  1. I meant to put him on there and put the right side of the line in bold. I'm middle aged, technologly is baffling to me. Additionally, I may or may not have been doing this when I should have been "working"
  2. 4. I've noticed there is no game this year where they are giving out tickets for a blood drive. To me, that is a sign that ticket sales have gotten better. Take it for what its worth
  5. Who would you like to see us sign as a CB? Personally I would be happy with taking a chance on Ronald Darby or Troy Hill as a 3rd/4th CB option. I know Darby is coming off an ACL injury, but that was week 5, he should be good to go by training camp. Anyone else have any thoughts?
  6. WOW! That's an amazing concept. Big props for sharing that. I used to work in commercial construction back before the great recession, and I could only imagine what it would take to build something like that. No way that could be done in one offseason. The team would either have to relocate or build the stadium first. If I were in the local government, I'd push for a dollar for dollar match. If Tepper wants to get $1.2 Billion from taxpayers, he needs to match with his own $1.2 Billion. I could only imagine the potential for a new site at the Charlotte Pipe area off Graham St. The Panthers have had their eye on that land for a while. When that company got all the tax breaks and incentives to move to Oakboro our friends on Mint Street were very accommodating to the process. Maybe a new site could even include some easily accessible parking lots for a better tailgating experience. The only thing I hated about the construction of the new baseball field in Charlotte was it was built over the best area for tailgating.
  7. It's the Saints and it isn't even close. Atlanta is closer, so I see the temptation. A rival, a true rivalry emits true distain and hate. The Saints and Panthers truly, loathe each other. Bounty gate? All the cheap shots on Cam and Smitty? You ask any player which teams they hate from our division the most and I 100% will bet that it's the Aints
  8. Schedule Sept. 10: at Atlanta - Panthers win a tight game 27- 24 on the road (1-0) Sept. 18: vs. New Orleans (MNF) - Panthers get off to a red hot start. The ground game is the difference in this one 24-17 (2-0) Sept. 24: at Seattle - Trap game. Long trip after a short week. Panthers lay an egg. 20 - 17 bad guys. (2-1) Oct. 1: vs. Minnesota - Minnesota can score, but they still can't stop an improved offence. Real exciting game with an overtime finish 33-30 for the good guys. (3-1) Oct. 8: at Detroit - Detroit is a different team at home than on the road, however, the run game is strong with the black cats. Panther beats Lion 29 - 21. (4-1) Oct. 15: at Miami - An improved Miami defense takes advantage of a rookie Quarterback and a tired roster. If Tua lasts this long I give the fish a pre bye week brain fart. If Tua is hurt, we roll them. 35 - 27 Fish. (4-2) Oct. 22: BYE Oct. 29: vs. Houston - Houston is improved, but they are still Houston. C.J. may claim to have the armor of God surrounding him, but in reality he has a porous offensive line that can't protect him. Cats roll 24 - 17 (5-2) Nov. 5: Indianapolis - This game has been circled on the calendars as out guys are starting to gel and go get one for the new HC. Cats roll and give a HC who deserves a game ball a well deserved token of appreciation. Cats 35 - 17 (6-2) Nov. 9: at Chicago (TNF) - Chicago ain't it. We are better across the board. This would be an ugly letdown if anything other than a win happens here. Cats 24 - 10. (7-2) Nov. 19: vs. Dallas - I hate the cowboys. I'm honestly am glad we picked Rhule over McCarthy. My reason being, McCarthy would have succeeded just enough to keep him around. Anyway, we can't win them all, even at home. This is the only home game I see us giving away this year. Cowboys 28 - 17. (7-3) Nov. 26: at Tennessee - I really have respected what the Titans have been able to accomplish under Mike Vrabrel. Honestly, he doesn't get enough credit for his success. However, the Titans are on a down swing. By this time Will Levis is starting. Here is the difference between the two teams. Panthers are growing and getting better with their young QB. The titans only gave their young QB PT because their season is falling off the rails. Panthers fill their bellies on Thanksgiving off Nashville hot BBQ. Our defense is clicking not allowing more than 20 points since the bye week. 24-17 (8-3) Dec. 3: at Tampa Bay - Ascending Panthers beat rebuilding Bucs. Kyle isn't up to Trask for this one. Panthers win on the road 28 - 21. (9-3) Dec. 10: at New Orleans - You can't win them all. The Superdome will hopefully be much more forgiving and we don't lose any linemen to injury. Understandable road loss in the division. 