And AJ Green is likely out
-
Our two losses came against teams who are a combined 4-2 and we lost one of those due to some TERRIBLE officiating at the end. Skip is an idiot but the other day he said that no team in the history of the nfl has ever lost two consecutive games by 57 yd field goals in the final seconds. Never. I guess my point being is the giants and browns aren’t as bad as we originally thought and neither are we. There is a lot better case to be made that we should be 3-0 right now and the Cardinals should be 0-3.

Give me some hope. Can this offense be turned around?
panthersgreenville replied to Khaki Lackey's topic in Carolina Panthers
How funny would it be if Sam starts and leads us to the playoffs and Rhule gets the last laugh since Rhule always liked Sam better anyway. -
Cardinals and 49ers are both 1-2 just like we are.. The Rams after getting blown out by the Bills on their home turf opening night have only won their two games by a combined 12 pts and one of their wins was only by 4 pts against a lowly Atlanta team that almost made a comeback and beat them on their home turf. Then you have the Broncos who everyone thought would be elite with the $250 million golden boy Russell Wilson. Yea they are 2-1 but their two wins are by a combined 9 pts and they lost to the lowly Seahawks by 1 pt and beat the awful Texans by 7 pts and they barely squeaked out a win last night against the 49ers by a mere 1 pt. Truth be told, if you were to ask me three weeks ago, I would have said that these 4 games were ALL guaranteed losses for us, but I have to be honest, there is a legit chance we could now at least split 2-2 against them. The Ravens on their other hand, yea that’s going to be an L. But a case can be made that the Rams, 9ers, Broncos and Cardinals aren’t as elite as originally thought a few weeks ago. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not way implying they are bad, far from it, but none of these 4 teams I would consider on the level as the Chiefs or Packers elite.

I will say this, the “elite” teams we are facing over the next 5 weeks do look a tad suspect and not as unbeatable as they seems a few weeks ago
-
But for us in particular it’s the difference between bottom dwellers and contenders. Literally the only thing this team is missing is a passing game. special teams? Check. Great D? Check. Reliable kicker? Check. Stout and reliable running game? Check. we wouldn’t even need an elite passing game, if we could simply just become an average passing team, that would be enough with our D and run game. We don’t need baker to be Brady or rodgers, if he could simply be a Kirk Cousins, that’s all we would need from him.
-
I know, it’s a meme at this point, but if somehow, some way Baker could just snap out of this funk or whatever it is he is going through and start playing better and if Mcadoo can figure out some way to call better plays, we would be so damn unstoppable with this defense that we have. I will say that we do at least seem to fix glaring bad spots. The first two weeks we had a lot of fumbled snaps and a lot of batted passes, we seemed to fix those issues. I don’t know what it’s going to take, maybe Shinault will be that missing piece that jump starts is, because Baker and DJ Moore just don’t seem to click, if we can just get somewhat better at the passing game to go along with our stout running game les by CMC and our D keeps playing at this level, there is absolutely no reason for us to not be a contender.

I agree, it’s putrid. Awful, I really want to see Sam back with a healthy CMC, I’ve said it once I’ll say it again, Baker has yet to have a game anywhere near the level Sam had his first three outings last year, it seems like Baker is just regressing and getting worse each week -

I really hope we strongly consider starting Sam and soon. At least Sam had some very solid games last year and shows he can play, Baker has shown no flashes whatsoever, he is awful, just awful -

This is still a very bad football team. The offense is so bad that it outweighs our bad offense. No teams will fear us whatsoever with Baker at QB. This is still a 3-14 team at best -

At this point Baker isn’t even a serviceable back up, I would cut him and have Sam start at this point and have PJ be our back up, it’s clear Baker has no fire and no desire to be here. He is a liability -

We will blow the Saints out today, trust me on this, I know things. I’m not being sarcastic or funny, I just know a thing or two about a thing or a two. -
“Are the Panthers becoming perennial Losers?”
panthersgreenville replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly, I think people give too much blame/credit when it comes to owners. At the end of the day owners don’t possess this 6th sense and know exactly what potential new head coaches are going to be the next Vince Lombardi or the next.. well the next Rhule. Its not an owner who builds a team, signs and picks Free Agents, drafts and scouts players, coaches players to be their best, manage and coach in game situations, call plays etc etc. An owner is only as good as the GM/Scouts/Head Coaches/players/coaching staff etc. Tepper hasn’t really done anything different than other owners have done, it just so happened the head coach he hired didn’t pan out, it happens, on to the next one. I just can’t pinpoint a “smoking gun” to point to and say Tepper has been a bad owner. -
The Hottest Seat in the NFL - Canfora on Rhule
panthersgreenville replied to Paa Langfart's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our turnaround starts tomorrow after we blowout the Saints and go on a run to finish 10-7 and make the playoffs. Book it, I have special abilities to predict these things and not only are we winning tomorrow but we are going to blow the Saints out of the water, hold me to this if you want.- 54 replies

Panthers were one pick away from Justin Herbert...
panthersgreenville replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
He would have been bust under this coaching staff, we could have Tom Brady and trust me, we would have found a way to mess things up and have losing seasons, even with TB12 -
Who's watching Sunday's 9/25 game?
panthersgreenville replied to Tomcatn's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will, one great thing about the NFL is it’s always interesting no matter if your team is losing or winning. If they are losing, you watch in hopes they will lose to secure a better draft position and fire incompetence coaching and your imagination runs wild with hope for a better tomorrow. if they are winning, you get the thrill of seeing if they will make the super bowl and make that fantasy run to the super bowl. Either way win/win -
Agreed, I hate that Elon didn’t end up buying them out

I don’t get it man, when I watch other NFL teams play, they just look like they are in a different league than us, they make it look so easy, watching the Browns tonight and Brissett just tossing the football and being highly accurate, and so effortlessly. Then when I watch us play, it literally just looks like the panthers are a group of middle aged guys getting together after work to play a harmlesss game of football while the grill is sizzling burgers in the background.
