I think as a general rule you may be correct. However, there are some small ponds, and there are some large pools. So, although you may be correct in the literal sense, you are probably not 100% correct in reality.
-
Although I have no experience with either. I blame both Fantasy Football, and Madden.

Dang.. I guess we made a huge mistake?

Tanking is a fan thingy. NFL Football is a results driven occupation. You don't get results. You don't get to keep your job.

You appear to be the one not letting go. It's okay, the sun will come out tomorrow. Or the next day. Or sometime in the near future. I absolutely love this place. Some of you have no idea how much you enrich my life. It's truly better than tv. Most of the time anywho. It's obvious that some Huddlers take this far too cereal. It's entertainment folks. Enjoy it for what it is. A respite from all the craziness out there in the real world I tell ya what.

Don't give a crap about playing the victim. I just enjoy life. Not my fault there is an abundance of fuddy duddies up in here. And for the record. Some of my Bryce is short jokes were Gold.
-
How come when I make a bunch of Bryce is short jokes folks get upset with me? But some rando fan does it, and it's perfectly acceptable. I think I'm smelling a double standard here folks. lol

I love Tanks. I just don't believe they have a place on a football field.

Panthers signing Yannick Ngakoue?
Gerry Green replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wow, that turned ugly real fast there Carl. I thought we were having such a pleasant conversation. So what you are saying is; You made a statement that cannot possibly be quantified. And you expect us to take it as a truth, only on your word? lol That's a bold strategy there Cotton. -
Panthers signing Yannick Ngakoue?
Gerry Green replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well thanks for asking Carl. I guess I would use the Ol Stinkometer. If it smells like BS and looks like BS, it's probably BS. Or...we could get us a couple of summer Interns. Have them DM every Huddle member asking them which players they prefer. Either way, I'm pretty sure your statement will be proven false. But hey. at least it's not another Bryce thread right? -
Panthers signing Yannick Ngakoue?
Gerry Green replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
And just how would one go about quantifying such a hypothetical statement? A public poll? The ol Huddle eye test? Rock, paper scissors, lizard, Spock? -
Well thanks for the good vibes. Never have enough of those in the ol stash jar.

Another one falls into the trap that is Sam Darnold

Fans gonna fan, I tell ya what. -
Yes, yes you have.

I think you are blowing this all out of proportion. I don't foresee riots in the streets if Bryce doesn't start week one. Reread your posts on this page and point out anything positive. I was trying to show positive responses to your posts. It was worth a shot.
-
All I can go by is the language that you use. Farce, massively wrong, and posing questions about what ifs. And you always seem to jump to worse case scenarios. That's why I said you worry over all this. What do you see when you read your own posts? I mean, every post on this page has a negative connotation. That's what I see.

I'm more talking about practices. Can he take the classroom out onto the practice field? Can he get the plays in? Can he get everyone lined up? Can he hit his receivers in stride? Those types of things. FILO. First one in, last one out. Bryce will be this teams leader. When will that reign begin?
-
I know you are a worry-wart. But Bryce not stating day 1 is not the end of the world. Now if he is still not starting after say week 6? Then we may have something to worry over. We all expect him to be the starter. I do expect the coaches to do everything in their power to get him ready. We just have to hope for the best.
-
What happens if Bryce doesn't start, and Stroud and Richardson bomb? Point being. The staff have a plan for Bryce. If everything goes accordingly, Bryce should be our day 1 starter. However, there is still a possibility circumstance may get in the way of said process and other outcomes may arise, IMO, Bryce has done nothing to show what he is capable of doing. Can't we just wait until he does before we crown him? Or throw him under the bus, whichever one is most appropriate.
-
It's only a farce if he wins the job. There is a possibility of other outcomes. We all expect him to be the day 1 starter. Anything less would be a let-down considering where he was drafted and all. But if it takes a little while for him to get it. So be it. Dalton is more than capable of leading this team until Bryce is ready to take the reins. Short story long. The vets aren't going to follow him until he proves he can lead them. And as of right now? He hasn't had an opportunity to show them anything.

I'm 68 and just had my first really deep dive physical. Like you, I was rather lax in the take care of your body department, (I also smoked for at least 45 years) so I was expecting something to pop up. But nope. Clean as a whistle. Part of me is relieved, until I remember that just leaves more time with the wife. Double edged sword, I guess. Not sure why I felt the need to share that? But hey, if I can tell the cashier at Food Lion, I guess I can share it with my Huddle brethren as well. lol Best case; You guys are stuck with me for quite a bit longer. Worse case; You guys are stuck with me for quite a while longer. lol
-
Now to be fair. The Huddle is really good at 2 things. Living in fear of the past, and clutching those pearls so hard you need a pry bar to get them loose. IMO, the QB reps should be distributed thusly. 70% to Young, 20% to Andy, with Corral and Eason splitting the last 10%. End of discussion and close the thread. lol

There are few threads about past players. But I guess Sam is special that way. He brings out feelings in other they themselves never knew existed. -

Awful lot of hate for a guy who tried to be the best he could be. No reason to dog on a guy who is no longer around. -
All grass fields, and no Thur. football. Let's get football back to where it was when football was King.
