  1. I must say, between Fields looking like a bust and Bryce Young’s size, I’m starting to warm up to the idea of just rolling with Corral next year and see what we have instead of going with Stroud or Young.
  2. True but we are staring 1-6 right in the face with the Rams then the Bucs next week and after that against a underrated Falcons team, do we really want to win a lot of meaningless games after being 1-6 or 1-7 and screw our draft position?!
  3. To be honest I’m also a little bias because I’m definitely in the full on tank camp. I know the odds and yes I know a lot of franchise QBs are picked later in the 1st round, but simple logic still says that it would be better to have your pick of any player you wanted in the draft as opposed to falling to the top 10 and having to wish and hope.
  4. Im as thrilled as anybody that Rhule is gone, beyond ecstatic. I am seeing a lot of expectations from the fan base that Wilks is possibly the answer and he will even do so well that he becomes our new HC, don’t get me wrong I like him, I love the story and I would love to see that happen. But we have to look at facts, we fired Rhule and replaced him with a HC that has a 3-13 record as a HC, starting a 3rd string QB who has 2 TDs 8 ints his time here, with a defense that is banged up and playing under a brand new interim DC. On top of all this, we are facing a Rams team in a West Coast game across the country that is desperate to be back at .500 before they have their bye week. We are currently 10 point underdogs according to Vegas and they are rarely wrong. My guess is it will look promising and close the first QTR or 2 but will get out of control fast.
  5. I mean most billionaires are, a chick I’m currently sleeping with used to work for Amazon HQ in WA or wherever it is, and she has some stories about golden boy Bezos
  6. People that think this team would have gone places with Stafford are straight up delusional. With Stafford’s injury history, he would have been IRd in no time and hell maybe even retired completely right now at this point given our O line that was in shambles. I mean Jesus Christ, we literally lost two QBs in one game during pre season due to injury Darnold and Corral. Scratch that, we lost two QBs in one half! Even if that wasn’t the case, we still had Joe Brady and Matt Rhule so we would have likely still had a losing record. Too many people have this NBA mentality when it comes to the NFL, this isn’t the NBA where all you have to do is sign one superstar like Lebron James then it’s off to the super bowl. There are sooo many moving parts to an NFL team and what it takes to be successful that most of our minds can’t even comprehend. If we ended up getting Stafford, we would have been a 8-8 team AT BEST with our O line and coaching at the time and hell, that’s assuming he would have stayed healthy all season behind our putrid O line at the time. Now Stafford behind this O line we have now?! You MIGHT have a case we would have a winning record, but again, would he have survived up until this point had he signed with us?!
  7. Stubborn, kind of a d*ick, doesn’t seem all that engaged or desire to really be here. Doesn’t seem to learn or grow from his mistakes on the field at all, gives cringe and awkward pressers at times. Only gets a pass due to his somewhat reasonable success he has had elsewhere. Am I missing something here?
  8. I get it, I like Wilks as a person and the story would be amazing if he somehow does this, but I think he is being overestimated here. At the end of the day he was HC of a Cardinals team that finished last in the league under him and now he gets to coach a panthers team with PJ walker at QB, Ben Mcadoo at OC, a litany of key injuries on D and still a very tough schedule.
  9. I agree with him 100%, an NFL team is an extremely HUGE machine with a ton of intricate moving parts. When you think about, an actual NFL team hierarchy is every team has 4 head coaches. You have the actual head coach, the CEO, he needs to be a natural born leader and visionary. Then under him you have the offensive coordinator which is like the CFO, he is in effect the head coach of the offense, the offense in and of itself is a it’s own team and the OC is pretty much the Head Coach of said team (the offense) Same exact thing with the defense, the DC is like the COO (Chief Operating Officer) and the defensive unit is like it’s own team and the DC is like the head coach of the entire defense. Don’t even get me started that under the DC and OC are coaches under them.. You have QB coach, O line Coach, D line coach etc etc. The bottom line is there are a ton and I mean a TON of moving parts to an NFL football team and while I’m not absolving Rhule in any way shape or form, I will say that it does run deeper than just one man.
  10. Unless you can get say a 2nd and 4th and a 2nd and 5th for each Moore and CMC, essentially 4 picks for two players, it would be pointless to trade them for a late first rounder and just one pick. ok so say you trade CMC to the bills for a “first round draft pick.” Woo hoo, we now have two first round draft picks, profit!! Not exactly, that will be anywhere from pick 28-32, ok so now we have a big gaping hole to fill at RB with CMC gone. How do we fill that hole?! What FA RB is out there that matches what CMC can do? Or what RB prospect are you going to get at pick 31 or 32 to come close to the player CMC is? Same exact logic for Moore. You trade DJ Moore, you now have a big void at WR you now have to fill. Are you filling that in FA? Is this a deep enough draft class to get a stud WR at picks 28-32?! Now two picks for each player at least makes more sense value wise because you can address more needs. But trading straight up for just a late first round pick.. dumb.
