups is not the "same offensive line". I'm not sure if you are completely understanding the importance of guys developing chemistry with one another on the OL, but it's pretty critical to the success of an offense, and we had several different lineups by the end of the season.
  20. Considering we had what was it, 7 or 8 different lineups on the OL by week 10, I would say your notion that people are overstating the injuries is silly at best.
  21. Only obviously going on the information you provided here, pressing charges against someone's grandmother in this instance seems excessive.
