He seems charismatic, energetic, former nfl player, relatable, young. Doesn’t look like a joke of a guy that should be in one of those movie/cartoon hybrids like Roger Rabbit or Space Jam (Matt Rhule) and plus you have the tangibles, his track record as a great defensive coordinator. Exactly what we need!

ELITE COACHING matters…. Brian DaBallz
panthersgreenville replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I see people saying that he would have been our coach if we fired Rhule.. Is there anything supporting this at all?!? We’re there any reports he wanted to coach for us? Do him and Tepper have ties?! Remember, Rhule was inches away from going to the Giants because it’s a bigger and more desirable market, people just assume he would have coached here instead of the Giants, especially considering he was already in Buffalo. Why would he have chosen us over the Giants?’ I just don’t get how people are 100% sure he would have been our coach. -
Graziano: "Lots of buzz" Panthers could fire Rhule
panthersgreenville replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m calling it, he will be fired after the Bucs game and we fall to 1-6. I think Tepper is waiting until he is absolutely sure playoffs are out of the question and we are beyond the point of no return. 1-6 does it. -
Why wouldn’t he be? Both were very popular Governors of major states, both are very conservative with magnetic and charismatic personalities and both had the special ability of connecting with and speaking to the everyday average Joe. There is no doubt that he just might be the best Republican candidate the party has seen since Reagan.

I just went and looked, remember that “omg, the hardest schedule ever!!! talk” we kept talking about at the start of the season?!? Well get this, only ONE team (yes, just one) on our entire schedule are above .500. Which one is it? The Broncos, I mean obviously they have the $250 million all guaranteed GOAT at QB, so it HAS to be them right?! WRONG! Oh, duh, Tom Brady led Bucs, right?! Guess again. Wow, ok the Rams?! Or I know, the Bengals! Has to be the Bengals?! Or no, scratch that, the 49ers or the Ravens!! I mean one has Lamar Jackson and the other upset Aaron Rodgers last year and made the NFCCG!! Nope, nada and negative to all of the above. Its.. The Giants!! Yes, believe it or not, that impossibly tough schedule we were originally talking about, so far it’s the lowly Giants who are at 3-1 while all other “elite teams” are just one game above us in the W/L department. I have to say, while yes we are completely inept team that can do nothing right aside from ok defense, this season is so weird and flukey, it wouldn’t totally shock me if we magically went on some run to finish 8-9 and make the wild card or something.

Shenault expects to miss a couple weeks

Good, I’ll take anything that inches us closer to that top 2 pick -
For the love of god, can we FINALLY hire and offensive minded head coach since there is a 99% chance we get a top 5 pick (I’m thinking top 2 honestly) and a 99% chance we go QB?! Sure we had reasonable success with Rivera/Cam, but could you imagine a Cam led Panthers with say a Sean Mcvay, Doug Pederson or Andy Reid? We would have a perennial playoff contending dynasty. The last thing we need is another Dan Quinn or another conservative minded defensive coordinator that doesn’t value offense to pair with a potential franchise QB like CJ Stroud. I think Dorsey for HC and CJ Stroud for QB is recipe for sustained success.

Not awful.. 43-42 total w/l record, a super bowl appearance and 3-2 record in the playoffs. We could do way worse

Whelp he is here for another week.

I SUPPORT the TANK-A-THON, do you
panthersgreenville replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Absolutely but not for Bryce Young, he is an inch shorter than Mayfield and Mayfield has given me little person PTSD. Stroud or Levis please -
I mentioned it before, but we get to keep our 5th rounder provided he doesn’t play more than 70% of snaps.. But besides that, it’s gotten so bad with Baker, I’m starting to think he isn’t even a capable backup at this point and PJ Walker is at least a wild card with more upside and knows the offense way better. Is he even worth a roster spot at this point when we can easily roll with Sam and PJ. There is no way Fitt is going to lose that 5th rounder by having Baker play more snaps, so it begs the question.. What exactly is Baker’s role here?
