I think if we can get half the folks who are still stuck living in the past to join us. This place just might be bearable again. The future is brighter than it's been in a long while. And we have folks missing it because they are unhappy about something or another. Oh well, more room on the train for the rest of us.

Well, to be fair. Maybe he was watching in slow motion. lol I'll admit I gave Bryce a hard time during the draft process. But it was mostly just his size, not in how he played the game. The kid is exciting. He is just wee. And that does scare a lot of us.

There are folks on this here site who prefer the draft to actual football. They can argue past drafts, recite value charts from memory, and just know they can build a better team. We've got draft nerds, we've got Tankers, we even got a few Cap Gurus. I love this place.

I'm beginning to believe that a lot of these so called "Tankers" don't really get the concept. It seems like they want to win, until the losing starts. Then they want to tank. It's like they are fine with winning, until it interferes with their draft picks. I was of the mind that most "Tankers" never played sports. So they don't understand the concept of a team. Now I think it's just nerds who like the draft more than the actual games. I just can't believe anyone that has played an organized sport would ever advocate tanking.

First let's try and remember who was running the show last year. No way we got an honest look at Shanault. We have a new staff in town. Let's see how this year goes. Then we can start to assign blame. It's not just the Huddle. People in general are quick to assign blame. I guess we are all too busy to do the work needed to make sound judgements. The folks running the show seem to be making mostly sound decisions right now. Fingers crossed that trend continues.

I was trying to be humorous, hence the jk I threw in there. I guess I failed. Woe is me.

A writer for the Detroit Free Press wanted to give the LIons draft a C. But because they were so excited about how many of the players they wanted, they actually got. He gave them a B- lol

Now let me see if I have this right, so what you're saying is? AIS numbers are important? jk Now, what about BOA? The PSLs are already paid for. So even if nobody showed up, it would still be a sell-out. Man, I hate math.
-
Is that a rhetorical question, or do you really want an answer? Cuz I think you already know the answer. Ah hellz, it's Yes. The answer is Yes. Right about now, everybody wishes the off-season wasn't so long. lol

I once saw a pass bounce right off his face mask. I guess he took the phrase "Keep your eye on the ball" a tad too seriously. lol

Bryce Young Speaks With Panthers Legend Jake Delhomme
Gerry Green replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hey, I was in that play in High School. I played Colonel something or other. Small world. -
If we wanted him, and it appears we did. You have to go get him, or risk losing him. Best case; Both he and Terrace reach their potential. It's been a while since I've been this excited over the young talent on this team. We truly do have the makings of a really competitive team. Fingers crossed.

There has never been a draft that was highly regarded by its fanbase. There are just too many draft nerds nowadays. The nerds pick apart every pick, every move, every non move. Everything. It's easy to criticize from afar. Unless you are sitting in that seat, you have no clue what is going on behind closed doors. Maybe they wanted to do what you wanted them to. Maybe they thought it was a dumb idea. Who outside of that inner circle actually knows? Armchair GMs are rarely wrong.

First; I bet you are going to be miserable if Young goes on to have a really good career. Second; There has never been a 5'9" Peyton Manning, so he can't be the next. Third; He's 5'10" and a smidge. If you can't get your facts straight it makes it tough to take you seriously, Fourth; The vast majority of freshman in their first game have a hard enough time just getting the play off. Fifth; There are college QBs getting ready to be drafted that still wouldn't know what to do in that situation. In conclusion; You can hate Bryce all you want, but the kid knows football and how it's supposed to be played. You can make fun of his size, well, because it's right out there for all to see. But the kid is going to be fun to watch. So you might as well get used to it. Or just keep bellyaching about every little thing. Your choice.

You caught me on Wii golf night, so I'm not really set to explain your mistakes. But rest assured, there will be a sharply worded rebuttal headed your way.

Dang.. I guess we made a huge mistake?

Hey, that's your opinion, and you're welcome to it. However, I would not expect a whole lot of ppl to buy in. I will say. It is dang near impossible to find a coach that hasn't been someone's retread. Very few, and I mean VERY FEW coaches have never been fired. If that's what you are waiting for? Good luck on that one.- 85 replies

It's funny because it's true. It's also kinda sad because it's true. It's twue, it's twue. lol

And longer lines at the Unemployment Office. lol

This is a major point in this issue. Fans don't have to worry about where that coaches next job will be.
-
If there isn't meant to be a winner, why keep score?
-
It's not tanking if you call it player development. It just might be crazy enough to work. Especially if you wait until the last few weeks to implement this master plan.
-
Ah Huddle. The joy you send out to the world is priceless. May your freak flag fly forever.

It has already been brought up by one particularly clever Huddler that there are some small ponds and some very large pools. So... it may be true, then again, it may not be. Just one of those questions that may never be answered.

Here's a quote; "They even drew some similarities between him and Warriors star Jordan Poole. One fan labeled Young as "Jordan Pond", indicating him as the smaller version of Poole. " Just an innocent short joke. Nothing to see here.
