Jones: Tepper now looking for "a young offensive mind"
panthersgreenville replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thank god, we need to draft a offensive minded HC to pair with our new QB we draft at no 1. Not make the mistake of drafting a conservative minded Ron to pair with Cam like we did. -
We are the only team in the NFL with 5 losses
panthersgreenville replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’ve noticed that also, it’s strange, go look at nearly all mock drafts and they have us picking like 5th or 6th lol. Like bro, what games do we win to drop to the 5th or 6th picks?! -
Time to take a step back..(reality check)
panthersgreenville replied to Doc Holiday's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed, I’ve already said it, but losing out just doesn’t get us the first overall pick, it also gets us the first pick in each of the rounds we will drafting in. If we get the number 1 pick we will also get the first picks in the 2nd, 5th and 6th -
Devil’s advocate here, but I do find it funny that now I’m seeing a lot of fans blame WRs, the OC and the QB now that Rhule is gone.. I’m by no means a Rhule fan or apologists, but when Rhule was here everyone solely blamed him and him alone but now that Wilks is out there, it’s suddenly the players and OC faults

Here I go again, getting my hopes up yet again only to likely be let down when he plays next week and throws like 4 picks.. But man, I would be lying if I said he didn’t look miles better than PJ. Yes against a soft, garbage time defense but even still, 6 foot freaking 6 and he was slinging darts, it wasn’t only that but he seemed to pass the eye test, looked comfortable and not scared and showed good poise in the pocket. Just some perspective, he basically had more passing yds (or close to it) in 30 seconds then PJ had all game.

Give me your best overview of today's game.

Eason looked miles better than PJ and hope he gets the start next. He is 6 freaking 6 for god sakes and was throwing darts. He had more passing yds in 30 seconds then PJ had all game -
So who is better, Stroud or Young?
panthersgreenville replied to Randolph Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Meh I doubt it, too many variables. Ok if they don’t want to play for the panthers, what team do they want to play for exactly?’ And how do they know said team will be picking no 1?! And are they really willing to gamble staying in school another year and risking injury or drop off in performance hence hurting their stock when they can make multi millions guaranteed by declaring now and going no 1?! To my knowledge it’s only happened one time when Eli refused to play for the chargers and requested a trade. -
Just embrace it… take the L’s and let’s get the #1 pick
panthersgreenville replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
The rigged (yes, I’m in that camp) RIGGGED NBA lottery system will never allow the hornets get no 1 overall pick, will always go to the next biggest media market. -
I’m sure Giants fans have been saying the same exact thing for the last 5 or so years now and voila, now look where they are. We need a good HC and good QB and we are legit

Agreed 100%, what people fail to realize is it’s not just the no 1 overall pick, but it’s also getting the number 1 pick in all the rounds you are picking in. Grant it we only have four picks this year but we will have the no 1 pick both in rounds 1 and 2 and 4 and 6 which could be huge. -
Official Panthers at Rams GameDay Thread

On general principle, as a leader and HC you NEVER show a complete lack of faith and confidence like he just did there. -

1-8. Angry Bucs team next team next week on their home turf, then the surprisingly good Falcons and then the Ravens.. -

Wilks showed me exactly who I thought he was the final minutes of half time.. Not using a single time out when we had all three left with nearly 2 mins left.. Get him out of here. I’ve seen enough -
Ok so here is some real talk, it makes ZERO sense to waste time and energy complaining about Tepper, he isn’t going anywhere, he is the owner, unless he decides to sell which isn’t happening or some accusations of racist e-mails surface, he IS our owner. All you can hope for is he learned his lesson and will now hire the right people next Time.

PJ is not sustainable, it a team gets a 10 or lead, there is no way we come back with OJ Walker not able to throw the ball forward. -

I hope to god Darnold is back next week. PJ Walker is not a NFL QB period, he’s The Golden Calf of Bristol, pure and simple. At the very least, Darnold can actually throw the ball past the LOS -
Another zinger from Scott Fowler
panthersgreenville replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m on Tepper’s side here. Fug “journalists” and their sensationalism. I loved hearing Todd Bowles set that one reporter straight when she tried to virtue signal by asking him about race and facing Tomlin on Sunday and Bowles gave the perfect response.- 34 replies

I have to admit, I was told this QB class was amazing, but truth be told I don’t see a clear Andrew Luck or Cam Newton. Bryce Young, smaller than Baker, pass. Will Levis, high upside but very questionable in clutch or high pressure moments. CJ Stroud, his numbers look great but so did Justin Fields and Fields has looked awful. I have to be honest, I look at Corral and I look at this QB class, and the more I look the more I say we just roll with Corral next season and just draft BPA.

Tanking does not guarantee a good QB
panthersgreenville replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have to admit, I was on the tank bandwagon but after seeing Fields (OSU QB) look awful, it has gave me pause on Stroud, then you have Bryce young who is smaller than Baker, pass. Which leaves Will Levis who looks promising but has big question marks coming through in clutch moments. The more I look, the more I realize this draft doesn’t have a Andrew Luck or Cam Newton and truth be told, I really don’t see any QBs that stand night and day above Corral. -
I will say that one silver lining is with the exception of the Ravens, our remaining schedule seems easy. Even the Bucs look very vulnerable and if not for a BS roughing the passer call last week, Falcons likely come back and at least tie that game. Broncos look trash, Bengals look beatable then the Saints again, Falcons twice. The only sure fire loss I see left is the Ravens
-
That or get a legit WR in the 1st to pair with Moore since our WR corps has a huge drop off after Moore
-
And both of those are good QBs though. I lm looking at the “big 3” of QBs in this draft class and im really starting to wonder if any of them are that big of an upgrade over Corral to be honest.