  11. Exactly, and remember at the time when he took over, we as fans wanted the Anti JR and that’s exactly what he did by making an exciting splash by hiring a college coach. I think he has learned from his mistake
  12. So I see Tepper getting a lot of hate but I have to say, I think it’s unwarranted. First off, let’s address the biggest elephant in the room. Matt Rhule, as absolutely bad of a head coach he is, I can guarantee that a vast majority if not all owners have hired there own Matt Rhule at one point or another before finally finding their Harbaugh, or Bellicheck or Mcvay. And yes, $70 million was a joke of a contract but at the end of the day, it didn’t effect the team’s cap whatsoever so who cares if what Tepper spent his own money on to make a splash?! So what else?! Replaced grass with turf?! Ok, I mean it’s not ideal but the Rams, Cardinals, Saints, Falcons among others also play on Turf and some of those teams have had sustained success and even won Super Bowls. Failed to get the rock hill thing done?’ Again, ok but honestly, why do is fans care so much?! It’s not a huge deal. Players and people that work for him seem to like him ok, he’s not a racist or sexual predator and contrary to rumors and speculation he doesn’t seem to be super meddling like say a Jerry Jones or someone. Is there something I’m totally missing?
  13. Ok I’m just going to say it, is PJ Walker really that bad?! I dunno, I see him during pre season and he plays with passion and seems to really throw darts in between tight windows and the offense seems to move fast and fluid with him in there. Or am I seeing things here?! EDIT:: Nvm. I just went and looked at his stats, 2 TDs to 8 ints his time with us. Yikes, ok nothing to see here
  14. There is absolutely nothing indicating Wilks should remain, he was absolutely awful in AZ, I mean sure, we go on a run and finish 13-4, by all means keep him. But barring that, I just don’t see it
  15. I would have fired Mcadoo over Snow, this is interesting.
  16. I would have fired Mcadoo over Snow, this is interesting
  17. Keep in mind, people seem to forget that Hurney was still GM be also played a sizeable part in Rhule being here.
  18. Not to be a cynic but the amount of hell fire that would come raining down on Tepper from the “if Matt Rhule was black, he would have been fired after year one” crowd in the media might just be enough to force Tepper’s hand if he likes it or not. You better believe it Rhule somehow didn’t get fired if we go 1-16, Stephen A and a lot of others in the media would start bringing race in the equation. I can see it now. “Black assistants and coordinators aren’t getting head coaching jobs but Matt Rhule still has a job.” im not a fan of bringing the race card up, but if that’s what it takes to get Rhule fired, I’m all for it.
  19. Personally I like Levis, Young is too short and does Bama have a history of good NFL QBs? And Stroud is solid but OSU QBs and the fact him and Justin Fields had very similar stats in college has me concerned. I like Levis because he has a monster arm, he’s a bit older and more mature (24 or will he soon) and will be more pro ready from day 1 and he is built and wouldn’t need to spend time bulking up since he’s already there
  20. So it’s as clear as day that this season is lost as far as playoffs are concerned but turn that frown upside down because now a new type of playoffs has emerged, and that is the path to the number 1 overall pick. So who has made these “playoffs” so far.. Well it’s us, Commanders, Lions, Steelers and Texans. In my opinion, if I was a betting man, one of these teams are going to win the “no 1 pick super bowl.” So who is our biggest threat? Well for starters, the Steelers don’t scare me at all simply because even if they get the no 1 pick and say we get no 2, it’s no biggie because they won’t take another QB in the first round after drafting Pickett anyway despite his struggles. We are most definitely taking one though. I mean sure, they “could” but the Steelers just don’t strike me as a team like the Jets or Browns to take two QBs no 1 overall. So scratch the Steelers as being an enemy. If I had to choose the next team I’m not so worried about, it’s the Texans but for a different reason. Two big things going for us when it comes to the Texans A. SOS tie breakers and B. They have a tie in their w/l record which means even if they lose out and so do we A. We already beat them with SOS but even if that changes, that tie would mean we would have more actual losses and thus we would leap frog them anyway. Which brings us to our last two teams, the Lions and Commanders. These are two teams that would definitely take a QB so if they somehow get picks 1 and 2 and we get 3, while it would suck, it still wouldn’t necessarily be a disaster because luckily for us, we picked a good year to have a bad year considering there are 3 legit QBs in this draft between Stroud, Young and Levis. In fact draft experts can’t even decide who should go no 1 between the three of them because they are all three great prospects. Also, a big wild card in all this is while it would have been great if the Lions and Commanders played each other (they don’t) we do actually play the Lions toward the end of the year, so we do control our own destiny in that regard by simply losing to them. In summary, yes, this is the NFL and sooo many variables and so much can happen, but 5 games in this is where we stand and as long as we can just stay in that top 3, we will still be in good position to nab a potential franchise QB.
  21. I hope so, the fact it’s us, the lions and Steelers with the top 3 picks had me concerned we will mess up and beat one of them. I’m not that concerned with the Steelers because if they get the no 1 pick I don’t see them taking another QB, but the Lions def would
  22. And we play both the Steelers and the lions at the end of the year, things can get real interesting real fast if all three of us stay in the current trajectory and keep losing out.
  23. Honestly guys, he is going to get fired, it’s a guarantee at this point. I know we like to rag on Tepper and joke he will keep Rhule around, but we all know he won’t. At this point all we can do is watch games and other teams and keep hoping we keep that no 1 overall pick on lock down and also debate about new head coaching potentials.