24 - 17 (9-4) Dec. 16 or 17: vs. Atlanta - We protect the bank and get back on track after a bad loss. 33 - 17 (10 - 4) Dec. 24: vs. Green Bay - This game is a present for us. The Pack's defense can't win every game for GB. Jordan Love struggles against the Evero Special. 24 - 16 (11-4) Dec. 31: at Jacksonville - Great battle between two teams on the up and up. Bryce vs Sunshine (Trevor) becomes the friendliest rivalry between the two most goodie two shoe QB's in the league. Great back and forth game. Home team takes it. Bryce owes Trevor a box of Oreos and a Waffle House gift card off a friendly wager. 33- 30 (11 - 5) Jan. 6 or 7: vs. Tampa Bay - The Bucs have given up by this point. Third stringers are playing and they will hold a fire sale in the off season. Panthers secure the #3 seed in the playoffs with a big win at home. 35 - 10 (12-5) Playoffs - 1 - Philly , 2 - SF, 3 - CAR, 4 - DET WC Dallas, NYG, SEA, We beat NYG at home in the opening round. Lose to SF in the 2nd round.
  9. Looking at that document, which is amaizballs, I think we will have a week 9 BYE
  10. It stops him from moving the team to the North part of Charlotte or even Cabarrus County. There is land, infrastructure, and growth all up there. Imagine what could be done on all the extra land that is located around the Speedway. There is TONS of it.
  11. Unless he switches to CB..... How many safeties do we need? Chinn (S/LB) Woods (S) Bell (S) Franklin (S) Rowe (S) Dorn (S) Missed Opportunities
  12. If I'm Deonte Foreman I'm feeling like......
  13. I dislike the Eagles (personal bias against all bird based teams), but you can't help but like what they have been doing here. You take key members from an all time defense, who know how to play with each other and you have instantly created a culture of family and accountability. You just created 5 pillars of leadership on your defense to mix into seasoned veterans. It takes some serious variables out of the equation of team building.
  14. Would #114 get Chase Young? You know he isn't going back there in '24? If our second (#39) and our fourth (#114) got us Lucas Van Ness I'd consider it. He could be Watt level. I'd honestly trade back with Miami if they'd listen. Target a solid CB and zone in on Dereck Hall. Offer our picks #39 and #145 for Miami's #51, #94, and #197
  15. If we make the playoffs in a weak NFC South we are giving up at worst the 18th pick. I'm ok with that trade off
  16. I would love to see him in Carolina!!!!!
  17. The reason we have done so many restructures is that any unused cap space rolls over the following year. We likely aren't using about half of our room this season. That rolls over the following year, combined with the natural increase in the salary cap give us a huge boost year to year. If Burns signs an extension the year, and his salary cap figure drops for this season as well, that will help immensely. The cap is expected to increase over 30 million dollars. You save that extra 10-15 mill to roll over each year it either cancels out dead money or cancels out the salary of a upper tier player on your team. Having the rookie QB contract also saves us about 20 million per year. The new number for a MID QB is 30 million. I'd rather reach for a rookie than finance the likes of Jimmy G, David Carr, or Ryan Tannehill. If you run this scenario over the life of a rookie QB contract, once it is time for the rookie to resign, a few of the upper tier stars would have already been paid and are now at the point of diminished returns and will either accept lower contracts or move on past their prime to another team. Samir knows his stuff..... This ain't Marty-nomoics, this plan will work.
  18. Those would be AWESOME!!!!! I was given a Luke Jersey for Christmas one year. It's an official Nike version. I can hardly wear it because there is so much vinyl on the sleeves that I cannot move my arms. The Reebok ones were SOOOOOOOO much better! I'm planning on getting one for our new QB or Burns, whoever's contract is longer! I hope the fit (both literal and figurative) is improved.
