  1. I mean c'mon man. If there ever was a time to be excited. Now is it. Now is when we can visualize greatness and make believe we just may be that good. That better days are ahead. Cram your brain with superlatives and be prepared to ride to glory.
  2. Soooo...I take it you're not in the "We have a shot at the Playoffs" group?
  3. The staff says the are "Bullish" on Mays. We have Zanax (Or whatever his name is lol) and of course Colbert. Maybe they just feel comfortable with what they have?
  4. There has to be a reason he is still not playing? Money? Injury? Lost that lovin feeling?
  5. I think, now this is just my opinion. But, way too many people are stuck in the past. And that fear won't allow them to let the excitement in. In the back of their mind there will always be that voice telling them the sky is about to fall. Fingers crossed this season will usher in a new era in fan joviality.
  6. Probably because most folks don't agree with the "Razor thin Defense". Most think we have a shot at a top 10ish Defense. All we need from the Offense is to be steady and limit the turnovers.
  7. I think it all boils down to how well you think Cam threw the ball after the KB fiasco. I don't think he missed much time, nor did he lose any velocity until after the Watt hit. The first injury wasn't the career ender the second one was.
  8. I was under the impression that pissing matches were verboten. I guess it only matters if certain people are the ones enjoying themselves. And for the record, Cam's shoulder was ruined by Watt. Rivera is not a very good coach. Turner was the only coach to get anything close to an NFL QB out of Cam. And I would not want Rivera anywhere near Bryce. The Refs are not out to get us. And too many folks still living in the past.
  9. 2 days before the game it was "Just get out with no injuries". After the game it went to "This team is ass". You just got to love this place.
  10. Perfect example of how not to win friends and influence people. Carnegie would roll over in his grave after reading this ...
  11. lol Facts? Who needs facts. If I can think it, it just may be true. lol
  12. Years ago, before FA and football wasn't a full-time job. Preseason was basically for getting guys in shape, and maybe installing new plays. Then FA hit, and football became a full-time job. Preseason became more for evaluation. With roster turnover, and new Coaches every other year. Preseason has become more important. You want to see quality play, no stupid mistakes, and no injuries in todays' NFL. But it is still mostly for evaluations and installs more than anything else. If you have a young team, you may want to win a game or two. However, if you have an older, not old just established I guess is a better way to put it, team like ours has become, you want to see quality play. The Lions went 4-0 in preseason. Then proceeded to go winless. So, winning or losing isn't the main goal.
  13. Not sure why so many folks are misrepresenting our run D from last year. We were tied for 8th at 4.1 yards per carry. Sure, we can still improve on that number, but we were far from atrocious at stopping the run. NFL Team Defense Stats 2021-2022 - Points Against, Sacks & More (covers.com) Just another one of those things that once it gets put out there, folks just parrot it with no care whether it's right or not.
  14. It's not inconceivable that Bryce's contract could be in the 300mil range. That will take a chunk out of the ol salary cap.
  15. You aren't winning or losing because of that 53rd guy. Might as well be someone that COULD develop into an asset. It's just good bidness. If you don't want to try and stash him on the PS because he will get poached. You might as well keep him on the roster. Pretty much the only two options you have. I just don't get it. Just because our last coaching staff pooed the pooch, does not automatically mean our present coaching staff will make the same mistake.
  16. He's already here, he's damm cheap, and he does have talent. There is no reasonable reason to get rid of him. It really does not cost us much to see if we cannot develop him into something of value. I know folks around here are not used to hearing "Develop" and thinking that's something we do. But it is now.
  17. A very reasonable take if you ask me. Corral doesn't have to set the world on fire, he just needs to keep improving. Taking what they give him and giving 100% back. He's either going to be our backup QB, maybe traded for assets, or just sent packing. It is an interesting situation to be sure. My advice? Sit back and enjoy the show. Best case, he grows into something we can work with. Worst case, he doesn't.
  18. Could be worse. My wife loves to talk to me during sex. The other night she called me from a motel. Ba da bing.
  19. And the Fitts keep on coming. #1 in your hearts, and #1 on your dial.
